This place IS HORRIBLE. Please don't go here. Very rude, unprofessional and uncaring staff. They don't care to make their patients priority and when you try to seek help, they will hang up on you after you have paid for your services and they took the money. This office location is new to the Suwannee area, just opening up within the past two weeks. I heard of Sage Dental through my weekly networking group at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, and decided to give them a try. Sage is expanding through most of metro Atlanta, mainly OTP. There are plans to also move closer into Atlanta as well. This location was convenient to me and my job. I received a pamphlet from the Chamber and booked my appointment through that. Booking was easy, and they accepted my insurance (Humana). They also have some great deals for people that don't have insurance, so keep that in mind. Parking isn't too bad for the lot they share with the other businesses. Just look for the Twisted Taco if you're having problems getting to the place. They are in the same lot as Smoothie King. Walking in, I could tell the place was brand new. They have a keurig machine for patients and big tv for viewing. Couches for the waiting room are on their way to spruce it up more. Nina did a great job of checking me in, and answering my questions on the new patient form. I had an 8am for X-rays and check up, and 9am for cleaning. I didn't have to wait long before taken back to do x-rays with Jinal. Jinal was very friendly and helped me through the process. Apparently, technology has changed since my last visit and the X-ray bite down is now a digital upload. It did kind of hurt biting down on it, but that was the most uncomfortable part. You could tell all the machines and dental chair were new . I then had the hygienist, Ara, come in and go over X-rays and check my teeth for an assessment. She was very thorough with everything. I got a couple updates from her, then I got to see Dr. Chang. He went over ways to brush better and what he thought would be important for me on this visit. Nothing pushy, and all easy to handle. I really liked his approach and recommendations. Once he was done, I got to see Sheila, the office manager. She went over costs and what insurance would cover. Perfect!!! I decided to do the deep cleaning (it has been a long time since my last visit), and wait on the crown. Ara came back in and went to work. Thankfully I got sprayed with some numbing liquid so the pain was pretty much taken away. She worked efficiently and diligently, and got me out of there fast. I then checked out with Sheila, and received a goody bag plus an antimicrobial liquid to use for a week to assist with the deep cleaning treatment. Overall, a wonderful visit, and the staff did a great job with handling my questions and easing my worries. I didn't know what to expect after not going for so long! Beware. February 9 I paid 1300 dollars to have 3 extractions and that should have been replaced with a bridge. I was told to come back that following Tuesday to get a mold for my bridge . When I came in, the dentist said oh no come back in 2 weeks so your gums can heal a little. I agreed. I had to call back to make an appointment. When I got there on March 5th they didn't even have me booked for an appointment. I was able to see the dentist. She asked me how many weeks did I tell you ? I replied 2 . She says oh no it should be 4 weeks. Mind you it had been four weeks. I was told that I would receive a call for the appointment. As of date I have not received a call. Yesterday I called the corporate office. I still have not received a call. I called my insurance company and was told that I should not have been charged for services that have not been rendered. The dentist just stuck two funny looking teeth in my mouth. It looks worse than it did before. I work very hard for my money. This is extremely disgusted. read more

Sage Dental of Suwanee is the worst dentist I've ever been to. If your looking to get dentures this is not the place. They will give you lopsided and poorly made dentures and when you complain they will do nothing about it nor remake or refund you the money. I've been a patient at Sage Dental of Suwanee for almost 3 years. My husband and I have spent close to 18K out of pocket for Inplants, not including the insurance portion of over 60K. The way it has been billed is an issue too long to discuss. This process started almost 2 years ago, and I have yet to get the final teeth placement. When I call the office from my mobile phone, the calls are being forwarded to voice mail and no return call. I think this is very unprofessional. If there is a reason that I can't be seen, I need to be notified immediately as to why. If I had to recommend this office, I wouldn't, and that's unfortunate because Dr. Peeta is actually a great dentist. read more

2nd visit to this place to meet with Endodontist to check on my root canal issue. Endodontist came in while I was laying down on the treatment chair and says "Hi, I'm the Endodontist. You have two options... repairing your root canal or extracting the tooth/teeth and getting implants." Then she walks out... no goodbye or anything. Next thing I know the front desk lady comes in and shows me how much it will cost, saying they would need to send the estimate to my insurance company to see how much it's really going to be or something to that fact. I asked "why was I here?" and she replies "to receive consultation from the Endodontist." LOL... I literally laughed and walked out. What consultation? This Endodontist spoke to me for less than a minute and left. Never mentioned what was wrong with my root canal. I'm done going back to this place. read more

