Jolt Electric is amazing. Jerry is great to work with, he is super friendly and comes with a "can do" attitude. His office gal Heather is also great to work with, when I called to get an estimate Jerry was here the next day. Once we approved the estimate (which was very reasonable) Heather had us on the schedule for the following week. There was a cancellation and Heather reached out and was able to move it up four days earlier. She said that the guys would be here between 8:00-9:00 am, Jack arrived promptly at 8:00. We had two projects for them. 1) Install a ceiling fan in a location on a vaulted ceiling where there was none. I was nervous about how this was going to happen. We don't have much of an attic and I didn't know how they were going to get electricity to that location. Jack made it look so easy. 2) Was to move a light switch around the corner. We are opening a wall between the kitchen and living room and needed some wires moved, plus I wanted the light switch on the on the other wall. My husband insisted that it could not be done without ripping out part of that wall. He wanted me to leave it where it was. When Jerry arrived, he said it will be an easy fix (thanks Jerry for letting me win that battle ). My husband still had doubts but it came out perfect! If I could, I would give these guys a 10. Jack was great, he was so friendly and respectful, he covered all the floors and furniture with plastic and cleaned everything up before he left. He made sure there wasn't a speck of dust on the floor. The whole staff is professional, personable and courteous. I would highly recommend Jolt Electric to everyone. I may be leaving this review early, because my work isn't even done yet. Quite frankly, I believe that my review will even be better after the work is done. Heather, in the office, is wonderfully helpful, kind, and empathetic. She understood that not everyone has the funds for electrical work and may need to work OT to get it. I was able to get my work pushed out in order to do this while keeping my original quote. After my original call, Jerry came out just 2 days later. He is great! I can tell that the big and small jobs that he's going to will be done efficiently. Jolt Electric was my 2nd and last bid on this work. I'm staying with them because they understood the work that I needed done and didn't try to up sell me. My 1st bid with another business were trying to sell me by thousands higher! Jolt Electric rocks! I needed a complete wiring job done for a new garage. The job needed to be completed to Carson City code to pass inspection. I called Jerry, and he outlined the work that was going to be completed, the price and the date and time him and/or his crew would be onsite to complete the work. On the day Jerry said he would arrive, his crew arrived! Darren and Jack worked a few days on this project. Each day, they would tell me what was going on, what progress was going to be made and when they would arrive the next day - like clockwork! Darren and Jack did wonderful work! The day they completed the project, I was out of town. That night, I got a text telling me they finished and I could submit for inspection. When I arrived home that evening, I flipped the switches and walked into my new lighted garage! - they did wonderful craftsman ship! Next day inspector walked through the building, checked their work out, and even commented on what a nice job they had did - yep, passed without hesitation! We were scheduled for June 29th - but they actually were able to come out early - on June 22nd. James & Michael arrived promptly and they were very knowledgeable and professional too! They did a great job installing our new ceiling fans, Ring outdoor camera, and relocating some wiring and coax in our master bedroom to make the room more functional. I hired Jolt to do the electrical for my parents home remodel. They did a fantastic job, especially during one of the worst winter storms we have had in a while. I have used Jolt's service 3 times. 2 Tesla wall connectors and a 240 line to an electric oven replacing gas oven line. Very positive phone conversations. Fast, reasonable quotes. Continuous follow ups on install date and time. Never canceled or arrived late. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, installers/repairmen. This Tesla wall connector was a more complex procedure involving the attic to hide all the cabling/wiring. The wall connector was installed in the middle of a 3 car garage vs an easier install by side wall by power inlet. The middle wall was more challenging but made for the best aesthetically pleasing location. No conduit visible. I enjoy/value neat garages. Thanks again, Jolt. Would recommend without hesitation! My husband and I own a house in Carson City, which my elderly (in their 70s) in-laws live in. A week ago, on a Thursday evening, the power suddenly went out. The rest of the block was fine and after calling the power company was told it was something with our house as the power was fine. Luckily we were able to do a sloppy fix to get the power back on for the night, but it would need to be looked at by a professional before the weekend. We did a basic Yelp search, as we do not live locally and had to go by online reviews. Normally I do not trust a business that only has 5-star reviews, but we needed someone who could come out that day! I just want to state right away that "Jolt Electric" deserves all the stars it has received!!! I spoke with Heather and after explaining the urgent need (and a father-in-law who is also in ill health) she did everything she could to get a worker out there that day. I did have to pay the emergency rate (of course), but it was well worth it! A worker was at the house within two hours of our request and fixed the problem! I am glad we do not need Jolt Electric for anything else, but would happily use them again if needed. read more

We had two rewiring projects that needed to be done in our older home. Jerry came out and gave us an estimate and his team of Joe and Jack were there within a few days. I can't tell you how refreshing it was to have a company keep their word and arrive on time, do great work, and keep us informed as they went! I called Jolt Electric based on their favorable reviews. The owner Jerry came to my house within 2 days and gave me an estimate to install a manual transfer switch to my service panel so I could use a generator during power outages. The bid was reasonable and I scheduled the work to be done about one week later. A young man by the name of Jack did the installation. He was very knowledgeable and did a very clean installation. About a month later, I lost power and hooked up the generator and was able to power my house during the outage. It is very difficult to get some service providers to even answer their telephones now days, much less than respond to a service call. Highly recommend Jolt for your electrical needs. Originally learned about their business through my sister who tasked them with installing many light fixtures. Our service was a bit more basic, replace a dated 1980's heated bathroom fan with a quiet, normal, modern fan and set up a switch and take out the vintage dial. From the timing of our estimate to install everything was complete within 2 weeks. Darren & Jeff were amazing! Darren even was patient with me wanting to watch the install of the bathroom fan (as I intend to install a less complicated version in our other bathroom). Also, they were able to complete a 2nd electrical remodel task that popped up in between my estimate and appointment without any issues. Then when I told them about my weird electrical storm that caused half my outlets not to work, they checked a few and easily reset a CGFI plug that was linked to the various other outlets within my house. Highly educational visit with these 2! Plus they cleaned up after any mess resulting from the work. Practically a miracle to get home repair work done in this timeframe in Carson Valley.
