Dean did an awesome job for us after our washing machine flooded our house. He was prompt, reliable, highly skilled, and very reasonable. We did a great deal of research before choosing a contractor, and got a few other quotes to boot. Save yourself the trouble and just call Dean first. You will be glad you did. read more

Dean was quick to come out and take a look at our needs, provide a fairly priced quote and had the job completed literally the next day. Couldn't be more satisfied! read more

Dean did a fantastic job with my drywall project! I would absolutely use him again. He was professional. Greeted me at my door with his business card. Came out within 24 hours of me contacting him for a quote. His quote was cheaper than I had imagined the project being and fair. He was a little more expensive than the other quote I had gotten, but I also felt with the additional cost came a sense of trust and experience. He looked like he knew what he was about and had been doing this for some time. That matters and is worth the extra money (and he wasn't dramatically higher in price). And I was right. His work is fantastic. His Yelp reviews aren't wrong. 5/5 stars is impressive and he has earned it. As soon as I let him know I wanted to hire, he scheduled a date (which was damn near immediate) to start the job. He also provided a paper quote which explained the work he'd be doing an the cost, which I appreciated. He recently moved to Charlotte from California, so NC people don't be confused when you read Cali reviews. Would absolutely recommend! Attaching before and after pictures. read more

A fantastic experience all around! Dean was prompt in getting back to our inquiry for help through Yelp, for our drywall repair job. He continued to be prompt, courteous, and professional throughout the repair process. He always wore a mask, did an outstanding job on the repair, finished in record time and he did a great job of cleaning up - a true professional, and very fair pricing! I highly recommend Finish-Rite Drywall, and will definitely use them again should the need arise. read more

Dean with Finish-Rite Drywall was professional throughout the whole process. I have a 100-year-old house with countless issues that I am constantly having to fix. This time it was newly installed drywall that needed fixing and finishing. It wasn't a large job just enough outside of my ability that I needed help. I called 3 other contractors who all decided my job wasn't big enough for them to consider. Well nuts to them. I still needed help. I get it. Sacramento is super busy with certain contracting jobs. Things I look for in a contractor: 1. Can you do the job? 2. Do you want to do the job? 3. Do I want you doing the job? 4. Can you do the job on a 100-year-old house? 5. Is the price right? All yes for Finish-Rite Drywall. Dean treated me well regardless of the size of my job and just treated me like a customer and a homeowner, with respect. He fit me into his schedule well and his work was fantastic. The finishing job is seamless to the drywall texture around the work. The price was absolutely reasonable for the time and effort. His work was definitely worth it. I would highly recommend Dean and his crew for your work. If I need additional drywall work I know I will be calling him up again. read more

Dean was great! I reached out to him for a quote and be returned my call AND came to check out the job that same day. He arrived on time and wore a mask. He gave me some good advice about my unfinished garage, and laid out a few different options he could do for me (sort of like a regular, better, best type thing) based on our budget. He sent me an official written quote via email. We set up a time for him to complete the job the following week. When the day came he texted me like 2 hours ahead and said he was running a few minutes behind- which was totally fine with me as I told him I was home all day. I really appreciated that he took the time to text me though as opposed to just showing up a bit late. He arrived, again in a mask, did a really great job and finished the project the same day. Couldn't be happier w his service- 10/10 would be happy to hire him again. read more

I highly recommend this company. Dean was great and amazing at the work he put in and went beyond what he was expected to do, which was additional work. He was professional through and through, more than reasonable price rates. He even had confirmation the day before to make sure the appointment was good to go! He came on time. Great communication. The walls look awesome afterwards! Thanks! My only advice as i see the reviews in so many when in search of someone to repair drywall is to plan ahead if you can, then you won't feel rushed and impatient as this industry can sometimes be busy. read more

As a do it yourself person on most projects I usually don't hire out home improvement projects. But we moved into a home that was 20 yrs old and the original wall texture was not appealing. We wanted a smooth finish for the walls and ceiling . My wife and I Interview three different companies and selected Dean from Finish Rite. He wasn't the least expensive. But we couldn't be happier. As a business owner I like to see how other contractors provide their service and work. Dean impressed me with how clean he worked. A big clue is how clean a guy keeps his truck. It usually gives an indication in the pride he will take on the job. When we had the walls painted the painter said it was some of he best Level 5 smooth wall that he had seen. I highly recommend Dean and Finsh Rite. He made a very difficult job run smoothly and his service was great. I am so glad I trusted this project to Dean and did not do it myself. read more

