More than a month later, after numerous unanswered calls and messages, I finally reached someone who scheduled the replacement for the end of that week. However, we were then told the labor cost would be $1,500. The installers themselves were great, but unfortunately the experience with the company left a very bad impression. The installation took a little over an hour, and when I called to ask about the labor charge, I was told it was simply a flat installation fee. It felt like the warranty ultimately provided little value because the labor cost essentially offset any benefit. I reached out to discuss paying what seemed like a fair labor amount and to see if there was any flexibility, but true to the overall experience, my call was never returned. There are too many companies that value customer service and long-term relationships to continue supporting one that doesn't respond or work toward a reasonable solution. Losing a long-time customer may not matter to them, but it matters to me. I would recommend looking elsewhere, as my experience was that the warranty meant very little, communication was poor, and management never made an effort to resolve the situation. Reading other reviews, it all makes sense.

June 2026: We are now six months without HVAC and I just found out Bowmans never ordered the parts to repair my HVAC... even though it is fully warrantied for parts and labor by them. And now the office manager Jennifer will not return my phone calls after getting American Standard (Trane) involved. May 2026: My HVAC system is under a parts and labor warranty with Bowmans. However, they have failed to properly service the system or obtain the necessary parts to complete repairs for over four months. As a result, we have been left without both air conditioning and heat. Despite the urgency of this issue, there has been no clear timeline for repair, no meaningful communication, and no resolution. Their lack of responsiveness and failure to act demonstrate a concerning disregard for the situation.

He identified some issues, but never told me what the required repairs would be. Then he told me that the repairs would cost us 75% of the cost of a new unit. He said that the AC unit needed to be replaced and possibly the air handler and even the water heater. This last recommendation made me skeptical. I asked for a quote on the repairs and separately on the cost of replacement. He said that replacement would require another 90 minute appointment; which I was not ready to commit too. I was expecting a quote and detailed listing of the repairs. We never received this quote. Based on the technician's description of the issues, my husband and I were able consider some potential repairs on our own. We made the repairs on our own (coil cleaning, capacitor replacement) and everything seems to be functioning well so far. My concern was that AllTech immediately jumps to a recommendation of replacement if a unit is older than 10 years. We never received a quote on the cost of repair. The repairs my husband and I made required roughly $30 worth of parts. I wish that AllTech would have provided the quote for repairs and not immediately jumped to the cost of an entirely new AC system. Also suggesting to replace the air handler and water heater was excessive.

I have had the worst experience with their technician! He walked in and looked at my house with…read moreseveral electrical problems. First the GFI was not working property, I couldn't push the button and reset it after several tries. Bob, the Senior technician according to the email this company sent me, was able to push the button and made it work. So he told me that my home warranty won't pay for the replacement if it works. OK, fine! The next problem is the ventilation fan above the stove that was in the ceiling that won't turn on and there is a switch that we suspect was the control. He took off the plate of the switch, and told me that the switch had no electricity in it. And I asked him if he could figure out if it was a bad switch, a bad breaker, a bad or the wiring or the fan that is not working. He replied: "I don't know what that is, and I have never seen it in my life!" "I won't touch that greasy thing!" I told him it has been cleaned by professional cleaners twice and acknowledged that it was still greasy, but asked him if he could wear a gloves to at least to look at the fan. Nope! Bob just walked off the site and told me that he would refer me to another company. What a diva! Even though I am not an electrician, I have seen several fans like this in old houses. For an electrician who is not hired to strut the runway but solving my problems, this diva is not up to the job! They took more than a week to send someone but that person is not here for work. What a waste of time! The following day, a handyman came and figured out that the wiring in the switch was reversed and he corrected it, took the cover of the fan off, cleaned it up and made it work.
