FH Furr (via Costco) quoted us about $29K. KD Mechanical quoted us about $18K and we went with them. The installation occurred over 2 days in October 2022 and was done in a very professional manner. Notably, we had a problem with the master bedroom (which sits over the garage) being cold in the winter months. We discussed options with KD Mechanical - including running another line into the master bedroom. In the end, we decided to wait until after the new system was installed and then reassess. With the new system and a sensor in the master bedroom, that room is no longer cold in the winter months. Unfortunately, several months later we found water spots in the ceiling and walls just below the HVAC unit in the attic. We called KD Mechanical and they identified and fixed the HVAC leak free of charge. Not only that, they also sent out a drywall repairman to repair and paint the stained walls. Again, KD Mechanical took care of the expense. I could NOT be happier about going with KD Mechanical for my new HVAC system. Bryan Leesburg, VA

Relax HVAC sent a prompt personalized reply to my message (as opposed to an automated response which 75% of the other companies sent) and requested a call to ensure they best understood all the details of my situation. I spoke with the owner, Nasser, and he was extremely patient with me and listened in detail to what I was facing and he provided a few solutions over the phone for me to consider. I decided to go with one of the options Nasser provided and we scheduled a time the next day for him to service and make a minor repair to my system. Nasser arrived on time and walked me through every step of what he was doing and explained what I could expect. My unit was up and running in less than 30 minutes and I will definitely be using Nasser and Relax HVAC in the future should I have any HVAC needs.

I highly recommend using T&T Associates for any kind of HVAC services. I was always skeptical about tune up service providers as they would come up with unknown surprise problems to add up more on final invoices, particularly those big annual service contract providers that would end up costing several times more than if you would not bother having them. He suggested a method that would save me cost and aggravation in the installation process (viz., the closet housing one of the units had a narrow opening and some other estimators wanted to rip out the door frame, which Mr. Kapur determined was unnecessary.) The pricing of replacement HVACs was competitive and the installation crew was respectful, hard-working and very competent, finishing all of the project in under one day. I am very satisfied with everything Mannix did on my property.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Mannix Heating & Cooling. I contacted the…read morecompany regarding an Aprilaire humidifier recall because my humidifier was not working. As a homeowner, I don't know whether the issue is the recalled electrode, the humidifier itself, the wiring, or the HVAC controls. That's exactly why I hired an HVAC company--to diagnose the problem. Instead, technician Silvio Guerrero immediately stated there would be two separate charges before inspecting a single component. I even suggested we set the recall aside and simply use the visit to diagnose why my humidifier wasn't working. Rather than inspecting anything or explaining what the charges covered, he repeatedly said, "It's two charges," stated he was very busy with other service calls and didn't have time to deal with this, told me to call the office, suggested I hire another company, and left. My HVAC system itself is brand new and working perfectly. My humidifier, however, is wired into the HVAC control board. I was not asking for an HVAC repair--I was asking for my humidifier to be diagnosed. If checking the HVAC control board as part of diagnosing the humidifier required an additional charge, that should have been explained after inspecting the system. Instead, the moment the discussion involved the HVAC control board, it seemed to automatically become a separate charge without anyone even looking at the equipment. What made the experience even worse was management's response. Instead of listening to my concerns, I was told I was "argumentative" and accused of "double dipping." That accusation was both unfair and insulting. I never asked for free work or refused to pay for legitimate diagnostics. I simply expected the technician to inspect the problem, explain what he found, identify what was covered by the recall, explain any additional charges, and then let me decide how to proceed. This entire experience reflected poor communication, impatience, and a lack of professionalism from both the technician and management. Customers deserve a proper diagnosis and a clear explanation before being asked to authorize additional charges--not assumptions, accusations, and a technician who walks away without inspecting the problem. I have completely lost confidence in Mannix Heating & Cooling and will never use this company again.
