Great experience at this office. Optometrist was very detailed in explaining his findings & my…read moreoptions for glasses . Did not try to upsell me but gave me suggestions for my needs . Very professional along with the nice lady in the front office area . Had my prescription glasses ready in a few days !

Unfortunately, I won't be returning. I did like this little shop, but they didn't ASK me what I…read morewanted and grossly overcharged me. In any type of retail, especially if medically related like your eyesight/vision, customers should be provided all options for any type of lenses and the beauty of being the one paying is that THEY get to decide what to buy and how much they want to spend. That ability was taken away from me here. My prescription is very very minimal. I've had corrective eye surgeries so I don't need much at all. I picked out a pair of frames that I liked and told the person to go ahead and place my order. I had to come back in to get measured and she said they'll call me when the glasses area ready. I didn't realize until pickup that somehow, for this very simple and very minimal prescription that the glasses were $300-$400!! Say, what??? I was like ok... I paid it and I said I'm going to be checking with my insurance because this isn't right. There's no way for what I was getting it should cost me that much. I also asked for a more detail receipt, not just an amount, but give details on what exactly I was charged. Well, what I found out in the emailed detailed documentation that the person who works there who took my order decided for herself that I was going to buy the MOST expensive lenses possible. I am very upset she did that and never ASKED me what I, the person paying, wanted to buy. She never gave me any options. She never explained anything. I mean, that's your job is to lay out and describe to me what my purchase options are. She just went ahead and ordered the most expensive thing on my behalf. I didn't think of it during the purchase process (why isn't she showing & explaining lens options...) because that part is their job #1 and #2, I haven't purchased glasses in a really really long time due to my corrective eye surgeries. I didn't even think of what she was *not* doing correctly. So, I called and has this discussion and I needed some of this money back. No way am I paying almost $400 for glasses that barely have any prescription to them, thus I will barely even need/use. I liked the frames so I wanted to keep them and she offered getting the lenses remade. And I'm feeling like, I don't know that I want to do business with them again. So that wasn't my preference given what just happened, how nothing was explained and I was just charged without my consent. Next I said what if I just return the lenses and she said she would refund me. So, that's what I ended up doing. To me it's really ridiculous that she couldn't refund me the difference for the less expensive lenses and allow me to keep the lenses already manufactured and in the frame. -- THAT would have been the ideal response. -- THAT would have saved losing me as a customer for life. So, now we are just going to fully waste the most expensive, perfectly good lenses, sized only for my frames, and with my own prescription for absolutely nothing? Great. How stupid. She is the one who grossly messed up and she should have allowed me to keep those lenses for her mistake instead of being so wasteful. I'm out.

Have been going here for five years and really like the doctors and staff here…read more Doctors are very knowledgeable and so very, very helpful and kind. My eyes have never felt better to be honest. The staff know how to order a year supply of lenses- always with a rebate code through the lens company and always get you the best deal when dealing with insurance. Whether you get Dr.Jones or Dr. Puzzo- I've seen both- your eyes are in great hands lol.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I came in for a standard eye exam and was shocked to be refused…read moreservice simply because I declined extra tests using overpriced machines that I had already completed less than a year ago. I made it clear I only wanted a basic eye exam, but they wouldn't proceed unless I agreed to unnecessary add-ons -- which is unethical and disappointing. What's worse, when my daughter had her first eye exam there (and we agreed to the extra testing since it was her first visit), we were later shown eyeglass frames priced at $398 -- frames I found online for $115. When I brought this up, their attitude completely changed. Instead of acknowledging the discrepancy, they acted defensive and dismissive. It's clear they're taking advantage of patients by upselling outdated frames at ridiculous markups. This place is preying on innocent customers, and their shady, money-hungry practices are nothing short of a scam. Shame on the director and the team for treating patients this way. The people of Smoky Hill deserve better, and I'll be sharing my experience on every platform possible -- including Nextdoor -- to warn others. Avoid this place at all costs
