the rental company that I rent from hired this company to come and check out my garbage disposal. When the receptionist Brianna called to make an appointment as to when would be best for a plumber to can come out she pretty much tells me the only time they have is on Tuesday from 12-4. I explained that I am only Available from 12-1 every day or anytime after 430 mon, wed, and fri. She said nope that won't work you can leave use a key if you want. I said no I don't let anyone in my home when I'm not there. She was like well you can call back when you want to schedule. Why would I want to schedule anything after your rude attitude? I live alone and there is to many ring videos of maintenance people doing creepy things in peoples houses while they're not there and I don't feel comfortable. She was very unprofessional and rude. She should probably not be doing receptionist work if she does not know how to talk with customers. About three days go by and I get another call from Brianna she left a voicemail asking if I was able to find someone to stay in the home while they come out to check it out. When I called back another lady answer who did not identify herself and was even ruder and unprofessional then Brianna. When I explained the situation she was like "that's not what I asked". I will definitely be having the property rental company find a new plumber because I do not want to use this company after the way the receptionist behave. Note to the owner you should really hire people who like what they do and want to help your customers because from all the other reviews it seem that they are just running your customers away. read more

Great team. Fabulous work! We had the water heater leak. They were able to get it replaced the same day at a reasonable price. Then they continued with us to repair the water damage & install new flooring in the area affected. The pricing and work went so well, we had them come to help us finish a remodel on our master bath. Horrible drivers, very rude and reckless, almost hit my car, give me a finger, and followed me with anger as my car was broken down and I had my emergency lights on and was driving slowly. We gave them a 3 because we are very surprised at how unprofessional Johnnys Plumbing seems to be. Johny's Plumbing recently worked in our house. The plumber fixed the problem in one afternoon, but we were really surprised at how unprofessional the office manager acted. She sounded annoyed that she had to call to make sure we were home before the plumber arrived! Additionally, they were working nearby one morning and we were woken up to hear them cursing and yelling near their van which was parked within earshot. Then they drove away in a hurry and scraped their bumper on the street. Not very professional while on a job. Next time we need plumbing done, we will most likely call another company who values our business more. We don't need to spend our money at a place where this kind of unprofessionalism is accepted. read more

Johnny's Plumbing did a great job. I called them at 6:30am with an overflowing toilet issue and John offered me the 8am appointment. unfortunately I was taking my child to school and wouldn't be home so he offered me the 10am appointment which I gladly took. The tech (Junior) called me on his way and was very professional. I explained to him my problem and he stated that my flush out more than likely had to be snaked. He fixed the issue within 30 minutes and even went to go check my other flush out lines to make sure water was running correctly through the entire house. I hope I don't have any other plumbing issues but if I do hands down Johnny's is the ONLY one you need to call. read more

We've had Johnny's out for several different issues now. The first was after our old plumber couldn't fix something. He made some expensive recommendations. We called Johnny's out on a Saturday for a second opinion. They had the problem diagnosed (differently), fixed, and at a much lower cost than we were originally quoted. There was No Call, Now Show, I called your office and the same female I had talked to earlier in the week answered and claimed she had no information regarding my appointment. You asked for more information, and you got it. This scenario may not be as helpful, or favorable to you as you may have liked, but is accurate and should be enough for a problem solver to deduce your office could perform better! I have/would like to think Johnny's plumbing can and does show up on schedule quite possibly a majority of the time and they may do good work if they do show up, but I do not know first hand. The two stars are for the helpful office staff. The gal in the office is very nice, professional, and she was good at calls to and from. Really she was stuck in the middle but did all they would allow to help out. That's about all I got out of this experience. They did not do the job they quoted, than had to battle with them for two weeks to either fix or refund. It's like talking to a brick wall. The owner, Johnny himself, clearly doesn't care about his customers or retaining them for future jobs. Here is my two cents and why you should start your search for plumbing services elsewhere. First red flag was when I called for an estimate on a water softener install was told that they don't schedule estimates that they would call me same day or the day before. Aren't I the customer? Why do I have to work around your schedule? Second red flag was they called to see if I was available the following morning but I wasn't and would need something next week. They said ok and called back a couple of days later asking if I was still interested in an estimate. I said yes and what do you know suddenly they could schedule something. Weird right? So I schedule for Friday morning between 8am-10am. It was what they had available so I took it and rearranged my schedule. Day of estimate comes and I wait until about 10am and no one shows or calls. So I call Johnny's plumbing and they put me on hold numerous times, clearly unorganized and lost about the days workload. A different woman gets on the phone and explains that the owner took the estimate sheet and went to Oakland for a remodel job. Hey guess what? I don't live in Oakland and from the sounds of it nobody is coming out to provide me an estimate. What a waste of a my time to which there was no apology or effort to make it right for me. Tried to give you my business Johnny but apparently you had more important jobs to work. I will go with a competitor of yours and share my experience with anyone I can. read more