I asked Dean out to give me a quote on a whole-house re texture to imperfect smooth on a new house I purchased. It was more than I had to spend, so Dean came back with an idea to match half of my house to the existing texture on the other half. Saved me a ton of money so I went for it. I had a handful of trades working along side Dean in the house, so his schedule was critical to a successful project. He kept his schedule perfectly and did a great job. He came back after the job was done and I pointed out an area that wasn't perfect, but I was cool with living with it. He was not ok with it however, so he came back, fixed it, then painted over the repair area. I'm in the trades and I inspect a lot of construction. When I met Dean, I knew I was dealing with a tradesman, so I didn't bother getting other quotes. I negotiated with Dean, and I was very happy that I did. read more

Dean is a very professional tradesman. First off, his communication was prompt and thorough. Out of five drywall companies I called for quotes, Dean was one of two who returned my call (and within a few hours). He bid the job to retexture all ceilings in a 1800sq.ft house, and came in around the mid-range for quotes. Showed up when he said he would. CLEAN. Organized. Attention to detail. Finished the job on time and even worked with my crazy time-line so I could come in behind him and paint as soon as the texture was dry enough. He took time to explain to me how the process would go and gave me a few pointers for basic drywall repair I could do myself in the future. Thanks Dean! Great job. read more

He was a no show no call. Wouldn't have given even one star but it was required in order to submit the review.

Dean was awesome! He was able to move around his schedule to meet our time crunch, and did such a wonderful job texturing our ceiling. He showed up on time and was excellent responding to all of our questions. If you need any type of drywall or texture completed, give him a call. read more

Finish-Rite came to service my drywall's in March of 2019. I was very confident that Dean would do an excellent job since he provided a 1-year warranty to cover his work. In the contract it states that he would be inspecting for loose walls that requires nailing before applying on joint compound. It seems that Dean rushed this project. Since 8/21 I have been trying to be in communication with the company regarding defective taping and reoccurring cracks. I have sent him photos as proof and invited Dean to return to inspect his repairs. Dean responded with a short text on 8/27 stating he has moved to another state. It's very unfortunate that he will not honor his warranty, nor will he provide a solution to the problem. I have spent a lot of money to paint the house. Now I will have to hire another drywall contractor to redo the job Finish-Rite left. read more

We had a great experience with Finish-Rite Drywall Services. Dean was very professional, considerate, and flexible, besides being a very skilled drywall finisher. And he did some minor touch ups, apart from our main project, at no additional cost. Communication and completion were on time. Price was reasonable. Phone (916) 899-1545. read more

Dean Drumheller is a perfectionist, that goes a long way when doing drywall. His work was completed in a timely fashion and the results were beautiful. He showed respect for my home, eliminating the dreaded dust that a drywall repair can generate. His communication was on point throughout the entire process. I'd definitely recommend him to family and friends. read more

Dean was amazing to work with. I highly recommend him and would hire him again for all my drywall needs. I reached out to Dean while he was on vacation. He immediately responded when he returned, scheduled time to inspect the issue, quickly provided a fair estimate and completed the job within two days. Additionally, Dean was so flexible with a last minute change (we found a similar issue in another room). He fixed the additional issue and revised the estimate immediately. The finished product is amazing! read more

Dean did an excellent job! I highly recommend FinishRite Drywall Repair. My pipes to a tub in the upstairs bathroom was leaking which caused water damage to the ceiling below. Dean was able to replace the drywall and match the texture 100%! I'm so amazed because you can't even tell that repairs were done. Thank you so much Dean! Additionally, he is very professional. Keeps you informed and lets you know exactly what to expect. His price is fair. I truly appreciate how responsive he is as well. read more

I got to say Dean is the real deal! When I first called, he called back the same day and gave me a quote. He also sent proof of his bonding insurance so I can know if anything goes wrong, I'm covered. I thought that was really cool and put me at ease to try his service and I'm so glad I did. I had several rooms where the drywall tape was separating from the wall. I also had a lot of nail pokes sticking out through the drywall. He actually fixed imperfections he saw as he was going out of the kindness of his heart for no extra charge as long as it was a minor issue. When you hire Dean for a job you are getting a top-notch worker and a great person. He's very professional and is a perfectionist. He stands by his work. I'm very wary of contractor's because most tend to do a bad job or the look like they just got out of jail, or both. This gentleman was quite the opposite! Thanks again Dean for the great service! read more

They were prompt, courteous, and did a fantastic job. They also gave a free quote for the work tk be completed.

