Had a tech come out for an estimate which cost $101 with tax that I had to pay if I did not use them. Which I paid. All I had was a worn out belt and asked how much to replace. The answer was I don't think we can get those anymore and said he recommend complete over hauls or replacements from $2600 to $4800. Never came back with a cost for just the belt as he said he would. So I called Overhead Door who came out for no fee and had the belt on their truck and fixed the door perfectly for $300. I suggest never using these guys and kudos for the Overhead door Company!! read more

I'm giving them 2 stars because the service guy was very nice. However, I feel like he was upselling me on things I didn't actually need to fix. I had one bad wheel, and he ended up charging me $300 for a $10 part and less than an hour of labor. But, because they charge you $95 just to come out, you feel stuck. I would never call them again for service. read more

Like many people searching Yelp for garage door service, I woke up to a broken spring on my two car garage when I was getting ready to leave for work. Without the spring to counter balance the weight of the door, it is exceptionally heavy and the motor won't open the door. In fact, it was extremely hard to even open manually so I could leave! Precision had decent reviews, so I gave them a shot. I was shocked to call them on a Friday morning and be offered an appointment time slot within two hours! They assured me the tech could come with all the parts for immediate repair, though the person on the phone would not give any ballpark for prices. The tech who arrived wasn't especially friendly, but he was professional. He of course assessed the broken spring but also pointed out other things I had not noticed like a damaged cable and worn out pulleys which he recommended replacing. He offered two different quotes on his iPad, with Option A being only a spring replacement, with no warranty, for about $800 after tax, or Option B being an "overhaul" replacing springs, pulleys, cables, and the roller wheels for $1200, which included a lifetime warranty. Honestly I felt that these prices seemed very high but I have no objective reference point and wanted my door fixed. The actual work was very fast, clean, and working well a week later. If you have time, seek a few quotes, but if you need the work done quickly and professionally, I would say that precision met that definition. read more

I have backed out of that damn garage for over 17 years and this is the only time I have done anything this stupid. I called and they showed up that day. Gave me the run down of options and colors. I never knew there were so many freaking options for garage doors. Window options, panel options, colors, and the possibilities just go on, as well as the price. I opted for middle of the road door. It took about six weeks to get the door. Supply chain issues impacting everyone these days. They do email you the status periodically, which is cool. They do require you to put down some money to get started. About 40% if I remember correctly. When the door came in, Precision called and scheduled an appointment to install. The technician came out and installed the doors in a few hours. Everything worked great when he left. I paid the tech using his iPad. Precision made the experience seamless and easy. About a week ago, Hubs told me not to use my garage door opener because the chain had come off. What now? Yep, chain was crazy off. We always call Precision Garage Door. They offer 24/7 service at no extra charge. Of course our situation wasn't dire so we got in the normal schedule. I left my car outside because I didn't want to be trapped and miss out on my lunch plans the next day. When I called for service, she worked us in the very next day. Dylan came out, assessed the situation and explained all the options to Hubs. Remember, I had Farmers Market and lunch plans with my Bestie. So I wasn't there and of course I had 20 questions. Dylan called us back and explained everything to me. We made our decision and he came out the next day! Dylan's helper didn't show up but instead of rescheduling, Dylan did everything himself. Our ceiling in the garage is about 14' high, so it wasn't easy. Now my door opener is so quiet, even our dog Zoe doesn't hear it. Dylan was so nice and such a hard worker. Contacted on Yelp and got a quote. Called and told them I had a coupon which they honored. Got appointment the same day. Tech shoved up on time and performed an inspection on the door. Found a small crack in the top door panel and several other items that will possibly need to be addressed at some point. Gave me several different quotes, the good, better, best deal. Got basic maintenance and two other items repaired. It runs smooth and the major items addressed. Not ready for a new door yet. A new single garage door at Lowe's is $395. Where do these people come up with their pricing schedule? Just to drill it home how ridiculous they are, the charge to come out and give an estimate was $92. It's no wonder they had an appointment available immediately. We had a great experience with Precision Door. Beginning with the initial diagnosis of our problem to the final repair, PD staff were professional and friendly. They scheduled our installation and followed up with reminders. When we had to reschedule, they were courteous and accommodating. The technicians were on time, friendly and got the job done ahead of the estimated time. Now, nothing is perfect and life still happens. Sometimes the best way to judge the character of a company is when things don't go as planned! The tech realized he was missing a lightbulb and a new remote entry touchpad.
