We visited last night, 1/18/26 for the Bert Kreischer show. The auditorium is very basic and easy to maneuver around. I feel there are no bad seats in this auditorium. We sat in section 15, row F seats 4 & 5 and had no problem seeing or hearing. The seats are jam packed together so you do feel like you're sitting on top of each other, but that would not stop of from coming back. We parked in the parking lot on 7th street, only $10 to park and it is right there. No walking blocks away. Great time had! read more

Somehow I have been here twice in less than a month! I guess the offerings the Bell brings to the area are just too good to resist. I love live music and you will find plenty here. You'll also have the option to see comedians, musicals, and the occasional children's production. What has always been a plus in my book is their flow. The line through security and check-in is constantly moving, the concessions are quick, and there are team members across the entire arena to help you find your seat (which is especially helpful when the lights go down!). Though I am not a snack/eat kind of person at concerts, they do have plenty to offer. Burgers, pretzels, nachos and cheese. Of course soda, water, coffee, beer, and wine are also available on every level and every corner. Every downtown needs the large arena to draw in the massive shows (and monster truck rallies), but they also need a medium sized venue so artists can stop through on their way to Atlanta or Columbia. The Bell meets that need and is a great substitute for the next few years while the James Brown Arena is being reconstructed. I hope you check a show there soon. read more

Great place to see an event in Augusta. They have something for everyone. I've seen all kinds of things here, from MMA to comedy to R&B, to country... I really enjoyed Diana Ross, and most recently Chicago. The seats are pretty comfy in the balcony area, but there isn't a bad seat in the house. read more

I took my daughters ages 11 months, 10, and 14 to see Bring It Live and they loved it. If you don't know what Bring It! Is, it's a majorette show that comes on Lifetime network. It follows Coach D and her girls that dance and go around battling other teams. The tickets were $60 per person and I didn't have to get one for my little one. Parking on premises was $5, but I opted to park on 8th Street, free of charge. The show started at 7:30, but the doors opened an hour earlier. Security checked everyone before getting in line and the line moved rather quickly. I had my tickets saved on my phone and the doorman scanned it and told me where to go. All in all from car, to security, to seat took about 10 minutes although there were lots of people everywhere. When walking down the hall to my designated section, you can hear the dj playing music. He had to get the crowd hyped and ready for the performance. When the dolls took the stage everyone was up out of their seats! The show had lots of lights, lots of dancing and hair whipping, flips, and moves I wouldn't dare try. The girls gave high energy from beginning to end. The show over exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be the same old routines that you see on tv, but there was much much more. The dance captain Coach D gave a great performance as well as great inspirational speeches. She also interacted with fans in the crowd. I'm happy I decided to get tickets because my girls were ecstatic when I told them I got tickets and ever since the show, that's all they've been talking about. Maxwell concert on October the 10th. A very grand show with seats on the floor near the stage. Maxwell showed up and showed out. The show featured Ambrosia as well. She performed magnificently. The BELL AUDITORIUM was the perfect spot for this show. The acoustics in this auditorium are perfect for concerts. The service provided by staff is great. The Bell Auditorium is built with very reasonable spatial design; anywhere you sit will serve good views to the stage. It does not have the most fancy or luxurious interiors, however, it poses well for graduations and semi-intimate concerts. I did not notice disability-friendly set ups, especially with all the temporary bleacher stairs they set up for some events. I suggest being cautious when walking on those, they feel a bit wobbly at times when you are walking up and down! There are concession stands inside, so they do not permit outside food. Parking does get a bit tricky though, so make sure you arrive early enough to find parking in the lots across the street! read more

