1 star -- Misleading communication, attempted pass-off of unfinished work, and new damage (Mar…read more2-11, 2026) This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing repair experiences I've had. My vehicle (a 2022 Dodge Challenger GT) was at Caliber Collision (3201 W Rock Creek Rd, Norman, OK) from March 2 to March 11, 2026 for claim-related repairs. From the beginning, I was careful to disclose and document pre-existing blemishes. During the repair process, Brad told me multiple times that the hood required paint because the damage had penetrated the clear coat. I later received notice that repairs were completed and the vehicle was ready for pickup. During pickup, I was verbally assured the scratches were gone and the repair was complete. After driving only a short distance and viewing the hood under better lighting, I immediately saw multiple deep scratches/peck marks still present. I returned to the shop right away, and only then did Brad admit the hood had not been painted. Based on the communications I received prior to pickup, I was led to believe that painting had been done. This felt unethical and misleading, especially when I had to discover the unfinished work myself after leaving. Additionally, after inspecting the vehicle further, there were new issues that were not present before Caliber had the car, including paint transfer along the lower rear area and what appear to be paint defects/drips on the hood, along with remaining scratch visibility in areas that were supposedly corrected. Due to the quality and handling issues encountered here, USAA stepped in and coordinated to move the repairs to a different repair facility. If you use this shop: do not rely on verbal assurances, insist on written confirmation of what work was performed, and inspect your vehicle under controlled/shaded lighting before paying and leaving. Based on my experience, I would not trust this facility with any repair work.
