We're talking "through-the-roof" anxiety-ridden fear. I'd rather get in the ring and deal with the ferocious right hook of young Mike Tyson, than to see that diabolical dental hook coming towards my mouth. A recent visit to my dentist resulted in them scheduling an appointment for me with something called an endodontics office, where I would experience my worst nightmare -- the dreaded root canal. For the days leading up to the appointment I couldn't get the image out of my head of Moe Howard reaching into Curly's mouth with pliers and pulling with all his might. I didn't sleep for days. When I arrived, the staff was terrific at easing my obvious anxiety as best they could. They informed me that Dr. Susie Koagel would be handling the procedure. When she entered the treatment room she was wearing a Florida Gators dental cap. I should mention here that I am a diehard Georgia Bulldog. So the cap was not a good omen. In my mind she obviously knew I was Dawg and was here to inflict as much extra pain as possible upon me. Anxiety levels went nuclear, and procedure began. I will never say a poor word about her Gators ever again. I realize this sounds ridiculously improbable, but on a scale of 1-10 the pain level was a "0". Even when she was giving the local anesthetic I didn't feel a thing. I think it was because she was spraying air (water?) in the area of the tooth while simultaneously injecting the local. However she did it, it was amazing, zero pain. They slapped a set of headphones on me, turned on the TV, turned it up loud at my fear-driven request for drowning out any noise, and got to work. I hung out watching/listening to Field of Dreams. The local had been delivered perfectly because that side of my mouth was completely numb throughout the entire procedure. Again, absolutely no pain at all. I never felt a damn thing. Dr. Koagel is the sole reason I will never fear a dentist or endodontist office again. That's something I never even remotely thought could be possible. For that reason alone, I will forever owe her a debt of gratitude. If you need an endodontist, look no further than Crabapple Endodontics and Dr. Susie Koagel.

I can only assume that the other ones simply did not accept insurance. At this practice, on the other hand, Amanda was amazing. She was patient and supportive and took time to answer all of our questions. She took the time to determine how much our insurance would cover and provided all the information in a timely manner. The doctor was also incredible. He took time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. He went over the x-rays as well as the 3-D images to show me exactly what was happening and what my options would be. If you need an endodontist, then I would highly recommend East Cobb endodontics. Booking an appointment was smooth and easy, and I felt instantly at ease walking in. Front desk staff was amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a better hygienist! Chelsea was the sweetest person ever, and really made me feel comfortable. I have never experienced such a thorough and in-depth explanation/analysis of my teeth and dental health. We discussed my medical history and factors that could affect my teeth health, and Chelsea detailed each process that we went through. The cleaning process went smoothly and then Dr. Silver came in to check on me. She was very easy to talk to, and showed me through my x-rays and scans to tell me about what I needed to do next in my dental journey to get my teeth back on track. This guy is a crook. I went in for a dental implant on my front tooth. I lived in Johns Creek at…read morethe time and was referred to Korb from my dentist. After an evaluation, he said I needed braces. Because he doesn't like to just fill a hole. I was 50 years old. I wanted an implant because I had a cap and was afraid of it just falling off when traveling or whenever. Anyway, that was my reasoning. So I then got braces for 2 years. Had the implant which was way off plus a veneer on the tooth next to it. Then he sent me for a root canal which I seriously don't believe I even needed. The implant after 7years was loose and fell out. I rushed to a periodontist.They sent me to a dentist office I went to for another implant crown. The screw was loose and got infected. So 25,000 later w grafting and a flipper for 2 years. I got another implant and crown. It has been awful, expensive, time consuming. My gum has receded so much the implant crown is huge. I wish I had just left my teeth alone. They looked much better before I began this process. It has been a very expensive Night Mare. Thank You very much Korb. I do not recommend Dr.Korb…read more I broke my jaw and was referred to him by my dentist. Initial I thought it kind of him to come in on his day off to evaluate the damage. However, I then learned he assumed that because I was 17 years old, I broke my jaw because I was drunk and fell (not the case). When I did meet him and told him I broke my jaw by fainting, he then insisted I fainted because I was stressed with school (again, not the case). He continued to impress on me and my mother his OPINION on the cause of my accident instead of focusing on his profession of repairing the damage. He disregarded what I told him when I would describe things I noticed and felt with the movement of my jaw, to the point where he would directly state to me that I was wrong. As my treatment progressed, this same patterned of behavior continued. In the end, Dr. Korbs "treatment" resulted in my need to follow up my oral surgery with orthodontics because Dr. Korb ignored my insistence that his work was shifting my teeth. At the end of the process, my bite was not in line and I continued to have discomfort and locking with my jaw. Now, a few years later, I am finding myself in enough chronic pain that I have to re-address the poor job Dr. Korb did in aligning my jaw. In summary, Dr. Korb performed bad work and made my already traumatic experience infinitely worse with his ignorant and condescending personality. Do not go to Dr. Korb, and do NOT take your children to Dr. Korb.