Quality of care is not very good. Took over a year and I finally got my tooth fixed after they couldn't figure it out. Putting on braces on my daughter and it's been a disaster. Would not recommend Sage Dental to anybody. Go with private dentist . Corporations don't care. read more

I love the dentist but ever since it became Sage Dental, you cant get anyone to answer the phone or call you back. Its impossible to speak to someone in the office. Once inside the people that are still there from Soft Heart, are amazing and great with my kids. However, the overall experience is now awful. read more

Horrible experience. Went for fillings and the dentist was having personal conversations the whole time talking about the other staff members, being very unprofessional. While doing my fillings the dentist accidentally suctioned my tongue causing a hematoma but my mouth was numb so it went unnoticed but she did not bring it up or apologize for it. Then I proceeded to have my teeth cleaned after my filings and the dental hygienist then brought the hematoma to my attention. Very dissatisfied with the professionalism and lack of care for the patients. Please do yourself a favor and find another dental office besides this one. read more

STOP WINCING - Sage Dental in Suwanee is the new "Gold Standard" in what dentist visits should be! The setting is warm and welcoming, as is the entire staff who work there (as opposed to cold and off-putting). Dr. Chang, the newly appointed Dental Director for Sage Dental in Georgia, is the doctor who treated my girlfriend and then me. The focus at Sage is vastly different than any other dentist office I have visited in the last 25 years, in that they focus on Education, and Prevention - as opposed to just treatment of problem teeth. In fact, I learned more about dental health and proper mouth care in just two (2) visits, than I have in my entire history of going to dentists!! As I am getting older (aren't we all?), learning HOW to take good care of my teeth and mouth is an investment I can't afford NOT to make - especially given the high costs of medical treatments. I found the pricing at Sage Dental in Suwanee to be less than one-half of the dental offices near my home in East Cobb, AND they offer a VIP program that I recommend everyone contemplate purchasing, whether or not you have insurance. The 25%- 35% savings you get as a VIP member (off their already low prices), will save you more than the cost of the program in just one or two visits over the year! My GF and I purchased the 'couples' plan and saved more than the cost of the program in just ONE VISIT! Recently relocated back to Atlanta, and it's always stressful finding a good dentist after a move. I chose this location because it's close to work and they take my insurance. Kind of just by convenience. But WOW, what an awesome dental office this place is! Every single one of the staff here are all so kind and patient. They take the time to explain what they're doing, answer questions, and give great advice. Dr. Chang is great. Nobody loves going to the dentist, but Dr. Chang and his staff made it a great experience! I'm actually looking forward to my next regular visit! read more

One word, Torture! I have had three molars removed in the past, but never have they messed or pierced/cut under my tongue nor did they mess with the teeth or gums next to the molars that were getting taken out before. This dentist is evil. She messed with And infected my gums by drilling, poking and cutting unnecessarily!!! I was there for almost 2 hrs for 2 extractions and she still left one of the 2 root tips in. This was the most horrible painful experience that I've ever had with a dentist before. She even pulled the tooth that she numbed last, first. I don't even understand why she couldn't have pulled the one she numbed first, first..? The next day when I woke up, my jaw and Gums were so swollen that it was unreal. I had to use a water pic and warm salt water in it, to even help a little but still the teeth and gums next to the two teeth pulled were in so much unnecessary pain. I thank thank God, my Heavenly Father that I had a 3min. water pic and knew to use warm salt water! My only question is why tamper with the gums and teeth all around and right next to the one that you were pulling?? This, it is not right and to me pure evil! God is watching. Karma is real. I am a child of God and I know that he is not happy with that...please remember karma. I couldn't even make it past the first call with this dental group. I asked some standard questions that were answered by the other dentists I have been surveying to choose a new office. The other offices were able to answer and provide some basis to decide if they would be able to provide the service, the basic timeline to expect, whether they take my insurance, and billing charges for a specific procedure. This office wouldn't answer those questions until I spent time and money on an exam. Well, I'm not commuting that time or money until I have a chance to compare their timing, costs, and practices to other dentists through four simple questions. This place is a no go. read more

