This was our first visit. The front desk staff was very nice and pleasant to deal with. London the hygienist was amazing. Her kind spirit and loving words to my son put him at ease from the first contact. Dr. Stephin John was very patient took his time and we did not feel rushed. The overall experience was great that I want to switch care for myself here as well. It is not a big fancy place but customer service and skill level matters more than esthetic. read more

Completely unprofessional. They scheduled me for a Wednesday appointment at 2 pm. Then call me to tell me that I need to come in earlier or reschedule because they're closing early for thanksgiving. Buckle up guys and gals, this place will take you for a ride that feels similar to the Georgia Cyclone at Six Flags. I feel shook after my appointment with them today. I found them on my insurance's provider page and was happy to hear they could accomodate my husband and I for cleaning appointments next day (red flag). When I arrived, the tech took me back for X-rays. (For reference, it has been 3 years since my last cleaning thanks to no insurance and moving around after hubs got out of the military). Also, I was legit traumatized by past experiences so this led to my hesitancy. Anywho, the tech informed me how small my mouth was several times, thus making it difficult to take the x-rays. I know my mouth is small... but never in my life have I had mouth xrays take 30 minutes. The machines and equipment were dated and unclean looking. The radiation protection vest she put on me looked dingy, yellowed, and brown. I was really grossed out. At this point, most people would have been like, wtf, am I about to get my organs removed? What is happening here? Is this a real dental office? Is this a back alley shop that's some front for some weird, sinister shanigans. Believe you me, I had all those thoughts. The hygenist came to look at my teeth and i assumed the cleaning would finally again. Wrong. She used the metal ice pick thing to assess my gums and lo and behold, I had gingivitis! The hygenist showed me how badly my gums bled. They have rarely bled when flossing or brushing. I was then presented with an itemized list of the procedure they would perform to clean my teeth. It also had some weird upcharges for two mouthwashes. Now, shame on me for not getting a cleaning sooner... but if stab someone's gums wi the an ice pick its GONNA BLEED! Insurance would pay for it all except $192. Up front. Huh? Never in my life have I been to the dentist and have to make a separate appointment for a cleaning when i was there for... a cleaning? I am so confused. When I said I wasnt going to pay this and needed to talk to my husband (I wanted to GET OUT at this point), I was then very quickly told to go to the front and see if they could fit me in for the 'procedure'. I CAME IN FOR A CLEANING AND THEN WHILE THERE, WAS ASKED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A CLEANING. Seriously the shadiest scammiest crap I have ever experienced. 10/10 chance of me never coming back. I can only laugh... ha ha ha... out of frustration and the insanity this office offered. We go in for a semi annual check up, which is covered by insurance but they made me pay for anesthesia for cleaning... what? Ummm... i didn't have a choice NOT to get it. Never needed anesthesia for cleaning before. Like what are you doing to my teeth that I need anesthesia? But the crazy part of this whole visit is that, they take my x-ray and tell me to schedule a separate cleaning appointment. excuse me?? So, you go in for a X-ray but we need a separate visit for cleaning... TWO different appointments for an initial visit and a cleaning. I've had multiple dentist appointments in my life but this is the first time they want a separate appointment for a cleaning. No, I have no intentions of coming back to your office over and over again for a simple teeth cleaning. So after this ordeal, was the cleaning out of this world, freaking amazing, the best experience I've had? Nope. Not even my top 5 cleaning experience. What a waste of time and money. read more

I am trying to find a new dentist since my old dentist doesn't accept my insurance any longer and this place is definitely money hungry! Was told I may have gingivitis even though no previous dentist has ever told me this. I've just been to my previous dentist a few weeks prior.They were also recommending unnecessary treatments. I went to a different dentist a few days after my visit here and they weren't saying the same things at all. I also had a 8am appointment and the opening person hadn't even arrived yet and I had to wait outside for about 10 minutes before she even showed up. Won't be coming back again! read more