Called them Saturday mourning our hot water was out again this is the second time in a little over a year the unit is 5 years old now they never called back and today is Monday. I did call Herks Plumbing they came out that afternooon Saturday the Tech Brian is awesome found the problem it had the wrong thermal coupler and Bracket assembly it was mickey moused so it was loose and went out again needless to say about a hour and the right part and was working again. I had a clogged drain in my bathroom they came out used a snake got it stuck in my septic tank and couldn't get it out then wanted to charge me another thousand to go back in and cut into the pipe through the floor to retrieve it and find their snake. Thankfully I called out a different plumber who not only retrieved their snake but fixed the problem for 1/4 of what they wanted. read more

Johnny built our house 9 years ago. Our roof leaked within 3 years. We had that fixed and then we had a major leak last year with ceiling damage. They did send someone to fix the outside. We had to pay for ceiling damages. The floor of our shower cracked and when we had that taken out we found a mound of cement that had not been leveled off, and this is what caused the crack. We are selling our house and the buyer's inspectors have found that the septic system was not installed correctly, the roof dormers were not installed correctly, and the roof looks to be about 18 years old with many mistakes made. The total cost of these errors is costing us over seven thousand dollars and Johnny is unwilling to fix any of the problems. read more

Ben attempted to repair our Kitchen faucet 2 times in 1week. He appeared clueless as to what to do so he recommended that the faucet needed replacing. On the third attempt after 4weeks with no water volume, hot or cold, a second plumber showed up. As I overheard him talk to Ben about what he had found, Ben said there was nothing wrong and. "those people are complainers" etc what a liar and he didn't know I was listening! The new tech hung up quickly and said "that's the way Ben is". I was furious. How unprofessional!! Tech just left and shut the faucet off. No sink use until approval to replace faucet. Been a month so far. read more

So much for trying to support a small town local business. I don't even know where to begin other than the fact that their receptionist Elisa (sp?) is the rudest woman I've ever dealt with as a customer. After being given an 8am-12pm appointment window we were told that someone should be over to replace our faucet around 10am, but then got pushed out further due to an earlier job that was taking longer. Fine, but if that's the case and we're moving our schedule around and trying to get an idea of when we can expect the plumber, then don't get upset if we're "calling every 30 minutes" as she so rudely accused us. Between the rude receptionist, waiting around until 3:30 and still no plumber, and the owner's lack of motivation to do anything to help returning customers, we decided to cancel the appointment and find another plumber. Every time we spoke with this woman it was nothing but attitude and total lack of respect for the customer. I asked what ever happened to "the customer is always right" and she replied that she had been "dealing with" my husband and "his tone" all day (I'm the angry wife writing this from his account). Can't believe the nerve!! She wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise as she was yelling over me. I ended up yelling into the phone, "ELISA!! This is why we're taking our business elsewhere!" and I hung up. Yes, she was still yelling on the other end. Crazy. If I owned this business she would've be gone a long time ago. read more

