He did an elbow surgery for me and now my problem is worse--he told me 6-8 weeks for recovery, the new Drs i am seeing all say it can take up to a year, blatant lie from dr choi. I fear the surgery was a complete misdiagnosis with profit in mind as he was on his way out the door, now im missing months of work and my quality of life has significantly diminished. 6 months later im still barely able to use my right arm. How i wish i had researched this guy before the surgery. He did sloppy work and left a nasty scar on my arm, other Drs have told me the closure of the surgery looked unprofessional. My experiences with Associates in Orthopedics were pretty dismal as a whole. The only saving grace…read moreis the nurses/physician's assistants as they seem to be the only ones who care about the patients at all. First of all, they don't return calls. I was referred here by my primary care physician due to symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome because the location was convenient and they accept my health insurance. I called and left a message with details to call me back and set up an appointment. Since no one called me back, I had to call again and regurgitate all the information I gave then in my voicemail. Secondly, appointments never start on time. I had two appointments here total and both started about 15 minutes late without explanation, even though I arrived 5-10 minutes early. I guess they figure your time is somehow less valuable than theirs. The first appointment I spent about 90 minutes there and I was only getting X-rays and seeing the doctor. At least half of that time was spent waiting to be seen. Similarly, my second appointment was about 45 minutes (well, probably more like 30 because it started 15 minutes late) and again, I spent more time waiting than actually talking to the doctor. This was especially frustrating as I waited all that time just to be told the results of the EMG test I took were normal. I don't know if there's some legal reason they can't give me results over the phone or what, but it would have saved me the time and the copay money. Thirdly, the doctors don't really seem to care about you and just want to get you out of their hair as soon as possible. Dr. Johnson talked to me for at most 5 minutes per appointment and more or less told me the same thing each time. He seemed totally disinterested when my EMG test came back normal, even though I told him I was still having pain. He told me to see another doctor should I decide to come back, which I definitely will not. I'll go out of my way to go somewhere else if it means I'll have a better experience.

I've also seen Bill for hip issues and my pain is pretty much non existent. Bill is personable and more importantly highly skilled. I admit that over several years I've seen all but 1 of the Doctors with this practice. All but "1"…read moreof the Doctors I found were patient, allowed me to explain what happened - why I was there & how I was feeling. While examining me, all but '1" was excellent... taking the time necessary to explain their finding along with a plan of care. I've been asked kindly what medications work best for me with pain management & so on. I have never felt they were trying to rush me - well, again...all but "1" Doctor. I have noticed that the office staff have changed ...if I had done a review regarding after my first time there believe me it wouldn't include 4 stars... More like 1 or 2. However things have changed. My visit today couldn't have gone better. I walked in and was greeted by friendly workers. Before I knew it I my name called & my appointment began. I had barely waited 10 minutes.... From there each step went efficiently. It wasn't long before I saw the Dr. who again spent time with my issue, explained his findings, and plan of care. In other words that patient takes my turn. That's what happened to me , thier nurse said that is justified. - they Never answer the phone , you have to leave a message and then they call you back.

He is not a doctor, he believes he is a mental health therapist. My doctor left the practice and I…read moresaw him as a replacement doctor. What a waste of time and money. I have many problems with my back, 2 failed surgeries permanent nerve damage. The old doctor was doing nerve ablation injection. That took my pain away for 6 months at a time. This Dr had the nerve to tell me my problems are muscles, not the nerve damage! Then he moves on to telling me I need therapy and the pain is in my head. WTF!! I have had 10 plus MRI's, nerve studies, and many other test that pointed to arthritis in the joints and the nerve ablation relives the pain. I have back problems since I was 14 years old. I am know in my forties. I work full time in a high power job. I will not take pain pills or opioids. I take nothing more then over the counter IBUPROFEN. Please please please find a different doctor to see! This guy is 100% F@#king crazy! And should not be allowed to practice medicine!
