The price quoted was a lot with a 10 week wait! But after they explained what repair entailed and what to look for when purchasing a BIble that lasts, I understood. I didn't get the name of the person that spoke to me, but she had excellent customer service skills and she used them, taking time to explain the process so very kindly. I decided to just buy the kid a new Bible (one not glued, but sown together, her recommendation) but if I ever need a book repair service, they will surely get my business. And, I'll be sure to pass on their info. Customer service is a lost art, but not at The Book Doctor!

We came to the Book Doctor with a small devotional, quite honestly a lost cause with no cover or binding and several severely damaged pages. We were hoping for some sort of cover and binding to preserve it since it is of great sentimental value and over 90 years old. What we received back was a gorgeous gem, a true made-to-order family heirloom. Not only was the cover beautiful, the binding is a work of art and pages we thought were lost forever were delicately and expertly restored. We stand amazed. Again, if you expect to do it on the cheap and have it by next week, forget it. But if the book in question matters to you and you budget for time and money, plan in advance, make an appointment with one of their experts, then expect the best. These are artisans who will pour all their skill and experience into your valued piece and devote entire days solely to its restoration.

It is a dusty, cluttered, mess and so is the owners inability to treat his customers with dignity and respect. He asked me to send the label morning as per his request I did that. I went to his shop 3 times and he was not there nor communication on door or to email me NOTHING. The next day was Friday and I came in at 3:50 well before his posted time of closing. When I came in his tiny dilapidated business he extended his hand out and said aggressively...NO I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME. I have a responsibility to my clients to get items out quickly. My shipping must be completed with 3 days or I loose my Ambassador title that was not easy to obtain. He is closed on the weekend so I chose to go on Monday one final time. Being severely sick I did not have the strength to find another place. I went Monday to pick up to pick up the level. I hand him his cost and said this will be my last time here. He looked very surprised. I said with my customers I treat them all the same whether it is $10 or $100. Further I examined that I have worked for high end millionaires and could have made him rich. I asked him why did you treat me so badly ? He told me he was stressed out. The customer is always right and must be treated with dignity and respect. I am a recent Cancer survivor and have no immune system. He was aware of this as I told him in passing. I had a double ear infection and severe SINUS infection and my oral CHEMO has horrible side effects. I have been fighting to stay alive and he has the audacity to say HE IS STRESSED. This owner could care less about my feelings that I expressed. He was condescending and actually continued to wave me away as to say...GET OUT. IF you want to get prints done in a COVID infested as it is filthy and never cleaned and you want to be disrespected continously then please go to this horrid place. I told him I would slaughter him online to which he said...THAT IS FINE. No loyalty to a regular customer probably 45 visits. This guy doesn't care about you especially if you have one thing to copy off. All customers matter. If he would have stood up with a mask on and apologized I always have forgiveness in my heart. I just bought a printer for making the labels at home. Worst experience and I cried so hard walking out as I was disgusted by his behavior. Do not ever go to this gross place in all ways trust me!
