[Note: Dr. Goessman has moved his offices to the new medical building on Olympic College Parkway,…read morebut has the same phone number.] At the recommendation of my wife's dentist, she saw Dr. Goessman for a root canal on one of her bicuspids, performed last week. I was in the room for the initial examination, folllow-up exam and the actual procedure. In all ways, Dr. Goessman was ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. 1. In the first exam, he was careful, took his time, explained in detail what he had - and had not - found, and then had a follow-up consultation with my wife's dentist. 2. Based on those discussions, we visited him a second time, for a further examination and more review of the alternatives - both current and future. He gave us the information and let us make the decision without ANY pushing at all. Basically, it was do it now, before likely problems occur, or do it later, once there's a distinct problem. We chose to do it now. 3. He did the procedure last week, and it was COMPLETELY PAINLESS (except for the minor pin-prick of the first anesthetic injection, and even with that, he was gentle and took his time). In all three visits - and especially during every step of the actual procedure - he explained everything he was doing, and exactly what she should expect. He was also VERY attentive to ANY discomfort, much less pain (and thus, there was none!). His "bedside manner" couldn't have been better! Attentive, considerate, caring, unrushed! Would that ALL practitioners were this good! 4. He recommended taking an over-the-counter analgesic for a while, but also gave her a prescription for some stronger pain-killers, "just in case". As final evidence of how PAINLESS this was ... my wife never took any of the prescription meds! Frankly, I was amazed! I've known some number of people who've had root canals, and have NEVER heard of it being this easy, much less being COMPLETELY painless! Conclusion: Dr. Goessman isn't just a technically talented endodontist; he also makes sure that his patients are fully informed, unrushed in any way, and consistently offers the best possible consideration and caring for them. I so-state from the position of having numerous friends and former housemates in medicine, plus some years working in biomed environments. I am NOT easily impressed, and AM VERY picky about such things. (After all, it's our lives and health!)

There is no one else I'd rather trust for Ortho care than Johnsonlink. I worked at a dental office…read morefor years and this place is wonderful, from the inside out. Both doctors are wonderful but we mostly experienced Dr. Lingenbrink, and he is amazing. He's so kind, and always takes the time to talk to you to explain things, and he loves to celebrate the wins. You can tell that he is clearly passionate about what he does, and wants to provide the best care for his patients. From the moment you start treatment here, you are handled with care. Susanna was our Treatment coordinator and she did a wonderful job walking us through the treatment plan, answering all of our questions, and taking great care of us. She and Dr. Lingenbrink did a great job of informing us from that first time that while my daughter would need phase 1, she would also need phase 2 eventually, which is really great information to know when budgeting for your childs care. The front staff is always easy to get a hold of, they even let you text with questions. Sandy always knew who we were and was so friendly, taking wonderful care of us. The assistants are all really wonderful as well. We always experienced great care while we were there. We saw several of the assistants and I can't remember all of their names, but they were all truly wonderful. We had Taryen a couple times and she was also so sweet and handled my daughter with care. The waiting room has arcade games for the kids, as well as games and books for kids, so my kids always seemed well entertained. Most of the time there wasn't a huge wait and they were pretty on time, though one time we did have an hour wait. The only thing that I would suggest for them is for the longer appointments like first placing braces, etc, maybe having some sort of music or TV above the chairs to help keep kids minds off of it. I know that they see all ages, but for the kids under 12 it can be very helpful to keep their minds at ease. When my daughter finished her Phase 1, they gave her a little gift with her name on it, that featured several food items that were restricted from her diet while having braces. She loved this little detail! I can't recommend this place enough. This is definitely where all people should go for Ortho care, they are honest, transparent, professional, and have amazing bedside manner. Dr. Lingenbrink and Dr. Johnson provide the absolute best care for their patients.

I just want to start this review out by saying this is my first time ever leaving a negative review…read morein my 30 years. I have taken an adequate amount of time to make sure I can give an accurate review. My daughter first started her treatment at master orthodontic's in May of 2024, over the next 7 months there she had broken brackets almost every month, which was really hindering her progress. I wasn't positive if it was something she was doing wrong, or if the brackets were not being applied correctly. What I was told by many of the orthodontist assistants, was that they could identify by looking if it was a "hard" or "soft" break, hard being the patients fault, and soft being an issue with the application of the bracket. Twice in these 7 months I was told it was a hard break. I don't know the exact amount of times she had a broken bracket, but it was much more than 2. Finally in the 7th month, she went in and had yet another broken bracket. I expressed my concern to the assistant, simply stating I was worried about the fact that her brackets kept breaking and that she was hardly making any progress in this long amount of time, beings they couldn't move on to the next phases with her brackets consistently breaking. After expressing my concern, they brought Dr. Carlos over to speak with me (which I didn't ask for) but I was hopeful to get some advice, answers, etc. I expressed to him calmly that I was concerned about the number of breaks, lack of progress and said honestly that I was fully aware it could be completely my daughters fault but that I was just frustrated and wondered if there was anything I could do. He let me know that it had to be her fault and that he had no advice for me but that I was welcome to go to a new office. I was pretty shocked at that answer, in all these months I had never questioned anything and it felt pretty disheartening that when I finally did bring up 1 concern I was met with "you can change orthodontists" even though I was very honest that it could very well be my daughters fault. I told him I didn't wish to change orthodontists, thanked him, and made a follow up appt as usual. Fast forward maybe 2 weeks later, I received a letter from Carlos basically saying we are not welcome at his office anymore because he only wanted people there that raved about him and trusted him. He then went on to let me know in the letter about how he takes state insurance (which is what we have) as a service to the community, which I didn't feel was necessary for him to let me know, it felt to me as if he was trying to insinuate to me we were charity work and I should've been thankful and never questioned due to that. State insurance or not, he is still getting paid and I don't believe us having state insurance had any relevance in the letter. I did try to call and talk with him, but the receptionist told me that he just says we aren't a "right fit". I was genuinely confused and shocked but had to focus on getting my daughter new care. Because we do have state assistance, it was really hard to find her new care getting kicked out so abruptly. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, we've been with our new orthodontist for 7 months now and have not had ONE SINGLE broken bracket. This is why I waited to make this review, I figured this would be the only true test to know if it were my daughters fault, or an error in application.. she has made SO much progress, I'm aloud to ask any question without any of the employee's getting their ego/pride hurt (that's what I truly believe this was about) One big difference I have noticed between the offices, is the assistants have been in practice for 10, 20, 30 years. While at master, most of them are young. I'm truly so disappointed in not only the care we received at Master Orthodontist, but the way we were kicked out for simply asking a question. Especially if you are on state insurance, be very careful bringing your child here. The process of switching office's is a lengthy one, you have to do the entire process over again and run the risk of your child being denied care by the insurance even if they already have their braces on. I know Dr. Carlos knows how the process goes and I felt he did it spitefully because I questioned him. Luckily it turned out to be for the best for us, but I just felt obligated to warn others about our negative experience and hope no one else has to go through the same.
