If I could give them 0 stars, I would. My car had a blown head gasket and was covered under warranty. Months later I dealt with a failing engine mount that my mechanic said was a result of their faulty repair. Was told the service manager would call me back and he didn't. Now I'm dealing with 6k repairs for leaks all associated with the work they did on the head gasket and was told there is nothing they can do since it's 9 months past the parts warranty. This was all verified my my mechanics. If they did the job right the first time, all this wouldn't have happened. Lousy technicians and even worse that they don't stand behind their work. Would leave negative stats if I could. My sone test drove a truck and wanted to think about it as it was more than he initially wanted to spend. Dealership indicated if we wanted to buy let them know we were on our way about an hour before so they could get it ready. Which he did the next day. Drove the hour to the dealership just for them to say when we got there that someone just barely took it for a test drive it and if they didn't buy it then he could still buy it. Asked my son what was his second choice and they'd get that started for him. Are you kidding me what a dick move when he specifically called to say he was coming to buy the truck. The decent thing would have been to let the other people know someone was on their way to buy it. I would never recommend Johnson's auto plaza or their slimy used car salesman. On July 16th at 9:11am I setup an appt on July 28th to have my husband's 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 looked at, as it would overheat whenever you sat idle at stop lights etc. I was told to have our vehicle there by 7:30 and to expect it to be there for a couple days. On Sunday the 27th, I received a text reminder that we had an appointment the following day and to have our vehicle there by 8:15. We arrived there at 7:15, of course they were not opened yet, so we waited. My husband took the key into them at 7:30 when they opened. On Tuesday, I still had not heard back from them, so I called at 5:02pm to see what was going on. The service counter guy said, they had not had a chance to look at it and it might get looked at by the end of the week, "SINCE WE DIDN'T MAKE AN APPOINTMENT". WHAT? I told him, we would be in shortly to pick it up. When we got there, he said he had nothing in the system that showed an appointment for us. I showed him my phone, the text that we received. He said, I'm sorry, but there's nothing we can do, since you "DIDN'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT". WHAT AGAIN? I just showed you the text. Why in the world would I get a text if we did NOT have an appointment. We definitely will not go back there, and we will never buy a vehicle from them. I even sent them a message asking them to call me back regarding this incident. Crickets. Have not heard a word from anyone. Apparently, they do not care about losing a $2,000 repair. We knew what was wrong with it, because we already had it diagnosed and had already looked up what the cost should have been. Businesses like people just do not care anymore about their customers. I would like to give a huge thanks to my sales person Katey Gibson and her manager Rich Jeffers for hands down taking care of me. My situation was that I purchased a 2021 Ram 3500 Limited Mega Cab that I had around a month and it threw an error code for the DPF. Well if you know anything about those filters being replaced is that they are very pricey. I call the dealership to talk to Katey, but she was off that day. She reached back out to me the same day even though she was off to find out what it was that I needed and I explained the situation to her and she got with her management. The next day I talked to Katey and explained that I would pay for the work up front if I could be reimbursed. A few minutes later she gave me word from her management (Rich Jeffers) to have the work done and the dealership would reimburse me in full. I tend to loyal too people/dealerships ect.. that stands to take care of their customers and not treat people as just a sale. The worst experience of my life. I bought my 2022 ram there back in November of 2023. I had a great shopping experience with Jose. 3 DAYS AGO, I went to go buy a jeep 2021 gladiator. The 3 days I've had it I noticed that every time I passed a bump or train tracks, the steering wheel would shake uncontrollably. I took it back to Olga which she proved great service also but then had DAVE WAGNER the sales manager take it on a test drive because I quote he "Didn't believe us". While driving it for 10 mins he came up with random excuses saying it was because we weren't use to jeeps. Then he says it's because the tires were over filled and the proceeded to take it in and get some air out the tires. He brings it back to us and says that that's all he's able to do and we proceed to tell him that we do NOT want the jeep anymore because it's unsafe to drive and we believe that was not the issue. There is no way we bought the jeep 3 days ago and it's shaking this badly. He then gives us horrible attitude and shrugs his shoulders like he doesn't care and walks off as my mom was speaking to him about her concerns. As Hispanic people we truly believe he would have not treated us this way if we were white. I can bet that if we were white customers he would have not shrugged his shoulders and walked off while we were talking to him or even said he didn't believe us at all. I'm completely disgusted with his behavior and attitude. People like this should not be working at auto dealership companies if they do not want to associate with customers in a friendly way. read more