Dean did a great job in everyway! He was always in communication, wore his mask all the time, very professional, on time, neat & good price. Dean was everything the reviews said he was. I had water damage from A/C leak on ceilings in my foyer & adjoining bathroom....a lot of nail pops thru out the house. 2 day process and I agreed to do some of the paint touch ups because I have custom paint in both semi gloss & flat areas. If need be, I will definitely call on Finish-Rite Dean again!! read more

We recently hired Dean to texture our remodeled kitchen to match the rest of the 1948 home. This was necessary because we demolished the wall between the kitchen and dining room. Dean is fantastic! He is responsive, thorough and just a nice guy. He came in and saved the day for me - doing some last minute work as well as fixing another contractor's work so that I could complete the rest of my projects. I found Dean based on two 5 star reviews on yelp. He came by and assessed the job and I liked his estimate. He started the next morning on time and was finished with the prep work in 30 minutes or so. I added a job for him to remove a decorative wall and again, his estimate was what I would have expected. To simply speed up the job due to a time constraint I had, I removed the wall myself and had him repair where the wall had contacted another wall and the ceiling. I told him to keep his estimate the same; however, he reduced the price by 1/3. He was very courteous, worked quickly and kept the area clean while he worked and when he finished and left.I would definitely hire him again for my drywall needs. read more

Professional from beginning to end. Dean was responsive and came out to give a quote shortly after we contacted him. We had a small job repairing holes on our ceilings left by an electrician. The price was really reasonable so I didn't get another quote. What I really liked is that he didn't act as if the work was too small a project to bid on. He taped everywhere needed and cleaned up nicely. Will recommend his work. read more

Dean did a great job applying imperfect smooth texture on our living room walls and ceiling. He also did a great job texturing a wall in our sunroom to look like the texture on the rest of the walls. read more

I was in such a horrible dilemna! An AC leak left a hole in my 18ft vaulted ceiling, and I had to coordinate a quick repair while on vacation. Several companies said the project was too small for them, and several said the ceiling too high. Others said they would be able to do it until several weeks out. Enter Finish-Rite drywall and Dean. He was super responsive and accommodating with scheduling very quickly, within a week. He came in and did a very clean and neat job, limiting any dust and debris which was especially helpful given some respiratory issues some family members have. He was polite, hard working, honest and did his job with great care. Thank you Dean! read more

I reviewed many of the reviews on the web to find someone that actually could repair my drywall so that it matched. We had the original drywall repaired twice by the original contractor and they did the most sloppy job of matching the texture I have ever seen. It took a while to get Dean to call me back as he was on vacation, and when we did meet up he was very accommodating to meet with me. I was impressed how knowledgeable he is about applying texture. He was very helpful in explaining everything he would be doing. We agreed upon the contract and I was scheduled by the next week for the job. My main concern was how good of a job he would do in matching the existing ceilings that had already been messed up twice by the original contractor. That was needless worry as Dean is a real professional in doing his job. As soon as the job was completed and everything picked up I could tell there would not be any problem with the work he had done. A beautiful job and I admit that you can not see where the repair work was done as the texture matches beautifully. Four ceiling areas, four stress cracks and one wall location were repaired. A perfect job and we are so pleased with his work. If you want someone to match your existing texture I highly recommend Dean. Very reasonable pricing and the best you can find to do you drywall work. Call Dean, he will not let you down. read more

Dean is fantastic! When I called for an estimate he returned the call within a couple hrs. We scheduled a time to see my ceiling damage 330pm two business days later. He showed up at 328pm, looked at the work, gave us a fair estimate and we scheduled the work to be done the following Monday at 830am. Dean showed up at exactly 830am! He's a very professional drywall contractor, who happened to learn the trade from his Dad when he was a kid. He places plastic all around to capture all of the overspray & left our house spotless. We can't tell there was even a 2ft x 2ft hole in our ceiling! He's one of the best contractors we have ever worked with! I wish he did electrical, plumbing, ect.! read more