I had my RCT done at this place. Before starting the work they asked me to sign the estimates. When I pointed out some irregularities in it, they asked me to sign it for now and that they will correct it later. I did that. After the procedure was done, when I checked back the changes in the bill were not done correctly. I raised that with them, and they said this is what the system asks us to charge you, and we cannot do anything. I requested a few minutes as I wanted to clarify that with the Insurance helpline. Insurance told me that as per the contract with the provider the contract rates are lower and that I should be paying 30% of that contracted price. Neither of that was reflected in the Bill. The contracted price was inflated and patient responsibility was shown much higher than 30% also. I requested the person Sage Dental person at the front desk Casey or someone else from Sage Dental to talk to the insurance provider, but they would not talk, and Casey started to shout at me and ask me to pay right now or else she would call Police. I told them that I have not refused to pay the money, I only wanted to check if I was charged the right amount. But she continued shouting, yes real loud shouting, for continues few minutes as if by questioning and trying to verify the bill & charges, I have committed a big crime. I had kept my cool all along. Never raised my voice once. They would neither talk to Insurance folks, nor talk to the provider of the service, or their headquarters to resolve this. Eventually, I paid what they asked for and left the premise. Never again walking back into that premises. read more

I actually like the oral surgeon but the staff was very unprofessional, making personal calls while I was waiting to go over treatment plan. Then a when I went to a different location but same company they had different prices and also stated that I needed crowns when two other dentist said I only needed fillings. I called and left a voicemail and spoke with a receptionist and asked for a return call, and still haven't received a call bk. I am very unhappy with this company and I will not refer anyone to them for any service. read more

I would never recommend this company to anyone. Yelp physically would not allow me to choose zero stars, otherwise I would have. I am actually now devoted to making sure to let everyone know not to trust them with your care. I attended a consultation to get my wisdom teeth out. My appointment was at 11 am. I got there about 15 minutes early and was not called back until 11:55! Then the surgeon did not come in to talk to me until 12:15. I did not leave until almost 1 pm and yet the surgeon only talked to me for about 7-8 minutes. I was told they were very impacted and I had several possible complications. I was scheduled to get them extracted one week from my consultation. Less than 24 hours prior to when I was to have my appointment they called me and told me they did not have the sedation necessary to preform the surgery. They "offered" to send me to the downtown Atlanta location (over an hour from my house) the following day. I reluctantly agreed. The next day I went to the Atlanta location only to be told they have NEVER done sedation at that location. They are grossly incompetent and I will be making sure to share my story and make my complaints known. I took the entire week off for recovery. My family took the week off to take care of me. I have wasted time. I have wasted gas. I have wasted money. And I am still in pain. I still have my wisdom teeth. DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE. DO NOT TRUST THEM! read more

Hands down, Dr. Chang is the best dentist I've seen in my life. He is so patient and kind. He spends the time to explain everything. I've learned things that I haven't ever before. Dr. Chang is so passionate on what he does. He's also funny too, which is a plus. It makes coming to the dentist fun and relaxing. All his staff's very professional and nice. PLEASE READ! To all the people who are switching their dentist over to Sage Dental, DO NOT GO THERE. I had my first visit with them today. Not very welcoming, but that was the least of my experience with them. I had planned to only come in to get a routine cleaning. I went to the back for the main doctor to look at my teeth for only 2 minutes to only tell me that I need a deep tissue cleaning. I am young and would never thought of needing a deep tissue cleaning at my age. But, fine. For this, I needed to pay over $200 out of pocket (as insurance doesn't cover it all) that current day (wasted an hour and half there just for them to tell me that). I told them I would like to just have my routine cleaning today and come back for my deep tissue cleaning. They denied me of my routine cleaning and would not clean my teeth unless I did the deep tissue cleaning the same day. I left, because as a 21 year old I felt I was being taken advantage of. Overall, THEY sent someone home with dirty teeth and AS A DENTIST denied cleaning someone's teeth. Being a dentist, wouldn't you just want to do a simple cleaning because that's what your business is all about and what your there for? read more
