My husband and I had some engraving work that was extremely important to our business and future profitability. We called around and spoke with numerous engravers in the DFW area. Most conversations went about the same and some even frustrated us. Then we called Custom Laser Engravers... Stephanie took the time to understand what we needed, including what we wanted the end result to look like. She asked questions, including what the items I wanted engraved are made of, instead of making an assumption, like the others we spoke with did. She told me they have more than one engraving machine and multiple techniques they can use to get different desired results. Before knowing they were getting our business, they helped us set up the artwork and gave us advice on how to achieve the look we wanted. Best of all, she was able to speak in layman's terms so I could easily understand her. Her extra time and attention resulted in our making a change in our plan, necessary to achieve the result we wanted. She was 1,000% more friendly and knowledgeable with what she could do on each item, based on the materials (instead of the item names), than her competition. She was able to tell me how quickly the job would be done (faster than her competition!!), and exactly what it would cost. They are terrible at communicating! I had been trying to contact them for over a month and they obviously do not know how to respond. It's unprofessional behavior, but sadly their the ones losing money. Taking my business elsewhere and sharing their terrible service among my friends. - and as the owner finally did contact me, (today after this post) to try and show emails that she tried to respond but apparently they never went through, she was very rude and unprofessional. My mom requested a unique design for her book urn. A Thumbs up sign with OXFORD down the spine and an OK sign below it. The reason is we were in Oxford at the Randolph hotel we were sitting by a window and these children came up and started giving my mom the thumbs up sign. My mom was a white haired elderly lady and she gives the thumbs up sign and the OK sign back to the kids and they freaked out and ran off. Clint was laughing and said mom, hand signals mean different things in different countries- you just said up yours you little a%$ hole. now when someone in the family gives you the thumbs up or ok sign you aren't quite sure what they mean. Just returned from picking up a very custom engraving piece from Custom Laser Engravers. We broke our wedding day champagne flute just in time for our 25th wedding anniversary party, a sad day for me as I am always super nostalgic.
