Loved everything about this store!! My kind of place and sad I haven't know about it sooner! First…read morethoughts I had was everyone should be shopping here when buying gifts, especially for kids! Endless amount of comics, old & new. I found an issue of a comic I've been collecting for many years so was very excited to add it! Plus the re-release of it! So excited to read. If I had kids this is where I would be choosing for them to get their books. Plenty of CD's, DVDs and Rock and Roll vinyls I purchased upstairs, the guy behind the counter was so nice and talking to other locals with kids digging through the 10/$1 pokemon card bins. Was so friendly with me and informative. Was happy with what I paid. Went downstairs and browsed through the toys, I wasn't to afford a toy I wanted this time around but hoping when I come back I can! I also had a feeling I would find this figurine I missed out many years ago and beat myself up for constantly. Didn't find it this time around but when I go back if it's not so busy I will ask if they've seen. Downside is I had to drive around looking for some street parking since they don't have a lot. It was a busy Saturday, but finally found one. Also the aisles are a little tight, there were some times I felt trapped or couldn't get by people. But they're doing the best they can with the layout!

They frequently collaborate with Marvel, Mickey and friends, Sanrio, Stitch, and Minions. I like purchasing the blind boxes because I'll never know what I get. I cannot give enough stars to this magical shop nested so appropriately into the loft space…read more Wendy's shop has more personality and spirit than any shop I've ever been in. My mother and father are both artists, so I've grown up enchanted with wondrous atmospheres rich with details and intricacies... When my mom raved to my family and said we must check out Nesting, it's safe to say not only was I not disappointed, but rather I was blown away!!! It was better than I could've imagined. In college I created a giant installation made of 2,000+ keys. When I visited nesting, Wendy, the amazing owner offered to lend me all of the keys she had (over 200 of them! All vintage and unique) Naturally, being a college kid it took some time for me to organize myself and get them back to her. 2 years later I showed up with the keys and was met by the warmest welcome and desire to hear all about how the installation went. Needless to say, though I live in Austin, TX now, EVERY year when I am home for the holidays my family and I make a point to go and experience the sensational world Wendy has concocted in her welcoming nest in Concord :) Thank you Wendy for bringing us your magic year round and bringing it special luster over the holidays!

A big, thoughtfully decorated window invites one in where you will find a divine collection of childrens' clothing, accessories, books, toys and other items bound to delight any youngster. The selection is good without being overwhelming and while more pricey than, say, Walmart or similar stores, I think you get excellent value for what you are getting. Some of the lines they carry come from England and are just adorable. And it isn't just for girls - I have got things for my now almost 2 year old nephew which were original and charming. In the back by the check out area, there is a display of some lovely jewelry, bags, and other pretty things for Mom or Grandma too. Or in my case, Auntie! I got two beautiful necklaces and some earrings on my first visit. The owner and her mother run it together and both are just delightful. I've had some excellent conversations there while checking out. Young mothers with babies are often to be found there and it is a warm and welcoming place. They often have sales and weather permitting a table of interesting items outside. Whether you are shopping for a new baby or a five year old, you will find something here that is unique, well made and just what you didn't know you were looking for. Check it out! You will be very glad you did.

If you are unaware Newbury Comics has far more than just comics and is quite the iconic/notable chain in the New England area. Come here for all your anime, music, movies, books, and all the nerdy wants. Not my cup of tea but they had a huge shelve of Funko Pops for example with a huge variety of characters. Didn't check prices but I suspect it's not the cheapest store but does have a factor of connivence with their large selection. They certainly have something for everyone who steps inside. I'll shop here often to pick up new releases and scavenge through the used CDs and DVDs. I've picked up a few great deals in Salem including $2.99-$3.99 used CDs and $6.99 used DVDs and cool toys such as kazoos, bobble heads, and a George W. Newbury Comics has an Email Club which is free to join and they'll send newsletters with lists of new releases, specials, in-store events, coupons, and even cool freebies each week to your inbox. I've collected the set of Newbury Comics limited edition pint glasses, which is offered free to Email Club members with an email coupon sent throughout the year. However, several times, this store runs out of the glasses and other freebies quicker than other locations. NOTE: This store will be closing in March 2016 and relocating to The Mall At Rockingham Park in the former FYE space. This has been the trend lately of several Newbury Comics stores moving into malls (ie Nashua, Burlington MA, Peabody MA, Natick MA, Braintree MA, South Portland ME).