I'm renting a home under Matel Management :-( and there was a water leek in one of my bathrooms. They sent Johnny plumbing. So far so good. They came out took a look, the guy was cool told me that he had to talk to John (the owner) and send the estimate to matel. Ok. While waiting DAYS with no call,I called and some woman I spoke to was beyond rude and argued with me about calling her the day before. Hilarious right. Then John the owner came out to measure and explained everything (thinking to myself, now I get to speak with someone that has a brain) while waiting for an idea of when the remodels for my bathrooms would begin, I called and the same RUDE woman answered and said they were waiting for Matel well I wasn't going to get far with Matel since they have their heads up their a**. So I was waiting, trying to be patient advising my employer that no one has called me yet to start the remodel. Which I need to give him a heads up, whether I'm working certain days or not. So finally I get a call same non enthusiast rude woman called and scheduled the remodel. Well this is the fun part first day of my remodel by the looks of it I could have done alot more in 8hrs. 2nd day "oh u can only take a bath but try not to get the walls wet....haha. 3rd day I get home early tile guys here, don't get me wrong beautiful tile, I look at both bathrooms and by the looks of it, i think to myself, how the hell am I going to take a bath. So I ask the tile guy "um can I take a bath" and this is his response "uh no they didn't notify u". I couldn't help it , I walked out called the office of Johnny plumbing and oh joy rude woman again. I ask calmly can I speak to the owner please and she states "he isn't in, " can she help me. LOL. I explained to her what i was told by the tile guy and her answer was "Ok"..... i say "mmmmm that's it." Her response, "Well what do u want me to do have them take the tile off just so u can shower." I smiled and said to myself that this is bull**** and she had the nerve to yell at me and say she doesn't have to.deal with me and hung up. Wow. I called back and she answered yelling "i don't have to listen to u I'm hanging up I'm hanging up." So I said " I'm not yelling so u shouldn't be yelling at me. " "All I want to do is speak to the owner. " her response" he isn't here" and hung up. She tried calling me back so I gave her a small taste and said I didn't want to hear her and hung up in her. Now........finally I get a call from John nice guys explained everything. But sorry John I would not refer to your place if u were the only plumbing left in the world. Phone call saying $1200 and it was my fault I misunderstood "verbal" bid. They even told me the estimator messed up. Hmm. Verbal contract in CA?? This office has some of the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. The technician came out and charged $75 to let me know that he cannot fix my water heater without ordering a part. When I tried to get a price quote he had no idea how much it would be, so I called the office and asked and they also had no idea. The woman in the office said she would call back the next morning with a quote and never did. Then two days later called and said she ordered the part without my consent and that it would be shipped to my home and I would be charged for it. She was extremely rude and hostile when I told her that I never ordered a part and she continued to say that she assumed I would want so I need to pay for it. Avoid these guys at all costs. They didn't install my plumbing right and there are two leaks after a week, and the owner won't come out and fix any of it. Also, they didn't hang the pipes up right under the house and one of the pipes is drooping, pulling the fixture attachment into the wall. What an absolute rip-off. Had a thermocouple go out on a Rheem water heater still under warranty. I spoke with Melinda after I talked to Rheem's warranty department and she said to call back when the part arrived and she'd be able to take care of me. When the part did arrive I was a bit worried but Melinda held true to her word and was able to get my appointment squeezed in SAME DAY. They called when the plumber was on the way so that I could be sure to be home. Then they called again when the work was complete to ensure that everything went well. And they were done in under an hour so their rates are VERY reasonable!!! I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with Johnny's Plumbing. read more

I was given wrong information by the plumber. Garbage was backing up into the second sink and there was a leak in the pipes. The plumber came and said the garbage disposal needed to be replaced. He replaced it and fixed the leak. Two days later the garbage was again backing up into the second sink. I called the office and was told the plumber would be coming out but if it was a different problem I would be charged a service charge. He came out and fixed the problem. He told us we were using the garbage disposal wrong(?). We needed to flush the sink for five minutes with hot water and that he had to charge the service call. I protested. He said it was a different problem. I wrote the review feeling I was being overcharged for his error. I shoud have contacted the office before I wrote the review. When the office manager(?) read the yelp review she called me immediately. I told her what happened. She is sending a check for the second service charge and will talk to the plumber. From now on I will call the office to make sure the employee is really representing their policy. read more

Unfortunately my mother who is 87 just had a mild stoke and is doing well but this has afford me the opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of her home since she lives independently. She lives in the Ripon area. One of her toilets was not working and the water was turned off. When I asked she said the water continues to run. I said why don't we fix it. She replied that she had Johnny's come about a year ago to fix the toilet. The charge was $160 and the toilet has never been fixed and it still runs. She said that the entire mechanism was replaced. I asked if she called to ask them to come back and she said no, it wasn't worth it. I grant you my mother gets a low rating for her assertiveness but Johnny's gets a very low rating for taking advantage of a senior citizen. My husband has now fixed the toilet, some parts had to be replaced as they did not fit, the cost was $10. Please be careful when considering a business that takes advantage of the elderly. read more
