When we arrived, the woman selling the tickets was genuinely friendly and interested in our dog. I love that this is a dog-friendly activity and that always gets extra bonus points with me. She asked our dog's name and answered all our questions and when we saw her hours later walking around the town she called out to our dog by name and said hello. It was very sweet and just one example of the warm welcoming spirit of this city. The cruise itself was very calm and slow. Just a smooth ride down the Cass River and back. There's lots of time to take in the scenery and you learn a lot. The gentleman narrating our tour was knowledgeable and had a great voice on the microphone. I actually thought it was a recording for the first few minutes, but he introduced himself and explained that his son was the boat captain. He shared the history of Frankenmuth and the surrounding area and when he tells you the popcorn they sell on board is the best you'll ever have, he's not lying. The popcorn was the surprise star of this cruise! For only $2 you get this bag of fresh salty delicious popcorn and they actually encourage you to toss some to the ducks on the river. It was really fun watching them Rush up to the boat and watching the children laughing and enjoying themselves. I love popcorn though so unfortunately the ducks had to share with me because it was definitely the best $2 popcorn I've ever had! This is a must if you're in Frankenmuth and I'm so glad we got to experience it. We had such a nice time that we bought some souvenirs on our way off the boat, including a little Captain's hat for my husband to match the one we had for our pup already. It really was a lovely time.

I look…read moreforward to some day doing both the escape rooms and historical tour of the building, but the event I went to was 100 out of 10. The ambiance was sooo cool and spooky inside Eloise, I met a ton of new people and got to explore part of the building, but I was too nervous for the haunted attraction. The actors and their costumes in it were the most realistic I've ever seen. Very cool experience all around. I hope to do the escape room this fall!

It was a beautiful Sunday, September 13th, 2026 when we booked a cruise on the Huron Lady II. What a perfect outing it was. You had to get there early to get on the top deck but we were grateful to be on the bottom deck. I didn't care because as soon as we could roam around I went out on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful gentle wind and sunshine. The boat doesn't go too fast but it also isn't a slow boat either. The Captain tells you all kinds of interesting facts about Canada and the USA as you cruise 45 minutes south on the St. Clair River, then 45 minutes North where they take you briefly into Lake Port Huron...boy do you know the difference, once you hit that mammoth lake! The ride was smooth and very enjoyable. The seats were comfortable and there is plenty of space to roam around, even in a fully loaded boat such as was our experience. The boat was very clean. I used the restroom and it too was spacious enough and very clean. The crew was pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. I took this cruise several years back and it was called the Huron Lady, it was a different boat and it was docked closer to town. So, if you have taken this cruise before and it has been 6 or so years since you took it be aware that the location has changed.

It is like a small Greenfield Village, but smaller and way less expensive, except for the train, which is a bit pricey, but they ride is quite long. Not too many places for kids to eat during the field trip, so that was a downfall. I would have liked to have looked around the ice cream and treat area, sounded yummy. Most of the kids liked the train ride, but it was a bit long for the littles, they got bored. I enjoyed going around the area, it was fun for me. The kids then got to see a comedy magic show. They absolutely loved it, I have never heard small children laugh out loud so much, so please let the gentleman in the picture who performed know he now has many new fans. We were able to walk around about two small buildings before we had to leave, so I did not get to see much more. My child enjoyed our time there and would like to visit again. For me, it was fun, but I don't know if I need to come back except if my other child wants to check it out.
