After waiting all summer to get my hands on a bike, JS had the one i wanted in stock! My friend referred me here as he had an excellent experience. They called me a day after I called them to check stock and said they just had received one! I appreciate that! Pick up experience was less than thrilling and my overall experience was alright. I understand bikes are sold out and one may be tired saying "sold out", but don't show your annoyance. Update: having my bike for a week i needed some adjustments. I took it in and it was quick, but quality of service is subpar. Corrected one issue with shifting and now other gears are shifting rough. I brought it back and now some gears don't shift at all or it's a long delay before it decides to shift so back for a third time I'll go. Third time's the charm at the Clark St A-ville location! Lakeview seems more sales and the other location is more service focused from my experience.

Johnny loving his freshly tuneup bike.

Thank you for doing an wonderful job with the tuneup on my bike and the tuneup of my brother's bike too. Look at the smile on Johnny's face! You guys are amazing!

This is the final completed masterpiece by Manny and Brent at Johnny Sprockets. They KILLED IT!!

I really…read moreenjoyed going to the farm in Lincoln park petting zoo, and we got to feed the chickens and pet the goats! You can tell they put a lot of work to make this camp really fun for us! We went to the Chicago Field Museum and spent hours on end splashing in the waves at Ohio Street Beach each day. Our counselors took us on a fun side quest to observe Chicago's sky line from the south side of Chicago's perspective. Our counselors, Matt and Eden were exceptional!! Matt knew a ton about Chicago's history and architecture. He was really engaging and would play football with us. Eden is a natural leader and ensured that kids were safe while having a good time. Overall I had an excellent time at Bobby's Bike Hike.

Chicago Favorites Food & Walking Tour…read more Bottom Line Up Front: Tour: 5 Stars Food: 3.5 Stars Value: 3.5 Stars First of all, the tour was amazing thanks to our tour guide, Braeden. He was super passionate about the city and the food and was a wealth of knowledge on both topics. He also was very charismatic and when he shared stories of Chicago and the food, time flew by. Reflecting on the tour afterwards, my girlfriend and I remembered so many different things we learned because he was so good at keeping things interesting. In terms of the food, we hit the core Chicago staples of deep-dish pizza, roast beef sandwiches, and Chicago-style hotdogs. This was supplemented by a very small bag of popcorn and a small fudge bar. Now I've been on 20+ food tours and for a 3.5 hour tour costing $85, I'm used to 5-6 full food stops with 1-2 small bites compared to the 3 full food stops and 2 small bites, so that fell short. The tour also had an excessively large group with 14 people while many food tours are capped at 10 guests. This led to a few stops selected solely to accomodate a large group that had no significance to being authentically Chicago or foodie-driven like eating the Chicago-style hotdog at the touristy Millenium Hall (3.5 stars on Yelp). If you want to balance both the food and the tour of the city, then I'd recommend this tour for you. However, if you're only in it for the food, there might be better options out there.

The best local business I've used in at least a decade…read more I got a great hybrid bike at a great price, that I'm still loving a year-plus later. And everything like tune-ups, oiling, and flat repairs are free. (Ron fixed the flat by replacing the tube.) After a year, one of my gears started skipping a gear, which I pointed out when he replaced the inner tube, and Ron pointed out where the wiring had frayed some--probably whacked against something, he said--and he immediately stripped it all out, replaced it and fine-tuned it expertly. No charge. Had me test ride it around the block, to be sure. The 1st thing that impressed me, though, was when I came in looking in August, there were a ton of bikes, but I'm 6'1" and Ron said none of them were big enough for me, but he would get more in 3 days, so call back then. I really respect someone who WON'T sell me something, because it's not right. They're very close so I stopped by a few times, we talked more, and he had a big enough road bike, but he said what I'd been describing was a hybrid, and if that's what I wanted, I should wait. He went over the pros/cons of each, and I said definitely a hybrid. He said he got far fewer, so I checked in every week or two, and in November, 3 months from the start, he had a hybrid big enough. It was perfect, and I bought it. I wanted a more comfortable seat, so he had me pick the one I wanted from all the bikes and he swapped it in. I bet 99% of customers would have gone somewhere else long before, so he'd given up most of his chance at a sale, and could have easily sold me on a shorter bike being ok, but wouldn't do it. Ron is super-nice and great to talk to, and his wife Sonja is too, so it's always a pleasure. Love this place.