I rarely write reviews, and typically write good ones- but this dental "office" is one of the most unprofessional, dirty, and dishonest disestablishments I've ever been to. I first waited over 2 hours to be seen for a scheduled appointment. I was then given an unnecessary deep cleaning and products I did not ask for. I paid my bill of $150 and left deciding I would never return. I later began getting bills for what my insurance supposedly did not cover. I called the office multiple times only to be put on hold or sent to a filled voice mailbox. After months of trying to contact someone I finally spoke with the manager Valerie today. It was clear from the beginning of the conversation that she had no intentions of listening to my complaints and clear indifference to the situation. While the hygienist I saw was pleasant, this office is a sham that is only out to up charge and oversell. I should have looked at the real reviews before making my appointment, as any good ones saw are obviously doctored by the corporate company. I would not bring my dog here if they paid me to. read more

A true zero. A cannot believe that they are in the blue cross dental network. The place needs a total makeover. The dental tools the hygienist used belong in a museum. Gums bled like hell and nowhere to rinse. Somebody was having a breakdown while I was waiting to check out. I told them I had to leave as they were already behind schedule - they did not bring me in until 8;40 for my 8:00 appointment. They said they would call me back to go over my treatment plan but they never did. Would not matter anyway as I would not go back for more. read more

The customer service was not what I was accustomed. I had been a patient with the Pleasant Hill Rd location for at least 5 years. I entered the establishment of Lawrenceville-Suwanne, and the dental hygienist at the front desk did not greet me. I asked her did I need to provide my insurance information; since, I was already a client of Coast Dental. She did not even turn to acknowledge me. Another woman entered, and asked me if I was a new client. I answered her. She asked from my ID. I asked her the woman at the desk a receptionist. She indicated that the woman was an assistant. I didn't comfortable with the notion that the assistant to my dental care didn't have a good patient manner. So, I left the office without my cleaning. read more

Had a deep cleaning done and granted I have sensitive gums and teeth. However I was put in a room where the cleaners can only do their job on one side. I was given numbing gel but it didn't help as much as I'd hoped. What really discouraged me of this place is when the cleaner took a break and my neck was hurting because I was asked to keep it on the side for so long and I was complaining my neck was hurting and the cleaning was painful she kept saying that I was making her nervous and she accidentally poked the bottom of my chin with the drill. Was NOT a pleasant experience and not planning on going back. read more

The dentist and the technicians are good to very good, the office staff are unethical crooks. Your whole mouth will be numb for 30 minutes or more while the assess your treatment options but if you dare to ask what your personal out of pocket will be the billing staff will insist that you get up out of the chair and come up front and pay your portion BEFORE any other work is done. I have plenty of money to pay I was just asking and then they treat me like I'm destitute. read more

Everyone is professional but had waiting time even with appointment everytime at all locations. Wait time is at least 30 minutes from your appointment time. Dentist in Pleasant Hill location explained the process throughout the procedure and what to expect which I appreciated. Dentist in Suwanee didn't speak much to me, instead indirectly passes info to me thru other employee. Do like they have a dental discount program but I don't know if I would come back. read more

I will not go back to the Lawrenceville location. I felt like I was at a car dealership where extra items were being added. My hygienist was more interested in who was walking past her booth than cleaning my teeth, she almost drowned me one time, I had to remove the tool from my mouth and asked her to stop. I begged her to be gentle since I had to have chemo for 4 months and could not floss during that time. She didn't listen at all. I've had it with this Coast Dental location! read more

Beware of unethical billing practices. They will bill you extra if they do not like the Insurance Company's negotiated rate for a service. The office manager (Zach) knows what he is doing and doing it purposely....he is also really rude (to both me and my insurance company). read more

Patient for 2 years and every appointment consisted of staff trying to sell me everything. I always had to double check the itemized bill and correct extra charges. My husband had an accident over a weekend and we called the emergency line who had a dentist call us a few hours later and said there is nothing they can do since it is the weekend so come in first thing Monday when they open. My poor husband couldn't eat or sleep and had to wait. Go in Monday and there is one person there who says the office is closed today (not on website or what the emergency dentist told us) and all the phones are broken. I explained our situation and she said the dentist we spoke to does not know correct office information because she travels and we would need to find another location or another dentist. Ok...bye....We have switched dentists and will never go back. read more
