Sad to say, but it has been some time since I stepped foot inside the Miller. Life and school and such requires my attention, but occasionally you just have to prioritize a night out. And that's what happened a couple of weeks ago when Pete Davidson came to town. As always the online ticket purchasing was a smooth and easy process. Confirmation email sent, check in QR code as well (to save the box office stop). A few days before the informative email with the set up (aka, your phones will be locked up) arrived. The evening of, two lines formed for check in and moved quickly. Then the safety scan (handheld metal detector) and cell phone/smart watch bagging (fyi: you keep the bag the entire time). Of course the bar and concessions were in full effect. Popcorn, candy, soda, beer, cocktails. They have you covered. If you really want to go all out, you can upgrade your ticket to a VIP experience and have access to a separate bar (aka, better snacks and drink selection). I highly appreciate the team members who help guide you to your row. I don't want to spend 10 minutes awkwardly looking for that. Also, there is a second bar in the foyer behind the seats. We were seated and ready to go. One aspect to keep in mind is that if you aren't wearing a traditional watch, there is no way to know the time and they don't forewarn you before the show starts. Per usual, the lights and sound were amazing. Even after it began team members were assisting late comers to their seats. The only delay was in the exit, but that is to be expected as everyone has to unlock their phone bag. I love having the Miller back in action downtown and seeing its lights every time I drive by. There are plenty of reasons to visit the Miller, from bands to family movies to theater, so please go as often as you can. I know I'll be back much sooner than before. read more

This review is for Movies at the Miller. I've officially reached the age where tears flow when I watch any movie with the slightest hint of sadness, happiness, or reminds me of my more youthful days. Which leads to my love of watching movies from my "era." They make great movies now but nothing compares to the movies of my time lol. I was really excited when I learned that The Miller and Queensborough bank is providing the opportunity for young and old to watch some of "my classics on the big screen. Once a month they offer free admission to enjoy "classic" movies in the beautifully restored Miller Theater. They even offer moderately priced food and beverage products to complete the experience. I suggest getting there early as they play a timeline video about the Miller Theater. I love to look back and see how time has evolved. Once the move is over I suggest finding a delicious bite from one of the many downtown restaurants. Group Suggestions: Get there early. Seating is first come first serve. Solo Suggestions: This is a great self care date. Nicely redone and beautiful inside. We sat in the first set of balcony seats and the view was great for the show we attended. We went to Cirqu Du Soleil Christmas show. The artists were pretty much in front of us for the entire show. The show was funny and entertaining. The seats were comfortable and it was clean. read more

Amazing time at the Miller Theater listening to Kenny G!!! Parking is free on Saturday night, which is always a plus in any city. I had to walk maybe 2 blocks, which was fine. I grabbed a bite to eat while in town down the street. Arriving and checking in was easy, everything well organized. They have a few bars thru out the facility for food and drinks. I really like the antiqueness of the whole place. Only issue was the seating needs to be redone, very tight, and not elevated so short people can see. I recommend just sitting in the front row next time to avoid this issue. The concert was amazing and worth every penny!! Kenny G and his band was everything and more. He performed his past songs and new of course!! Yes, I will return the Miller Theater for another show in the near future. I really like small towns that bring in amazing artist for us to enjoy without all the hassle of the bigger cities. read more

I came here for the Kenny G concert. This was my first time at Miller Theatre. It's a nice venue, not too big to lose the intimate experience. The seats were a bit uncomfortable. There were plenty of bars, but steep prices! I enjoyed my time though. I would definitely come back to this location for other shows. read more

Went to see Musica. Wasn't very good to be honest, have seen better and the auditorium was half empty. Went to get some drinks at half time and got the red wine. Lady trying to upsell us doubles. Plus the glasses are plastic ! And no one has talked about it here but those small plastic glasses have a lip on the bottom which retain wine that you can't actually drink. So expensive wine served in plastic and you can't actually drink it all! read more

