I met John Webb at the Eugene Home Show in March and liked the designs they had set up, so I made an appointment for an estimate and design consultation for our upcoming kitchen remodel. I already have some basic ideas about what we will do to our kitchen, but I was really looking forward to getting input from a designer about the specifics. After our appointment, John said he would email me a design blueprint of sorts along with a cost estimate by the following week. The following week came and went, along with three more weeks, and finally I received an email from John's much-more-friendly associate, Scott, who apologized for taking so long and included a short, one-paragraph explanation of what could be done with our kitchen. No blueprint was provided as promised, and the paragraph about our kitchen design was so vague and elementary that it looked as though John's associate had taken it upon himself to write it since John simply did not have time for our project. I was offended and embarrassed to think that John Webb would honestly believe this was appropriate. It took almost a month for us to receive a short paragraph about our kitchen design? I could have written that design (without the slew of spelling and grammatical errors) in about three minutes. Also offensive is the thought that I would even CONSIDER working with John Webb after this laughable "design" was put forth for our review. If it takes him (i.e. his associate) that long to write a paragraph and email it to me, how can I be sure that he would ever actually complete our kitchen remodel? I felt like we were too lowly and uncool for John Webb, so much so that he didn't even bother to take the time to think about our design at all. VERY disappointing and unprofessional. I don't like to jump to conclusions, but it seems very clear to me and my partner that John Webb simply didn't want to work on our project. Maybe he thought we were too low-brow for his fancy designs? Or maybe he just thinks we don't have money to spend on a kitchen remodel. His loss. Stay far away from John Webb and his company unless you really love the thrill of disappointment. EDIT: Sanford T. is right -- I never got to see the design. I was informed that I wouldn't be able to even glance at the design without signing a $30,000 contract. Sorry, but that's ridiculous. The "design" that was emailed to me did not provide ANY information or details that would give me a clear picture of what was intended. It was clear that Scott wrote up a paragraph and sent it to me because John was too busy to sit down and write a real proposal. No time to flesh out a $30,000 kitchen remodel for an eager client? Sorry, but I think it's fair to say that that is unacceptable. I didn't cancel an appointment with John, as Sanford so adamantly states... John never bothered to make an appointment with me after I asked for more details about the design itself. Luckily, I've found that not all designers are this pretentious or awful with customer service (the fact that John's partner would refer to an unhappy customer as a "bad apple" should be evidence enough of their desire to promote their business positively). My partner and I had our kitchen remodeled and since I am the major cook in the family, want to write my own review. This kitchen works and is gorgeous. I finally have the kitchen I want, and for a reasonable price tag. John and his team delivered a fabulous product. Our previous kitchen was a design mess. It was dark, ergonomically crazy and not fun to cook in. I HATED it! We had some ideas about what we needed to fix, but John had the vision of what to do and was good explaining his ideas. They worked well with us to reduce costs too. We were able to assemble our own ikea cabinets saving a bit there. I would not recommend this unless you have done some Ikea assembly and are familiar with their methods. We also did much of our own deconstruction of the old kitchen. We had previously put down hardwood floor, so we had to remove old cabinets, appliances and wall tiles. We did as much as we could, which was down to the wall. John and his crew came in and worked very efficiently. Ours was not a 5 day kitchen as they had to do more structural and more plumbing and move gas lines etc. We had a great new kitchen in 3 weeks. They were responsive quickly with a few little things we found to touch up after the construction. We are still very happy with our kitchen. What amazes me is that we had about 4 feet of counter space before and now have about 14 feet and the place does not look crowded. Our kitchen looks so much bigger than before. Design makes a difference. Creativity and innovation make a difference. I recommend working with these folks. read more

We recently engaged John Webb and his expert team to redesign our home office. The results are fantastic. The IKEA products are versatile and of superior quality. Scott was especially helpful in making sure we stayed within our limited budget. It seems like the available workspace has doubled and storage area is now abundant and organized. Ikea cabinets are wonderful, but they are quite different from the cabinets most contractors are used to installing. Skyler, WeDeliverOmaha owner, is an Ikea cabinet expert. Using my design he selected and delivered the right cabinets to fit the space and installed them properly. He was easy to work with, was always on the job when said he was going to be, and met a tight timeline. When I wasn't satisfied with one aspect of the installation, he corrected it quickly and without question or additional cost. I would recommend Skyler to anyone who wants Ikea cabinetry. read more

I also have been waiting on John Webb for a few weeks now. He came out to look at my project and said I would have a bid in a week, I am still waiting. If you don't want the work then why waste peoples time. I have called multiple time and left messages with his rude staff and still cannot get a call back. Do not use these losers. read more

We had our kitchen done by John Webb Construction in Jan. 2017. One year later, I am as angry as the day they "finished". It was a complete kitchen remodel, removing one complete wall and part of another. All new cabinets, floor plan, etc. All was sweetness and light while he tried to get our business, but once we committed by signing the contract...things changed drastically. No one would show up for days in the midst of the construction. They were significantly over budget, although no major change in cabinetry, appliances etc. was requested. He set highly inaccurate expectations about the duration of the job and then acted indignant when we began asking for a completion date when this time frame passed. They told us that if we wanted an upcoming schedule or any reporting on what would occur during the remainder of the job, that would cost us extra. And here's the kicker....He stood in my kitchen and yelled and screamed personal insults, no exaggeration, on two separate occasions during the job, at my wife and I, because we dared to ask him questions about the job's schedule, the mistakes he made, the omissions of features we had requested prior to the work starting, and the sub-par carpentry that was occurring. We caught many billing errors that were for other jobs he was involved in. While they corrected them, had we not caught these in the billing paperwork, he have would gone ahead and charged us. I wound up spending a week finishing things after they walked out when they decided they were done. I'm truly nonplussed by the positive reviews I see here, and elsewhere on him and his firm. Our experience was completely opposite, and the worst we have ever had with a contractor, or for that matter, anyone we bought something from. My wife and I are not demanding, difficult or onerous customers and deserved none of his bullying and contemptible behavior. If you're considering working with this firm, be forewarned. read more
