My residents were blown away by his skill. Every resident loved him. I feel like it is only right to let everyone know what my residents had to say. The following are statements made directly from them when simply ask, "What did you think of the magic show and balloon twisting?" "He was such a gentlemen. You know, very respectful. He walked around and talked to us like he knew us. Do you think he is married?" "Oh Heather, he was wonderful. He did a trick with these scarves and a tube; he stuffed them all in and pulled them out all tied together! I really looked, the tube was empty. It was just wonderful." "He doesn't know just how he made my day. I really enjoyed him. It was so nice of him to come and see us. I hope he comes back." "I wasn't even tired! Not even a little bit! My friend dozed off a little but she really missed out! He did such amazing tricks over and over. THEN he made things out of balloons! I couldn't do that. Owner Krys Bailey's introduction warning, that we may not be able to return to our seats easily if we needed to attend to a bodily call as we would be competing with cast members congregating in the lobby, was representative of the "down home" feel of Le Chat Noir. We have been long time subscription holders and have enjoyed and appreciated the play and musical selections, the set design, casting, the creative interpretation of the script and the intimate feeling of the theater. There is no poor seat. You will not be disappointed with a visit to le Chat Noir.

This one doesn't go all the way to the mountains, but you could easily spend a day on it on foot, and biking and boating are options as well. The infrastructure was good, and multiple open bathrooms and water fountains were available. The paths were generally quite wide (as former towpaths) and had plenty of space for bikes and pedestrians to share, with a couple of interesting exceptions. I didn't do any tours, but I expect the history is worth pursuing.
