    Shrimp Scampi pizza with tomatos
    Ksy B.

I was craving a shrimp scampi pizza today and was glad to find this place! I ordered one through GrabHub app and it was quick and convenient. Pizza was cooked nicely, had a generous amount of shrimp all over it, and they were very kind to add some tomatoes for me per my request. Not to mention, it was delicious! I was also pleasantly surprised how quick my order arrived, it took less than 30 minutes! As I was very hungry, it worked out perfectly. I'll be definitely trying other items on the menu and recommending this place to everyone!

Dropped by John's Pizza. This is John and his son, Nick, the third generation in the business.

Our neighbor in Virginia, Maria, told us to come here as it is her brother's pizza place. Had a pepperoni pizza and it was excellent. John and his son were very friendly told us about his dad and the business. Thanks Maria, John and Nick.

Waited and hour and a half for a cheese pizza to be delivered with 3 sides. The pizza was cold and they forgot the sides.

As tables became available, they would call people inside. I ended up at a small table by the bar area. I ordered a small chicken and prosciutto pizza. It was excellent and perfectly cooked as promised. The flavor combination was great: prosciutto, chicken, spinach, ricotta, roasted peppers, sauce, and mozzarella. So big I couldn't finish it. (Hubby was happy because he got to try something too when I got back.) In terms of service, it's the north end so a little brusque, but you'll be happy you came.

1 star First off,…read morethe pizza we received was super oily and I had to use about 10 napkins to make it edible. We ordered a pizza by phone during the St. Anthony Feast, and the woman who took our order was curt and rude from the start -- I chalked it up to the festival rush. But it got worse when we picked up. We paid $32 for a pizza and asked if we could sit inside to eat it and there were plenty of available tables. We were told no -- inside is table service only, and takeout means you take it and eat elsewhere. Fine, except there was nowhere to sit outside at the festival. When we asked about using one of their own outdoor tables (they had roughly 30, and it was 11:15am, 45 minutes before the festival even started, so the tables were empty), we were told those were reserved for table-service customers only. This was after we'd already spent $32 in their restaurant. Regina's has been around for 100 years, but somewhere along the way they stopped caring about basic hospitality. Paying customers with nowhere to eat their food shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience. We won't be back.

Things I liked - My pizza - the dough was delicious, the shaved fennel was delicious My Aperol Spritz was good, the addition of olives is strange but not bad My husband had the PAPPARDELLE and it was good, I liked the currants, a new twist for pasta for me. Things that could be better- My pizza could have had a lot more of the spicy sausage. It only had maybe 4-5 small pieces on the entire thing The PAPPARDELLE could have had a lot more actual meat in the meat sauce Neither of us cared for the corn polenta. It had a taste that we didn't care for. The saffron aioli was bland and tasteless. All in all it was a good meal. Very disappointing experience. To be clear, I understand that bringing outside food into a…read morerestaurant is generally not permitted, especially when they sell desserts themselves. My issue was not the policy, but how it was handled. We walked in carrying a Mike's Pastry box in plain sight, placed it on the table, and ordered two amaros and a Coke. The waiter greeted us, saw the box, and never mentioned the policy. We then opened it and began sharing a cannoli with our 3 year old son while staff could clearly see us. A few minutes later, a large group walked in. I heard the person who appeared to be the manager or owner comment to the staff that we were "three people for two tables and only two amaros." Shortly afterward, our waiter was instructed to tell us we could not eat the cannoli. Had someone simply told us when we arrived that outside food was not allowed, we would have gladly put it away or gone somewhere else. Instead, nothing was said until after we had ordered and our son had already started eating. The staff later explained that this happens frequently because Mike's is directly across the street. If that is the case, communicating the policy when customers arrive carrying outside food seems like a simple solution. The policy is completely reasonable. The communication and customer service were disappointing.

** Cue the opera music, this is Nonna's house **…read more Cue Andrea Bocelli, 'cause this place deserves a soundtrack. First things first, I gotta kiss the ring of the Boston Godfather himself, KZ. He's the one who brought us to this joint, and when the Godfather makes a recommendation, you don't ask questions. You show up, you sit down, and you eat. Grazie, Don KZ. I owe you one, and someday, maybe that day will never come, you can call on me for a favor. I came to Boston on business, and this place made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Walkin' up those wood-paneled stairs felt like I was bein' brought in for a sit-down with the five families. Once we got seated with that wall of wine starin' at us, I knew we were in good hands. Bread hits the table with olive oil, chili flakes, and grated cheese. Already, I'm a believer. I went with the lasagna with Bolognese, and this thing was the size of a cinder block. Layers on layers, cheese meltin' out the sides, smothered in a rich meaty Bolognese. It was like goin' to Grandma's house, if Grandma was tryin' to feed the whole neighborhood. One plate could feed a family of four, easy. The rest of the crew ate like made men. Dapper Dave 2DF and Chuckie "Meatballs" joined us at the sit-down, and these two didn't come to talk business, they came to eat. Chicken piccata over angel hair loaded with lemon and capers. Cavatelli piled high with sausage, prosciutto, spinach, and onions. Fat meatballs and sausage swimmin' in red sauce over fresh ribbon pasta, and I'll let you guess which one of 'em ordered that. Nobody left hungry, nobody left disappointed. Respect. Here's how serious I am: I brought leftovers all the way back to San Diego. They packed it up nice and tight like precious cargo. Then TSA tries to tell me I gotta kick it to the curb. Excuse me? So we had a little negotiation, a sit-down right there at the checkpoint, and I got it through. Then they're eyein' it like they wanna take a bite. Fuhgeddaboudit. I wasn't sharin'. Nobody touches the lasagna. This is the kinda place that keeps you up at night wantin' more. You're in Boston and you don't eat here? That's an insult to the family, and the Godfather don't forget an insult. -- Captain 619

All of us enjoyed our meals and the portions are huge. My wife an oldest son had to take to go containers. Food doesn't come out fast, but it is certainly worth the wait.