I'm personally a fan of the Bell Auditorium. This is the best place to see a concert. Why? Well because there's no bad seat in the house. I've been for various events from graduations to concerts. Regardless of the seat, you're able to enjoy everything that's happening on stage. Now the decor is quite dated. The Bell Auditorium could use a makeover, however, I think they have way too many booked events to take any downtime for a makeover. They have plenty of concessions. Upstairs and downstairs. There's plenty of street parking. I actually like that they don't have parking deck. It just gives you a good city vibe to park a couple of blocks away and walk to the venue. I come to the Bell Auditorium from time to time. It's a pretty good venue for all types of shows. The shows I have attended have gone on without a hitch. The floor seats are pretty spacious but the balcony level seats are pretty cramped being behind a wall so your knees are in the wall. It was very hard to enjoy the show with your knees smashed into this wall and other patrons seated next to you. It got pretty cramped. The ushers were great at helping you find your seats and answering any questions that someone may have. The place was clean and in perfect order. Other than the seating arrangement in the balcony, everything else was fine. Keep up the good work!!!! read more

Have enjoyed the concerts; however, as many others have stated this Auditorium is in need of renovations. The foyer is entirely too small as it serves not only as the entrance, but you get your drinks/snacks and take photos. The lines get long and create jams wherever you turn. I do like how the seating is set so that you can see the stage regardless of your seat assignment and that there is staff to assist when needed. read more

Really they need to do some work. Everything is dated the staff is not the friendliest and their policy on re-entry is ridiculous. When you have intermission if you have ticket stubs and need to step out you should be allowed to come back in. I think if they replaced the carpets trained the staff to be friendlier and changed their return policy they would be 4 stars. The hardwood they replaced looks great. Can't get five stars with the location parking is bad. read more

I am not impressed, and though this may not be the worst venue around, I have attended both JBA and the Bell and was surprised the locals tolerate this. I wrote this letter to the GM and hopefully the venues will be better platforms for the presentation of the Arts. When I get better seating and food choices at the local performing arts school a few blocks from the Augusta Entertainment Complex for a lot less cost to myself as the consumer, that is not a good sign, the school (Jessye Norman School of the Arts). I sadly am concerned this may not go anywhere but I need to address this. I have attended concerts at both JBA and the Bell and I am not pleased at how things were setup. Mainly my complaint is with the seating, when I attended the Charlie Wilson/Fantasia show last year at JBA and though I was informed I had good upper level seats (which the view was great), I was very taken aback at how unprofessionally the stage looked, the backdrop looked at just it was an huge set of drapes in which I was still able to see the back areas down to the hallway where the artists I assumed would come from their dressing rooms. Also I was told the JBA was renovated, I don't know what 'renovations' were done , but certainly , the seating(which was a bit closer than I expected and I'm 5'11, the gentleman next to me and his date were taller than I and my date, she was about 5'7" , and he was certainly at least 6'4" and looked very uncomfortable . I chalked everything up to just hey anyone can have a bad day (the stage setup) and I told myself that I will get floor seating next time. Fast forward to the Jagged Edge, Mint Condition Concert, I heard from many friends form the Augusta area that the Bell would be a better venue. I purchased ticket in the section behind VIP (floor section) and was excited about seeing this concert in the 'better' venue, we got there early and when they allowed us in it wasn't until around 7:45 that we were allowed in (side note, need to have better snack choices or some type of heavy hors-d'oeuvre available to purchase, even some light food stands outside, and 11.00 for regular beer that sells for 3.00? now that's a markup) now back to the seating. The seating was atrocious , they look liked seats that would be in the principal's office and to have them so close together to make a buck and sardine us made absolutely no sense , the seats didn't have any type of ergonomic design to invoke comfort while sitting for any length of time , and cloth? They looked like they were from a school and the stage setup didn't look much better, realistically, I scanned the whole area and felt as if I were in a gymnasium that was setup for a prep rally instead of an even semi decent entertainment theater. I didn't want to write anything till I gave both a chance and hoped to just go the better venue, but I am not impressed with either, and this will be reflected. I am sorry that I had to write this, but hopefully steps will be taken to present the Arts in better venues, when I have better seating at the local performing arts school a few blocks from your venues at a much cheaper cost, that is not good , if you are not aware which school ( Jessye Norman School of the Performing Arts) read more