Took my truck in for a recall and found out that it had a second recall that they were also going to take care of. After getting the truck back it now has the a check engine light that states the ABS (Anti Lock Brakes) are not working correctly. I took it back to have them correct the issue and found that they could not get me in for three weeks. This is a very mis-managed organization with un-skilled staff and a complete disregard for any type of customer service. You will be much better off taking your vehicle anywhere else as you are just a pay check for this company. I went to Johnson auto plaza today (12/21/24) looking to get an appraisal on my truck. In the process of that getting done, I found a truck I was kinda interested in. We looked at it, test drove it, the whole 9 yards. Went inside to wait for my appraisal and the sales guy comes over and says come back to my office, we'll start getting the paperwork started while they finish up. I said no I was not completely set on that truck and that I wanted to see others with less mileage. He said ok, left, came back, handed me my keys and said have a nice day. I said you aren't doing my appraisal? He said no, if you aren't buying our truck, we don't want yours. All I wanted was to see other options they had. Maybe I would've bought today but instead you loose business. I laughed, my wife and I looked at each other and walked out. In all my years of car shopping, this has never happened. My family is never going back to Johnson auto plaza. I will make sure they get no business from people I know. If I could give Johnson Auto Plaza a ZERO I would. I recently put a reservation on a vehicle. While on the phone for the reservation, we were asked if we planned to use them to finance or an outside lender. I stated to them, "I plan to use my own bank." We got to this place and decided we wanted to proceed with the car, and it was sent to be detailed. We go inside and are immediately taken into a room with a finance person. He proceeded to tell me that he would not do business with this bank (Credit Union) as they are crooks, they lie, etc. He told me that he could finance me through GM and would give me 7.1%. (My bank was giving an interest rate of 5. something %). He then continued to bash my bank and the lender. He kept saying how she would give loans to just about everyone, and how they would always get leans on them, and it would make more paperwork for him. He said she takes advantage of her customers, and she is a liar, and will never do business with her again. I let him know that she looked up on her end, and you just did this last week for them. He said that was another lie she had said. I told him isn't that her problem after you send her the title and not yours anymore. He couldn't answer that for me. I asked if I could come back with the other bank I use, and if would he accept that. (as their interest rate is also lower than GM). He told me no, that he would not be accepting any outside lender money. He then told me that he would give me an interest rate of 9.1%. I said how did we go from 7 to 9 without you even checking my credit? He told me he was doing me a favor, that to get GM to get it down to 7.1%, he would need to jump through hoops, etc. I looked up GM interest rates, and they are currently 6.99% (which I know I could easily get because of my credit). I told him, I don't understand why you wouldn't want this sale, my credit says I am approved for this lower interest rate, but you want to do something else? He told me he could upsell the vehicle like everywhere else. I said Well one, you kind of are, and two, that is not true, as I was just at a place a while back that was not doing this. He kept saying this was a hard vehicle to find, his wife drives one, etc. He then told me that I could use their financing, and then refinance with my bank. Now, before anyone else is talked into this, be careful, because they could have early pay-off fees. I also called and left a message for a finance manager, but no one has called me back either. He was a true definition of a dirty car salesperson. I will never do business here, and I hope that this review at least reaches one person who has worked their tail off for great credit and isn't willing to be taken advantage of. read more

After having my Jeep Renegade serviced at Johnson Auto Plaza (MOPAR) in late November I decided to consider an extended warranty. Asked the driver who provides rides to your home if he knew about an extended warranty. He referred me to the finance manager (J) the Jeep-Mopar area. I sent an email with my inquiry and the finance manage provided some good information. I wanted to discuss this further and I was referred to his assistant (S. F.) because he was very busy. Discussed the policy pros and cons with her. She was very kind and informative. The skeptical side of me asked if she thought if the policy was worth the money. She stated that she has had one on each of her vehicles because repairs are so very pricey. She sent me a copy of a policy for my review. After deliberation I decided to purchase the policy for my 2020 Jeep Renegade. She was very nice during the purchase process and I paid her for the policy at that time. In early December I received my policy with a receipt for my payment. The declaration page of my policy had my first name misspelled and the amount charged to my credit card was incorrect. The incorrect charge resulted in any overpayment on the policy of $89 I contacted her to let her know of both issues. She indicated she would correct the misspelling and get a check sent to me for the overcharge on my credit card. This matter occurred and was discussed on or around December 6, 2023. I have since called 2 times and received assurance the matter would be resolved. Nothing was done. So I wrote an email and left another voice message. It is now March 1, 2024 and my issues have still not been resolved. Understand I have no problem with the service I received on my Jeep at Johnson Auto Plaza. The service personnel were very professional and my Jeep runs great! It is the experience with the finance area that has left me questioning the efficiency and depth of customer service priorities in the finance area where I purchased this product. There is an error in not only the issuance of the policy but also the collection of funds for the policy. Seems to me this would be something very easy to fix with a minimum of effort. However, my numerous attempts to have this resolved have been ignored. To those looking to purchase an extended warranty from Johnson Auto Plaza I would say "Buyer Beware"! read more

