The 1st one was TNHHS Team Nurses Home Health Services, Inc. They gave me the runaround on the phone all day Monday & Tuesday no one ever called me to schedule my wound care or PT. By end of day on Tuesday I called my primary doctor office to get a new referral for home support. Wednesday morning I called the new referral authorization they said they did not have the authorization yet even though I gave them the number. I destiny home health.com/ waited 5 hours & called back still they had not received authorization. I call my medical center back ask them to fax it to Destiny home, I waited 20 minutes & called them back to see if the received the authorization and believe it or she then told me they don't have staff to cover & was rerouting my authorization back to my pro. All these purr fits are so unprofessional unbelievable. Not even my dr will reach out to to assist. SAD PART IS IM AFRAID OF NOT PROPERLY HEALING BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT PT EXERCISES I NEED TO START ON MYSELF. BECAUSE I WAS TOLD BY THELMA OFFICE MANAGER THAT IT WOULD BE ANOTHER 2 WEEK TO GET A NEW APPROVAL.

From beginning to end, Dr. Lee demonstrates confidence, professionalism and expertise beyond his years. I am very pleased with not only the outcome of my parotidectomy but the entire process along the way. I hope I never have to have another surgery but if I do I will turn to Dr. Lee first!

My father was diagnosed of stage IV throat cancer at City of Hope in June 2014. Due to insurance…read moreissue, he had to be transferred to his local doctors for intense radiation therapy and chemotherapy after their tumor board decided on his treatment plan. His health deteriorated but he was able to pull through it all and recovered. A year into his recovery, he tragically started smoking again. His throat cancer then returned and the tumor was growing much more rapidly this time around. His previous doctor referred us to an ENT physician at Riverside Community Hospital. My father and I met with this resident surgeon who conducted himself in the utmost incompetent and uncertain way and advised us that he and and other three resident surgeons would do laryngectomy on my father. My father couldn't even be convinced that the surgery would make him recover again. During this time, my father's shortness of breath worsened everyday to the point he felt suffocated. He was on so many medications and had to carry oxygen tanks with him all the time. It was emotionally painful and unbearable to be around and see him suffer. His conditions worsened and he started to be in and out of emergency room. Eventually ER doctor had to perform tracheostomy and my father stayed in ICU for a week. He was then sent to a rehab center for recovery. Upon his discharge, we managed to find a new ENT doctor, Dr. Carvalho in Hemet. Dr. Carvalho finally referred us to Dr. Steve Lee at Loma Linda University Medical Center for laryngectomy. I wrote all the above because I want people to know that my family has seen a lot of doctors ranging from top notch City of Hope dctors to resident surgeons in community hospital. If you manage to find Dr. Lee at the very beginning in your journey, you should know how truly blessed you are, and you should look no further. It took us a long and painful journey to get to him. In January of 2017, Dr. Lee and his team performed laryngectomy and throat reconstruction for my father. The surgery was a success and my father has since then been cancer free and he is able to speak with his voice prothesis. Everyone in the family including myself thought we were about to lose my dad sometime before his laryngectomy, but he has recovered and started a new life. All of this is because of the beyond exceptional care he has received from Dr. Lee and his team. Dr. Lee is warm and genuinely caring. He's calm, reassuring and pleasant to be around. His humble and down-to-earth character almost makes you feel like he is just a neighbor next door and not a God-like surgeon. After many years being under Dr. Lee's care, it made us realize Dr. Lee is truly one of a kind. He is a top rated surgeon who is driven by his calling and passion as a doctor and he is wholly committed on academic research and striving to provide the best patient care with his team.

Dr Samer Ghostine is quite possibly the best spinal surgeon in the State of California. I joke that…read moreI think he uses some kind of magic, because his skills have drastically improved my life for the better. I was in a devastating car accident in 2018 when I was rammed from the back while at a stoplight. Disks in my lumbar and cervical spine were herniated, and I have since had extreme pain and progressively growing levels of physical disability. I came to Dr Ghostine initially for a spinal cord stimulator in 2021 because of my high-level lower back pain. The representative for Medtronic told me he has never seen a surgeon place the paddle and leads with as much precision as Dr Ghostine did. I was unable to walk for very far (often not even a full block) and was having many falls prior to this surgery. And when I had complications during my recovery due to preexisting scar tissue, Dr Ghostine was kind, caring, and compassionate. I have since had a stark reduction in sciatic and lower back pain, as well as improvements in mobility and a decrease in falls. About a year ago, the problems with my cervical spine became more advanced. I had a 10mm herniation to my C6-7 disk, and was having increased pain in my head, neck, shoulder, and arms, as well as numbness in all the fingers of my hands and a growing tremor in my right arm. Due to extenuating circumstances, I needed surgery to happen urgently, and Dr Ghostine and his surgery scheduler, Lekisha, worked ceaselessly to get my surgery scheduled and approved during February 2025. I was initially getting frustrated when the answering service failed to effectively communicate with my doctor's office, but once Lekisha found out I was trying so hard to contact she made other arrangements for communication, and she was instrumental in helping me get this surgery. Lekisha, thank you so much for your hard work and all the prompt communication via email! My surgery was two days ago, and I cannot believe how much better my symptoms are in such a short period of time!! Immediately after I woke up, I noticed that the tremor in my right arm had completely disappeared. Much of the numbness in my right arm has resolved, and though I still have numbness in the fingers and the back of my left hand, the numbness has decreased from the level it was at prior to surgery. I still have some pain in my shoulders, but nothing close to what I was experiencing prior to surgery (aching versus stabbing/shooting pain, and at a much lower pain level), and that should be getting better with time, as well as the post-operative swelling decreases. I have also noticed that pain I have been experiencing in my legs and lower back have gotten far better, and I have strength in my legs and arms that I haven't had in many years. At age 18, I was in a 6-car pileup, and that resulted in my cervical spine lacking any degree of curvature. Not only did Dr Ghostine perform the discectomy and fusion I needed at C6-7, but he also rectified that problem, somehow giving my c-spine 10 degrees of curvature, which will help me with pain and function over time. I was told by a number of doctors that this was not possible to fix. I am elated! Dr Ghostine and his staff members, especially Lekisha, are amazing and kind people who genuinely care about their patients. I have possibilities in my future that wouldn't exist if not for them and their dedication. I cannot even find the words to express the depth of my gratitude to them for both this life-changing surgery as well as all the hard work that got me to that surgery. Thank you all so much.
