The store gets new items in all the time, too, so every time we stop by there's something new. Definitely a great spot for kids in Melrose!

Some favorites are gossiping with each other loudly, staring at their phones, whispering and staring at you as you walk around or just flat out ignoring you. I'm a teacher and my students love a lot of what they carry but I genuinely don't think I can go in here anymore due to the treatment. The unprofessionalism is not worth it nor is the aggravation of spending my hard earned money at a place that clearly does not value its customers. I usually leave feeling embarrassed and judged. Would not recommend.

I like to comb through…read moredressed myself rather than have someone who just met me pick my dream dress, so this was the right place for me. The owner was busy with another bride who was ordering invitations, so my mom and I went into the (small) back room where the dresses were and we pulled anything that may have caught our eye in a range of sizes. I found about 10 dresses to try on, a few of which were the exact same dresses that I had tried on (new) at other shops. 1or 2 of them fit okay, but none of them were "the one". I have a tough body to fit because I'm quite tall, so most of the problems had to do with length. The dresses are priced at half of what the original purchase price and the brands range from David's Bridal to Vera Wang. If you're lucky, you could end up with a beautiful designer gown at 50% off. Most of the dresses already have a bustle ready to go. The owner said that their stock is constantly changing and that many brides find their dress on the 2nd or 3rd visit. The owner was helpful while I was trying on dresses, but the dressing room was also the room where all the dresses were and it was cramped. Also, beware that they don't take credit/debit cards, so bring a checkbook in case you find "the dress". I may head back there to find a veil (they have a lot of head pieces) since I think it's ridiculous to spend hundreds on a veil.

Another plus (to me) is the great music that is always playing when I'm perusing cards - it lightens the mood and enables you to fully take in all of their cards. Be sure to check the first shelf of cards when you walk through the door because a) they are relevant to the holiday/season and b) they are usually quite funny! The store does custom cards/invitations and it appears that they have a wide array available to choose from. Other custom items are stamps and letterpresses available for order. All in all, if you need a funny card, gift, or stationary then Scribe has got you covered! Definitely a wonderful shop and the location serves to bolster it's awesomeness.

Walking in, you are bombarded with every toy, comic and collectable imaginable. I was ready to find anything that I can add my to husband's collection. My husband is an avid collector of Transformers. Especially anything that's a Decepticon. I found the display of Blokees. Blokees does an amazing job with their Transformers collection. But my husband has completed a majority of the collections. But I did see Tarn and didn't know if he had it so I grabbed it just in case. I then made my way to some comics right by the Blokees. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything Transformers related. So when this sweet associate was walking past me, I pepped up real quick and asked her. She navigated me to the other side of the store. That's where all the magic was. Figurines, comics and Funko Pops. I weaved through 4 different collections of Transformers Comics and found a couple gems. I'm so excited that all 6 of the comics I got had Decepticons on the covers of them. 5 were Soundwave, my husband's favorite character. They were perfectly packaged with a hard backing to help maintain the integrity of the comic. I checked out with the sweetest employees. They were all so kind and helpful! I did end up not purchasing Tarn since my husband already had it. No pressure about not getting it and the associates were kind and put it away for me. This toy store exceeded my expectations. The employees are so kind. It literally has everything you can think of under one roof. A collectors dream come true. I'm so happy we ran into this toy store! I am excited that I found some treasures for my husband. If only all toy stores could be like this one. I'm sad that my husband couldn't experience this store with me. But if we ever come back to Salem, we will be heading to this store first.

The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and Lucy (the owner of Lucia) is really an upbeat individual. We came in looking for a new chandelier for the dining room and this was the most fun I have ever had looking for something for the home. This was an all around special experience. Lucy had us work w/Shiloh, who was fun, engaging, asked the right questions, and worked with our needs. We pulled up pictures of our wallpaper and the paint colors for the dining room on the computer, and we gave Shiloh as many measurements as possible and from there we found our chandelier! We went through all of the rooms, and there were at least a hundred (maybe two!) different styles of lights in each of the rooms, and she could answer questions about all of them. Sure that's what she's there for, but she did it in such a way that she was confidant in her answers and really understood how each of the lights would work in a room. That's what we needed and she delivered. She made chandelier shopping so easy! I can't wait to go back when we start planning another room...