This is a great venue for anything kind of entertainment event anyone could think of. The renovations to the building are remarkable. For the building to be lying vacant for over 30 years, it's like this place was never closed. There is so much rich Georgia history surrounding this place, the founder, previous owners, and current owners. I remember being a small kid and hear my mother tell us about her visits to the Miller, mostly for movies with my dad. She also never leaves out the part about her falling down a whole flight of stairs and how embarrassing it was. Fast forward years later when I became an adult when I would venture out downtown, I would normally pass the Miller Theatre. I passed it several times, a lot of the times. I would stop and just staring into the empty skeleton of the building and thinking to myself, "Why don't Augusta finally renovate this place and open it again?" And the powers that be did just that. I love how they tried to keep the place as close to the original as possible. It's like stepping into a time warp walking into the building, the lobby, and into the theatre itself. The time warp comment isn't a dig at all because this building is still beautiful!!! The Miller hasn't been open long and they are booking major events already. I wanted to go to the Miki Howard concert here for Valentine's Day this year, but it was another artist's concert that same night and I chose to go to the latter. I was recently here for the R&B Groove Fest with Midnight Star and The Whispers. Midnight Star being one of my all time favorite bands I had to be in attendance!!! The show was amazing and the house was PACKED!!! I'm so glad the Miller is back to the swing of things and conducting great entertainment again!!! I can't wait to see what other big acts that have in line to grace the stage of the Miller!!! read more

Came here for a Tommy Emanuel concert, a fantastic acoustic guitarist. This theater was made for that kind of concert. The acoustics of the music venue we're a perfect fit for Tommy. He remarked how the people of Agusta should be proud that they had such a remarkable place. I will not hesitate to return here for future small concerts of 1000-2000. read more

Recently attended the Fortune Feimster Stand up comedy show at Miller theater and really enjoyed the venue and vibe. Up until I attended the event I had not even realized that the theater was on Broad street and actively in use. Super grateful that I have discovered this hidden gem right in downtown Augusta and have joined their e-mail newsletters so that I can stay informed of upcoming events (comedy, music, special events). We sat in the balcony and the view was good (picture of view included) but next time we go I want to sit in the box center seats, those look like they have a great view and the tables and chairs look comfy not to mention they are right near the bar. On a separate note the seating is numbered by odd and even depending on what side of the theater your sitting on. For example we were on the balcony Row D seat 21 and 23. They were on the balcony left side so all the seats are odd numbered. I didn't know that so when I purchased the tickets I was originally concerned that we wouldn't be sitting near each other until the ticket office explained to me how the seats were numbered. read more

Great venue with a nostalgic vibe. Augusta has done a great job on maintaining these older buildings to host different entertainment events. They have a full bar for those who like to partake. You can buy the seats online, however keep in mind they are paired by odd and even numbers. So my wife and I were row D, seat 21 and 23 but were next to each other. At least in the balcony. We came to see a comedy show and the acoustics were good. I would definitely recommend coming and keeping venues like this alive for future generations. I just wish they served food, I was starving. read more

Beautiful, classy, historical- a must-see when visiting Augusta! A fun fact about when they were restoring this historic gem: they discovered the amazing murals on both sides of the stage hiding behind walls that had been put up to cover them. I can only imagine some prude in charge during an earlier renovation was offended by the nude figures and decided to cover them up. I'm thrilled that when the murals were discovered in the recent renovation, they were restored! I absolutely love them! read more

I love the way they remodeled this theater. I remember coming here in the 70's for kung fu movies. Now it is a great venue for entertainment. A night of smooth groove jazz and sultry sounds. Featuring boney james and finesse. They have ushers to help seat you and attend To your needs. Restroom very clean and well stocked. The acoustics here are phenomenal. The revitalization of downtown Augusta is so exciting! The Miller Theatre is certainly a crown jewel. The renovation done on the Miller is incredible. I love all the Art Deco features that they went to the trouble to save. The Miller is a fairly small venue, but I love it! We've attended two concerts here to date. I think the acoustics are good, but you just cannot beat the atmosphere. Buy some tickets, dress up, and go to a show at The Miller. There are no formal concessions, they are usually checking your ID at the door and then giving you a wristband if you wish to purchase alcohol inside. They have a small selection of adult beverages, and a few snacks from What a Nut. Staff is friendly, helpful in locating seats and answering questions. Parking downtown is an on going issue, but we haven't had too much trouble. Keep that in mind as you plan your evening. read more

Since the nearly $23 million renovation, the Miller Theater is truly breathtaking! No cost was spared transforming the theater to its former glory which will take you back to a by-gone era. Filled with exquisite 30s' & 40' Art Deco the Miller is worth a visit in its own right. read more