A little over a month ago I brought my truck in to be looked at due to a loud pop and some rattling from the front drivers side. I left the truck on a Thursday and was told they'd look at it as soon as they could get it in. The following Tuesday I received an email addressing a number of issues to be serviced or fixed as well as the diagnostics of what I initially took the truck in for, which turned out to be a quick $300 repair. After looking over the additional issues they outlined, I noticed they said I needed new breaks all around. Along with some other small details I felt could be addressed at a later date considering they had my truck now for nearly a week I only authorized the quick $300 repair I originally took my truck in for. Fast forward a week and a half later, when I got a dash notification for service to my break assist. Not wanting to drive all the way to Johnson's, I took my truck over to breaks plus down the street from my home. They took my truck in immediately and after having it less than an hour I was told that the issue was due to a recall from Chevy. They provided paperwork for me to give to the dealership to show exactly what needed to be done. I told breaks plus that Johnson's, just two weeks ago said that the truck was in need of new breaks to which they responded, nonsense, your breaks are good for at least another year, although there was some abnormal wear in the front which was likely a result of this recall issue. I have to admit I was a bit furious that after being told less than two weeks before this I was trying to be sold new breaks around the truck without anyone pointing out a recall issue with the break assist. I explained to the gentleman what I was told by breaks plus in addition to venting my frustration that they hadn't addressed the recall to which I was told that the truck had already been serviced for the recall in December of 2019 at 52,000 miles. The funny thing is, I purchased the truck in July of 2019 at 66,000 miles and had not taken it in to a dealership until 2020. So I was either being gaslighted or their system had completely wrong info on my truck. Eventually, I reluctantly left my truck at Johnson's (around 10 am) for them to address the issue of break assist recall. I hadn't heard from them all day until I called them at around 2:30 -2:45 to see if they had gotten a chance to look at it. The service agent said that it was a pump that was covered under Chevy's recall and was fixed at no cost. Despite the great news that I wouldn't have to pay for the repairs I still remain perplexed that this was not addressed when I initially brought the truck in a week and a half prior, and that their "system," reflected that my truck has been serviced by an unknown dealership in the months after I purchased it without me knowing. I really liked Johnson's and never had an issue until they tried to charge me for new breaks without first resolving a recall issue on a bill that would have cost me over $3000 according to their estimates. I will now be taking my truck elsewhere. read more

I recently purchased a used car from Johnson Auto Plaza. It was definitely overpriced for the year as well as the amount of miles it had, not to mention hail dents and a dent on car near where you fill it with gas. May it also be noted that minimal had been done to clean the car, a wash and vacuum only, clearly no detail done because gas tank area and the under parts of car caked with dirt. It had approximately 147,000 miles and cost $11,000 plus for this Chevy Trax 2016. Fast forward less than two months and my check engine light goes on. I have only put shy of 1500 miles on it, if that. I took it to a reputable repair shop where it cost $1600 plus to get repairs done on it to where it was safe to drive and to address fuel/ issue aka check engine light. My point is be wary, there was no negotiating with them on the price when I bought this car. I feel like I was taken advantage of, and went there specifically to make sure I got a car that reliable. A car that I wouldn't have to take in to get it fixed for major issues shortly after just bought it. Lastly, I called them and told them what happened. First, they didn't respond until I said I was yelping them. Then, they deflected by saying we are a family owned business. Blah, blah... bring it into us for a second opinion. Why would I do that? I couldn't even drive it with the check engine light on. Just beware when purchasing a used car from them. read more

I bought an Audi from this dealership as it was recommended to me as a good place to get vehicles while employed with SAM HILL OIL INC. When I went in, I wanted to see what I could get approved for. When my salesman came back, he presented a car to me that I was not interested in and did not ask for. I had a car in mind. As soon as he told me how much the car was, I knew I could get the car I wanted. My girlfriend pointed out his change in attitude when he said," so if you can't get approved for the car you want, you won't buy any car from us?" I had to take the car to Audi to figure out why my safety features were not working because Johnson had no paper trail of the windshield being replaced, kept telling me there were no codes that were present and kept telling me I had to have done something to it. They would not resolve the issue. Audi sent me a video stating that the camera housing assembly was mangled, misaligned and needed recalibration. The windshield was replaced by Johnson auto plaza as it was cracked. I was told that there was nothing wrong with the car after asking multiple times what is wrong with it so I could get things fixed. The windshield was not replaced with OEM as Audi said it needed to be. I was told by Johnson that it did not need to be OEM. The rear view mirror had a wobble to it before signing documents, I was told it would get fixed, but I wasn't told it was going to be glued. I was told that they had lost over a $1,000 in making the sale by the service manager robert. I'm not sure what that had to do with trying to resolve the safety features not working and the video Audi sent me. The engine light came on the first day I had it, and they fixed it immediately, but only because it needed to pass emissions and they offered to pay for the test. I've tried resolving the issue with multiple people, but every time I talked to someone, it was like a ring of friends that had each others back. I did not receive the same customer service my coworker did. read more

