He spent his whole day running to Charlotte and back. It was a pain! He made me and extra key to unlock the doors, at no charge. Recently I lost the main key. I immediately thought of him and how he went the extra mile to get what I needed. He could easily charge more for his great services. Needless to say, I had to be a pain again with this crazy car key. He worked for well over an hour on my key; which ended up not being able to be programmed because of electrical/computer problems. He would not take a cent from me and referred me to someone that could help my situation. I hope many see this. Please give him your business. You will not find anyone as honest and caring.

I wasn't sure he noticed, as its not a common feature of homes to have doors that dont go inside, and after he failed to get into either of the main entrances, I wasn't eager to continue waiting for efforts that wouldn't be fruitful. Overall, quite unprofessional. I very nearly kicked him off the property. Almost, wish I did. Charged me $165. I'm not opposed to paying for good work, but I would have rather broke out the $20 window pane for the service I received. Edit: Where exactly would you have liked me to be? Being locked out, I wasn't exactly able to sit at the kitchen table and wait. I escorted you around MY property, and answered the questions you had about my property. I've reported your reply for disclosing my personal information. So you can add privacy violations to the list, and I've reduced the rating from 2 to 1 for that reason.

I called and asked for a ballpark…read moreprice to be let into a locked door and the woman on the phone told me that someone would give me an estimate when they got there. She then told me that a technician would be there within 25-30 minutes, but it took well over an hour for someone to show up. Before he got started I asked what their "flat rate" was and once again, he said he would have to evaluate before he told me. It's not a flat rate if the rate is variable based on an evaluation. Once he started working, I was treated to the most egregious plumbers crack the entire time. Definitely not something I want to see while trapped outside my house at 8 am, but thats a minor complaint, considering. He tried for MAYBE 5 minutes to blow up some airbags and poke around the threshold, and then informed me he would have to drill. I asked how much that would add to the price and he said it was an additional $150. Seemed excessive to drill a hole, but he's the "expert" and I was desperate and already late for work so I said go ahead. After drilling into my doorknob and getting in the house, he had the nerve to try and upsell me on new locks for more than double the price of the entire doorknob. I said no thank you and then asked him if this would hold up until I could make a trip to Home Depot for a new knob. He said yes, and then made a show of opening the door again to "prove it". I paid, he left, and I hoped that would be the end of it. Then I went to the store after work to get a new doorknob. The door was locked again by the time I returned. I was once again locked out of my house, and this time even my keys wouldn't work because the knob had been drilled out. All in all, he charged me an insane $250 to drill through my doorknob and then try to sell me a new one. On a side note, at NO POINT in this process did anyone ask to verify that I owned or even lived at this house. I paid with my debit card and did not receive any reception whatsoever. I am the homeowner, but the thought that someone could just request this service, sign no paperwork, pay cash and then have not even a merchants copy receipt for records seems like a MAJOR security flaw. In short: 1) They were not up front about their "flat rate fees" at any step in the process and only told me the full price AFTER the work was completed. 2) The technician made minimal effort to resolve the issue without drilling through my doorknob. 3) After drilling through my doorknob, he tried to upsell me on another overpriced service to replace the one he destroyed. 4) I fully believe he knew the destroyed lock would likely get stuck again before I could replace it on my own (on the same day) and "showing" me it would still open if I left to go get my own replacement lock was a ruse to get me to call them back later when I would need their services again. 5) Lack of security. There was no attempt to verify my identity or that I was the legal resident of the home before they let me in.

After the fact, I was charged $300. Yes, it was difficult. But I sent the explicit link to my door lock in advance for a quote...which was $250.00. Upon completion I was charged $300. What gives??????? Since posting this review I was refunded the $50 above the flat rate quoted over the phone. Great job‼‼
