We got the history, and updates in recent development downtown, and in some cool neighborhoods. Her van is super comfortable & clean, with a giant moonroof for viewing the landmarks & details she points out. We were impressed to see the train station renovation! We stopped for coffee, stepped into some of my favorite buildings to see the gorgeous lobbies, as well as Third Man Records and Shinola! Pat's knowledge of and love for Detroit is evident, & helped me share my beloved hometown with my husband. The tour was the highlight of our trip and worth every penny. Thanks Pat!

When we arrived, the woman selling the tickets was genuinely friendly and interested in our dog. I love that this is a dog-friendly activity and that always gets extra bonus points with me. She asked our dog's name and answered all our questions and when we saw her hours later walking around the town she called out to our dog by name and said hello. It was very sweet and just one example of the warm welcoming spirit of this city. The cruise itself was very calm and slow. Just a smooth ride down the Cass River and back. There's lots of time to take in the scenery and you learn a lot. The gentleman narrating our tour was knowledgeable and had a great voice on the microphone. I actually thought it was a recording for the first few minutes, but he introduced himself and explained that his son was the boat captain. He shared the history of Frankenmuth and the surrounding area and when he tells you the popcorn they sell on board is the best you'll ever have, he's not lying. The popcorn was the surprise star of this cruise! For only $2 you get this bag of fresh salty delicious popcorn and they actually encourage you to toss some to the ducks on the river. It was really fun watching them Rush up to the boat and watching the children laughing and enjoying themselves. I love popcorn though so unfortunately the ducks had to share with me because it was definitely the best $2 popcorn I've ever had! This is a must if you're in Frankenmuth and I'm so glad we got to experience it. We had such a nice time that we bought some souvenirs on our way off the boat, including a little Captain's hat for my husband to match the one we had for our pup already. It really was a lovely time.

They utilized the hospital in most of the attraction, which made the whole experience even more creepy! I went for a private event, but it opened this weekend. I recommend everyone to go check out this historical site. So much has happened here in the past, you can feel the grounds energy as you pull into the parking lot. Looking up at those old windows, you can just feel someone or something peering from one! Go check out Eloise Asylum! The best haunted attraction in the state of Michigan!

It's AMAZING to see the architectural details and the craftsmanship mixing old with the new. Our tour guide was a preservationist and gave us a lot of details on the buildings history. Hard to believe it sat abandoned for 30 years. There's a coffee shop, gift shop with Michigan Central items and another store with unique gift's. Highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic ~2 hour cruise along St. Claire river and onto Lake Huron! They played the starts on the radio (at times it was difficult to hear due to poor reception). So fun to watch and at one point we were so close the coast guard came by and told us to "MOVE BACk!" I came here on a field trip with the littles. This was a place we had always intended on visiting,…read moreand well, I am finally here. It is like a small Greenfield Village, but smaller and way less expensive, except for the train, which is a bit pricey, but they ride is quite long. Not too many places for kids to eat during the field trip, so that was a downfall. I would have liked to have looked around the ice cream and treat area, sounded yummy. Most of the kids liked the train ride, but it was a bit long for the littles, they got bored. I enjoyed going around the area, it was fun for me. The kids then got to see a comedy magic show. They absolutely loved it, I have never heard small children laugh out loud so much, so please let the gentleman in the picture who performed know he now has many new fans. We were able to walk around about two small buildings before we had to leave, so I did not get to see much more. My child enjoyed our time there and would like to visit again. For me, it was fun, but I don't know if I need to come back except if my other child wants to check it out.
