John is an excellent hair stylist he is able to smooth my curly hair simply by blow dying it without using a flatiron.

Awful!! They don't know how to cut hair but they don't even know how to speak to a customer, not even basic stuff like hello and make eye contact. John took few minutes to cut my hair while checking his watch and talking to another guy in Turkish, he finished my hair asap and went in front of the store to stand there to continue his conversation to the same guy. Zero regard on the customer or the store. The other guy who took over drying my hair was kind of polite but doesn't have any skill, there was smoke coming out of my hair while drying it. I didn't get the haircut I asked for, just a quick trim. John said no because I don't have the same face as in picture.. Eric's been doing my hair since I was in my teens and I haven't been able to find better (and yes I've been to some of the best salons in NY and LA). He's always my go to for blow-outs. And when he moved to this salon, of course I followed. Last time I came to NY for a gala and desperately needed a blow out and texted Eric, he was traveling out of country yet he still responded to my txts and recommended John instead. John was great as well!!! You have to get a blow out in this place if you live in / visit NY - it's a hidden gem. I also have to add that Eric did everyone's hair for my sister's wedding - not only did it look incredible, it lasted the entire night (till 4am!). read more

So disappointed! I asked the master to cut bangs and showed him a picture of what I wanted. Instead, he did quiet the opposite. He didn't understand anything I told him. Even though I asked to make it longer from two sides, he didn't, and he made my bangs asymmetric and now it looks weird. The worst master I ever had. Excuse me, guys, but before cutting someone's hair, you have to listen carefully and do what customers want, not what you want. I will never come to this place again. This place is about 5 months "old". It's beautiful. Very clean and organized, it's right next to the train station which is very convenient. The woman who did my nails, Mya, texted me, telling me that she found a better place and I do agree. It's large, lots of room, excellent service. It's very well made and clean. In the back, they also offer tailoring and altering services. Definitely going back for my nails, but also a hair cut. read more

Totally unprofessional. I wish I never even stepped in. I've never cried after my hair was done before, and believe me so called "professionals" screwed me before. But this time.. it's been 2 days and can't even look in the mirror. I came in prepared.. with pictures and explained in detail what I want, I walked out with totally different color and paid for this $250 plus tips. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. They will screw you up. STAY AWAY! Hasan doesn't know what he's doing. They compliment women and offer drinks to distract from the disaster they are going to create on their heads. read more

I walked into the tiny hair salon after seeing WEFTS of extensions that caught my eye, I asked them if they did full head SEW INS. I am Caucasian with long and thick hair. I prefer full head sew ins, so that I can change my hair color and other methods such as keratin takes too much time and doesn't blend well due to the thickness of my hair. After talking to the lady about the WEFTS they had I asked if I came with my own hair how much would they charge me for a whole head sew in. She told me a reasonable amount and I asked her 3 times to confirm that we were talking about the same method, I even said youll braid my whole head and sew it in right ? She said yes. I made an apt. The day I made my apt she called me like 10 time I told her before the apt I have a dentist apt and she still called me numerious time to confirm. I took a pricy cab just to get there Straight from the dentist because she made me feel so rushed. I came with the hair and they looked at me like I was stupid and she laughed in my face and told me to go to ghetto to get this done. I was so insulted. Very upset I tried to explain what happened and they all snubbed me and kept insulting me, and telling me that I was wrong. How in the hell am I wrong. One of the other guys doing hair turned around and yelled at me saying they're a others customers in here (there were only 2 older Russian ladies in here) and to shut up cause nobody cares in a rage I said you should at least offer me a free blow out for the way you have been treating me, in response the owner said I'll call the cops on you, outraged I went outside. Finally one of the male workers, I wish I had gotten his name because I always give credit where it's due, spoke to me in a very calm and professional and extremely understanding manner. He even gave me 20 bucks to cover half of my cab to come there and apologized and offered to make some phone calls to find me a nice salon, I said it was okay I'll wait until tomorrow for my regular hair stylist and he apologized again. I wish I knew his name because he was not only very polite and pleasant, he was understanding and very fair and was literally the only decent human being in the tiny hole in the wall shop. The phone receptionist knows absolutely nothing the hair field and is a racist ignorant mess with a tacky unflattering short haircut and it actually disgusted me how not only uneducated she was, how rude and insulting she was she laughed and said I belonged in the ghetto. She really shouldn't have been talking as I am very well put together and she was wearing an embarrassingly tacky 10 dollar outfit. THERE ARE MANY SALONS ON SHEEPSHEAD BAY ROAD, do not go to this one. PS I saw someone get their hair colored and styled there and even that customer was disgustedsalon with what they did to her hairlin The owner John was upset with how his staff treated me and took action to actually remove the horrid reception girl and the rude hair dresser, he is the man that compensated me. He truly does care about his customers, and I did see that he does amazing hair blow out and even offered me a free blow out which shows his respect and care for his customers and that is a good reflection on how he runs his salon. Hasan is a very good hair cutter, I loved my haircut which was $45. When I left I realized he blocked me on Instagram because I didn't tip him for his service. WORST SALON EVER: I found Hasan on instagram and went to him to dye my hair for the first time ever with hopes and dreams. He absolutely ruined my hair! I wanted a blonde balayage and he made my hair extremely yellow with highlights. When he was doing my hair, he was in a rush constantly talking to people on the phone, going outside the salon etc. I messaged him the next day to fix it and he said he will. When i went into the salon, he was extremely rude to me, screaming and yelling saying how he wont fix it, i have to pay $200 more in order to bleach. We finally settled that he will fix my hair 2 weeks later, he then went on to block me on instagram and my number. Later on he called me saying he will venmo me the refund but he didnt. His staff is equally disrespectful, and a complete waste of $250. If anyone loves their hair and earns their money working hard, I advise you to PLEASE not waste your money in this place. read more
