I've been going to Magnolia Ridge for several years. It's a good, honest dental practice with friendly hygienists and staff.

Great new patient visit. Enjoyed my hygienist and they even fit in a jaw mold for a new bite guard. Great place!

I have never experienced dental practices run this poorly. This and Dr. Workman's other one,…read moreBraselton Smile Studio, aren't ones I'd recommend. The constant staff turnover should have been my first clue. Appointments are routinely changed, communication is disorganized, and no one seems to know what anyone else is doing. One appointment that I believed was a routine cleaning somehow turned into a 2 1/2-hour ordeal with no advance explanation. On another occasion, I was prescribed medication that should have been started before my procedure, but the prescription wasn't called in until the last minute. The event that finally destroyed my confidence happened when I went in to have a chipped tooth repaired. Instead of fixing the damaged tooth, they worked on the one next to it and ended up cracking the base of the original chipped tooth. When the anesthetic wore off, the pain became so severe that I ended up in the emergency room. The result was thousands of dollars in additional treatment that never should have happened. The administrative side has been just as bad. They billed me directly for services but never submitted the claim to my insurance, leaving me to sort out a mess that should have been handled by their office. After waiting six weeks for permanent crowns, I took time off work for the installation appointment. While I was driving there, the office called to say they had an emergency patient and couldn't see me. They sent me to another office later that afternoon, requiring me to take even more time off work. When I arrived, the COO apologized and informed me there had been no emergency at all. The dentist at the original office had simply decided not to complete my appointment. Being told one thing by the scheduling staff and something entirely different by management was the final straw. I canceled every remaining appointment that day. The irony? Months later, the same office that mishandled my care, my insurance, and my time called to remind me about a cleaning appointment they apparently forgot I had already canceled. Everyone understands that emergencies happen. Mistakes can happen too. What is much harder to accept is repeated poor communication, questionable scheduling practices, billing errors, and a pattern of wasting patients' time while expecting them to simply accept it. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone looking for reliable, organized, or trustworthy dental care. A 1 star review is generous and I'm unable to submit the review without a star.

After they failed to get the correct crown 3 different times (and I ended up with temporaries 3 different times, I finally got a permanent. The permanent they placed is completely incorrectly placed. But then we moved and I decided to give another "highly reviewed" dentist a try. Yes, the lobby/waiting area was a little fancier with nicer furniture and the dentists (a husband and wife team) had impressive pedigrees, but the appeal stopped the moment I sat down in the chair for an examination. I felt like a stranger and that I was distracting them from more important business. They talked with the hygienist behind my back (literally) as I could not see what they were looking at and I walked away feeling a lack of confidence in their ability to match the service I was used to. Buford Family Dental is transparent and takes time to both show on screen and explain in layman's terms, any dental concerns as well as recommended course of action to remedy the concern. All this is to say that I am back at Buford Family Dental. The confidence I have in both Dr Patel and Dr Kim as well as their staff is worth the drive for the service provided Buford Family Dental. Today I had a root canal on one tooth and a tooth extraction and bone graph (prep for a crown) on another tooth. 4 hours later, with the novocaine worn off, I sit with no pain and satisfied with a procedure done as well as any Endodontists or oral surgeon could have performed. I highly recommend Buford Family Dental for my family and friends.

So I did then on the day, literally when I walk into th3 office you tell me that my insurance won't cover as I recently had another treatment. Well why cant you tell me before I take off from work and drive there. Then when I say I only need extraction, you say not today as we have lunch. Like what the heck reply is that. Filling you bellies is more important than servicing patients. Never again will I use this poorly ran office.

Today was my first time visiting the Mall of Georgia Dentistry office. And I'm almost a little hesitant about writing this review because I selfishly don't want more people to find my new forever dentist's office, haha, but they certainly deserve a positive review for the great experience they provided me today. Let me begin with the staff that worked with me today. Ashley (Dental Assistant), Dr. Whyte (Dentist), and Abby (Dental Hygienist) was the best dental team I've ever had the pleasure of being a patient of in my 30+ years of being alive on this planet. The only thing that can surpass their dental care is their wonderful, kind, and fun personalities. From the moment I got into their office, I felt that I was a priority for them. Ashley guided me to my chair, asked me about my dental history, laughed about different things, etc. Then Dr. Whyte came to review my teeth and raved about my fabulously maintained teeth and gums (I'll explain why this is important in a bit), and she provided knowledge about dental care that I wasn't aware of already. Then to complete the service, Abby cleaned my teeth ever so gently while providing great conversation. Both Dr. Whyte and Abby recommended that I don't change anything about my dental routine at home because my dental health was one the best they've seen. They scheduled my next appointment and gave me a goodies bag to take home. Now let me tell you about why this experience was something I had to write about. I just recently moved to the Mall of Georgia area. I was coming from another dentistry practice that I could've continued to use because they have another office nearby my new home. However, the experience I had there the last few times I visited was SO unpleasant that I had to find a new dentist. First, I mentioned that my teeth were confirmed to be healthy and I knew this was the case because I religiously take care of them. But at the previous dentist, they told me that my teeth were in such poor health that I needed to visit the dentist four times a year versus just the two. I knew something was off about this and later found out from other reviews left online that this practice told others the same thing to make more money. Second, the last time I visited this other dental office, the hygenist was SO bad at her job that my gums were bleeding and my entire mouth ached. She replaced a previous hygenist, who was the only positive thing about that practice. She left the organization probably because of their shady practices. Anyway, this isn't about the previous dental office, but I felt I had to mention them to portray the 180-degree difference in care that the Mall of Georgia Dentistry provided me today. So in conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Mall of Georgia Dentistry. I almost wish I needed to visit them four times a year versus just the two because I had such a good time.
