I thought wow, finally some good luck that I found a great place for dresses. BUT my 3 bridesmaids didn't get their dresses until 1 week before my wedding!!! The dresses were ordered in APRIL and kelly wrote on the receipts that I would get the dresses by NOVEMBER! Wedding is in DECEMBER! I started calling in November to check on the status and was told that they'll be in any day soon. Days passed...weeks passed...I was very nice and patient with waiting for them. However, December came and I still didn't get the dresses. Every single time, it was a different excuse!! Oh, delivery takes time. production takes time. When I so nicely reminded kelly that the wedding was a month away, all she said was "you can build a house in a month." When I finally lost it and asked why it took so long, kelly simply stated "oh, no reason" When my bridesmaids called, kelly would give the same excuses to them too. And then when the dresses finally arrived, they were all too big. Is this another way for them to make money off of you?? I think so! You would have no choice but to do alterations with them. This was the most stressful "vendor" I had to deal with. Save yourself the trouble and avoid these crooks.

Her price for altering my dress were half of what I was quoted in Manhattan and the alterations were turned around in a two weeks. Two other things I appreciated about Natalia were: 1) She made suggestions about how to alter my dress, but wasn't pushy at all and let me come to my own decision on train alteration. 2) She is extremely detail oriented. The top of my dress was a bit baggy. Instead of the easier alteration of adding darts, she instead did the more challenging alteration of taking in the bust in via the arm holes, which maintained the clean lines of my dress. "Yes, we pay humans who live and eat and pay rent in the United States, which is very different from the people who made your dress so it is usual that for dresses under $1000 alterations cost more than the dress. Good luck with your hunt." They don't know where I got my dress from, and I'm also someone living in NYC and doing my best. I think people are allowed to charge what they want or think their skill is worth, but I also think the wedding industry has lost their minds. I found an independent professional who did a beautiful job and charged a fair price. I have other dresses to be adjusted until my big day, and had considered saving them if I needed help for my main dress which will be more expensive, but based on this rude and entitled response, I already know to never go back to this business again.

Just know that when you find a dress you love they will charge you a deposit (totally fine and expected). You will get a bill that will tell you the balance. When you go to pick up the dress they will try to charge you more stating tax - even though this is on your receipt. They will tell you the balance is what you "would" owe if you paid cash on the day (or after) the wedding (the receipt does not say this). They will claim it is "the machine" that tells them the balance. Even when you show them the receipt - nope. It was a 40 minute ordeal to get them to charge the balance on the receipt. My friend who had picked up the dress for us and had to stand there for 40 minutes while I argued about wanting to pay the balance on the actual receipt. Also, when my daughter went for her final fitting they forgot about her appointment. she waiting for them to come and open the store and then to have the dress brought for her to try it on - this took over an hour! When I mentioned this to the owner/manager (not sure which she was) she said that was "her bad". Lets move on to the tailoring: The tailoring was horrible and didn't hold up. they did add a bustle which consisted of a metal piece that looked horrible on the back of the dress and it did not bring the dress up enough. The bottom of the dress hung lower than the bustle and looked really bad. the crinoline was tied so tightly (we paid for them the come and help her into her dress) that she had cuts. My daughter mentioned the beading was an issue at the top of the dress and was irritating her skin. She now has blisters across her upper chest and marks around her waist from the crinoline. My daughter wore the dress for the ceremony and had to change right after. Meaning: she couldn't even wear it for her entire wedding. I texted the owner/manager (again, I don't know which she is) the next morning, She apologized. basically said in 30 years in business she had heard of this happening, but hadn't heard theirs ever did that due to their premium quality underskirt. She thanked me for letting her know and said that despite the unfortunate issue with the dress she hoped my daughter was still able to enjoy the rest of her special day and the the wedding was filled with beautiful memories. I responded telling her that considering the dress is the actual main event for a bride - that ruined things for her as well as anticipated pictures and a much harder capture for the live painter who was supposed to use a picture from the reception. I did send her pictures. I did not hear back from her again. The woman who came to help my daughter into her gown was very nice. She did take pictures of my daughter in the dress and even a video that she posted on their instagram without permission. Keep in mind this was about 5 minutes after my daughter was in the gown. We only paid for her to be there just to help her in the gown. I was not about to pay $600 for her to stay all day. I actually wanted to cancel this service and asked for it to be taken off. When they finally decided to just charge me what was owed and not the additional BS money this service was still included. Since I paid for it I just rolled with it.

WHERE HAS THIS WOMAN BEEN! This women is a seriously PHENOMENAL and def a PROFESSIONAL! She does an amazing job. She does everything from making custom dresses to making alterations. She is very precise and detailed. She is now bringing in brand name such as jovani dresses. I'm so excited! What I love about her shop is she makes these rare designs your rarely seen in the USA. Although there's limited options for bridesmaid colors and styles so if you have a lot (more than 3) of bridesmaids I don't recommend this place. They don't expect tips every time you come. Also they're pretty good on time as well as having someone serve only us and not have other customers there. The makeup artist that did the bride's makeup had amazing skills and also followed the bride throughout her wedding ceremony to touch up as well as change makeup style with the different outfits she rented. The photographer from thus studio really helped us loosen up and have fun while taking pictures together. My dress was too tight on the day of the wedding and they allowed me to switch out to a looser dress last minute. I don't know what the price was but the bride told me it was a more budget friendly option and it included everything in the package. Just need to book appointments to come in every time and no walk-ins allowed. Also they didn't all speak Cantonese which made it a little harder to communicate. Only one person spoke English well enough to communicate with. It's best to speak mandarin which I and 1 other bridesmaid couldn't really.
