Brooklynites all across Jersey, hear this.. Johnny Jrs in Netcong is where it's at. Closest thing to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn pizza you're going to get in the tristate area. It's not a full sit-down pizza joint but theyre quick and kind. The crust is just perfection.. exactly right thickness, sauce to cheese ratio is perfection and they use the right secret ingredient on the bottom of the pie crust to give it that textbook crunch. I placed an order last night after 3 hours I called to find out what's going on and it still wasn't ready so I asked if I could pick it up.. the lady said yes I. 1/2. I waited and then went to pick it up- long story short it still wasn't ready and if it was I still wouldn't get the food- I walked in the lady at the counter is cutting lettuce no gloves and mask hanging down past her nose- she walked over and was touching her hair and head then after telling me it's not ready she went back to doing what she was doing.. the cook was making pizza no gloves mask hanging off his ear , place is dirty and dusty and dingy it was disgusting!!! I don't want to be harsh but seriously? I found the guys who work there pretty rude and snarky over the phone.. When we ordered the last few times they seemed annoyed when we asked them if they could make a specific type of pizza and when we just settled on plain he literally just hung up on me.. I had to call back to make sure they knew where to deliver! We've ordered here more than once and the pizza isn't that impressive- and it's EXPENSIVE for PIZZA. One time we ordered a large pepperoni pizza with fried calamari and it came to $35!! For that price the food was not even that tasty and the service left us with a sour taste in our mouth.. Stanhope has a few other pizza places where the food, service and price is not terrible.. I wouldn't suggest going there to eat either.. It's not that spacious. Delivery also took FOREVER and we are literally down the street from them. But who knows, maybe just not for us. read more

ordered from here in the past and had no issues. today, we ordered and waited 2 1/2 hours for a panini and a chicken wrap. when we called they told us it would be another hour! we said we will pick up our food and it was ready in 10 mins. they did NOT refund me the delivery fee and tip i paid in advance for the driver. when we picked up, they were out of soda that we already paid for and they totally gave me the wrong chicken wrap. get it together!!! very disappointed!!! read more

NOTE: PIZZA RATING ONLY My family and I have ordered from every pizza place, franchise and mom & pop, in the area and Johnny Jrs. is BY FAR the best in our opinion. We order from Johnny Jrs. about once every other week and they have never disappointed us. The pizza is consistently delicious; the crust is not too thin or thick, perfect sauce/cheese ratio, and always perfectly cooked. And although I do agree with some of the other reviews that the portions could be bigger, I would much rather have a really good smaller slice than a 1/2 inch bigger, under cooked, sloppy mess (e.g. DON'T ORDER FROM DINO'S!!); QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. Again, I can only speak for the pizza, as we have not had their entrees or sandwiches, but with their pizza being so good, I can't imagine the entrees being any less. The appetizers we've had were also very yummy; mozzarella sticks, mac & cheese bits, fried calamari & ravioli (my husband & daughter love the fried raviolis!); and the zeppolis, not only do they give you a TON per order but are absolutely delicious. I would also like to mention one more thing that I personally find very VERY important: The majority of the mom & pop pizzerias have extremely rude employees (e.g. CARMINE'S has HORRID staffing) and the staff at Johnny Jrs. is always SO nice. From the man who answers the phone to both delivery drivers, everyone has always been very polite and courtesy. Little things, such as speaking to your customers, seem too often neglected, so I really enjoy ordering from Johnny Jrs. Who wants to work hard all day then treat yourself to an easy dinner only to talk to a total snot on the phone? Not this full time working mommy & wife.
