after going to royal palm location for 20 years I am highly disappointed in the service since there are new employees I go there yesterday like I do every friday and music is so loud employees are more interested in their phones and joking around didn't put provolone on my sub only to find out they were out without telling me or asking for a replacement cheese and then to have an attitude. very poor customer experience I am looking to take my business elsewhere read more

Never again - I am so grossed out. There was a large, melted piece of plastic in my French Fries - that looked like it was chewed on. The sandwiches are just as bed. The bread was pretty fresh, but the meat was NOT fresh at all. Super disappointed. read more

Worst jon smiths subs location ive ever been to. there was 5 people "working" 4 standing around talking about anime instead of doing their jobs and 1 hurrying to make my food because it wasnt ready on time . i paid $17 for the most shit sub i ever had in my life. the lettuce they served on my sub was pink. none of the ingrediencies are fresh at all. i will never be coming back and its very disappointing because i live right down the street. all of my being wanted to go back in there and throw the pink lettuce they served me all over the floor. I watch the kid scrape the pink lettuce off my sub twice and still decided to serve it to me. Close this fucking place down already. read more

This was so disappointing! We normally love Jon Smith subs and this was the first time we went to this location. The guy cooking the food was complaining and cursing loudly about how he doesn't get paid enough and that he can't cook and slice the chicken at the same time. This went on for the entire 35 minute wait for our food. Oh, except when he took a moment to say to the lady that was helping him "stir this while I go take a piss. I haven't been able to go since I got here." When we got our food the fries were cold because it took so long to get the subs. And they got our food orders wrong. We ended up eating what we got because we were so hungry. I can safely say that everyone that was sitting there waiting for their orders were also uncomfortable. Guy wasn't wearing his mask rubs his face and touches the cups.. grabs one, puts it back and a different one.. with the dirty hand! Called in order to pick up a tuna bomb. The girl asked me if I wanted a combo I said sure. She asked what size I said medium she asked with chips or fries I said chips. Arrived 5 or so minutes later paid for sub and asked for the cup for drink and if I ok to go ahead and grab chips. Got home and discovered that it was prepared as a hot sandwich. Personally not what I wanted or believed I had ordered. I called back just to express that I had received the wrong thing and perhaps should have been more specific. I'm not a nasty person and typically not even confrontational. In have gotten this same sandwich there at least 10 times in the last 6 months. Never was it grilled. They always cook the bacon but the veggies are fresh and uncooked. The person on the phone wouldn't even allow me to finish my sentence and say that. He said it ALWAYS comes that way in all the years he's worked there, I said I've ordered it a few times before and it's never come hot even though he continually interrupted me even saying that. I wasn't going to ask for a refund or even a different sandwich as I was already home. I can't imagine why he would think I would lie about what I've had there in the past, that wouldn't make any sense. As I saw the conversation was not going anywhere I simply said never mind you've just lost a customer and goodbye. I rarely ever complain and I wasn't even technically going to complain. Big, tasty subs with a large variety. We had a large order of 12 subs, all were correct but it did take a long time to complete. Ordered an hour ahead of pick up time and still waited 25 additional minutes, maybe short staffed that day? I'd still go back for lunch though, very tasty. read more

This location takes an extremely long time to make food. There were 3 people ahead of me and it took over 25 minutes to get my food. They didn't even put the fries into the fryer until after my subs were wrapped up and put in a bag. I even said I wanted my meal to go and the lady at the counter had to ask me twice if it was to go or to eat in. Aside from the speed, the kitchen equipment looks horrible. While the floors look relatively new and the hood system is in decent shape, the grill and fryer have no appeal at all. I cannot in good faith return to this store. read more

We've only had two items here and were takeout so this review is based on limited information. My wife had a tuna sub and commented that the tuna was quite good and the included produce, tomatoes etc, were very fresh. She would opt for a Publix tuna sub based on price of $6+ vs $9+. I had a cheesesteak which is beef that is sliced and then chopped on the grill (they use much thicker steak than is usually served) with grilled onions. It was really very good HOWEVER based on my Philadelphia roots and "palate training" although good, it wouldn't cut it in the City of Brotherly Love. In their defense, I think the goal here is just good sandwiches and to their credit, not trying to imitate a "Philly Cheesesteak" which for most places is a failed attempt. Their bread is fresh although nothing special; far better than Subway but not as good as an Italian (or otherwise) bakery. It was on a par with Publix supplied sub rolls. I am not a fan of Publix subs nor their bread. We would return but most likely only after about 45 minutes of back and forth conversation between us; where do you want to go, no where do you want to go? read more

customer service was great but when I took home the tuna and turkey sandwiches, one of the turkey sandwiches had an onion in it, which we never ordered, the other turkey had cheese in it, another mistake by the cook, and where did the olive pit come from with the third turkey? my two star review is relative to how much i love j.s. subs and how consistently disappointed i've been with the food i've received from this particular location. their cajun sub (my favorite), which i've ordered from this local four times, had me parting the bread and sticking my face right next to the meat, trying to figure out why the taste was so inferior to the same sandwich from other branches. problem #1: the quality of the meat. it's not nearly as tasty, not nearly as easy to chew! nor is it complemented by the same quantity/quality of other ingredients. mayo was unevenly slopped on, leaving most bites dominated by the taste of chewy meat and plain bread. we were so excited to see that doordash now offers j.s. subs, but then we realized that our order would come from the troubled local. so instead we're about to drive twice the distance, to the location on military by ochachobee, where the food has always been ammmmazing. read more

Super tasty and affordable. I'll usually get the chef salad which is always fresh and crisp with big slices of cheese on top and I'll add a scoop of tuna salad, perfect for a light but filling lunch. The subs are good as well. The Steak Bomb is very popular around my office. We all get carry out from this location at least once a week. It's a solid choice for a weekday lunch because it's super fast with friendly service, but it's way healthier and more satisfying than a typical fast food option. I also appreciate that this sub chain is locally owned. Even though there are many stores throughout Palm Beach, I've still seen the owner in the store working alongside his employees, putting together orders. read more