My wife went in and purchased a used 2011 Toyota 4Runner limited test drove it and loved it. It had factory navigation with Bluetooth and a back up camera! Well when she picked it up they had changed the stereo to an inferior stereo in it with no navigation the back up camera doesn't work,And they put the wrong color dash panel in! Dave was the sales man was very kind and willing to try and make things right but his manager rich was by far the worst manger of any dealership I've ever dealt with. They said they threw our factory stereo away! Then they would replace the cheap $150 stereo they put in with one of comparable value of the factory. All they would do is off $800 as compensation for the $1700 they took out and threw away, just to get us out of his office after telling us to shut up multiple times. Dave I recommend you find a better dealership to work at your a good sells man and could make good money at a well managed dealership. read more

Failure to make a deal and negotiate helped them lose my business. Took my business elsewhere. I Was working with them for about a year, until I was ready to build my "perfect Jeep". When it came time, they would not offer any sort of deal on the price of the vehicle or down payment amount. To build the vehicle, they only offered MSRP, that was it, and a $2000 down payment. 3 other dealerships went below MSRP and offered a $500 down payment to order the new build. I therefore ordered thru a different dealership, who came in at $3062 below MSRP (FWP) with a $250 down payment. Johnsons failure to deal, and maintain a level of loyalty helped them lose business. A Different dealership earned my business. It is worth mentioning that another dealership came in at $2100 below MSRP and $500 deposit. So, everyone...shop around at other dealers, for a better price than Johnson will offer. You will be pleasantly surprised that there are better deals than Johnson!!!!!! read more

This dates back all the way to my original purchase of a 2015 SRT392 Challenger. The deal and purchase went OK until I got to the back-end with with thier lying finance manager. Johnson gets one star only because of this dirt bag. He sold me an extended, third party, warranty which I left with. A few days later, I did some shopping and found a Mopar backed 7/75 warranty with no deductible at a better price. I called the guy back and asked if he could match the Mopar warranty I found and refund the difference. He said he would and made the switch for me. Several days went by with no refund check. I tried calling him, at least 4 times, and he would not take or return my calls. The refund difference was around $250 which would have been nice to have but I eventually gave up and will never give them my business again. Fast forward to today. My 2015 is now out of factory warranty. I haven't needed the extended until now so checked the paperwork. Turns out the guy gave Mopar the wrong spelling on my last name so the warranty has been void all these years. I called Mopar Warranty and they fixed it over the phone so it got reinstated. Turns out the final nail for Johnson is the no deductible warranty I paid for actually has a $100 deductable. read more

I have never had a dealership look so hard into finding me rebates to save me money. She looked more even after I signed the initial agreement and she saved me even more money. I also asked them if they could program some cargo lights that I had put in myself and the service department was very helpful and did them no question. I found a car through Cargurus and at Johnson's Dodge in Colorado. I researched the dealership through Google reviews etc and found that Rich Jeffers was quite the salesman, I was wrong! I inquired on a vehicle at Johnson's Dodge and was then contacted by Rich Jeffers. He asked me to fill out a pre approval which I did, but then that's when everything went south. My credit is not the greatest and apparently Rich was keen on that fact so basically gave up on me. He did not return calls, texts or emails after that knowingly the deal was dead. I had to reach out to him to follow up on the last bank (Wells Fargo) with no answer from him. Curiously, I called with a different number and HE ANSWERED! He ducked all my calls, texts and emails knowing the deal was dead and I was a "waste of his time". He took the time to sit and talk to me, listen to my complaints, and made me feel as though he was listening to what I was saying and not just brushing me off. He was the only manager on staff and I knew he was extremely busy yet, he pushed his work aside, ignored the phone calls and gave me his full attention. We brought our truck into the service dept for a recall having to do with the airbag. When we got our truck back, the dash was cracked around the airbag panel and the airbag panel wasn't seated correctly. They agreed that the panel was not replaced correctly and fixed that, but refused to take responsibility for the cracked dash. read more
