From the initial consultation for the quote to every step of the way, Henry kept me informed of the process. We met Henry over at Trenton Block, where we looked at various products, pavers, and materials. He even gave suggestions on designs and concepts. He and his crew were always on time and cleaned up at the end of every day. It took about 6 days for them to complete the job, and they even leveled out my backyard with the extra dirt removed from preparing the area. These guys do quality work, and their attention to detail was immaculate. Seeing pictures of their previous work, I left the design of the borders and accents to them but they kept me informed of what the final design plans were. I can't tell you how amazing it turned out and I cannot wait to enjoy my beautiful backyard space this summer and even into the fall. Henry and his crew are hardworking, friendly, and very honest. A friend referred me to HG Handyman Services as they had just done a complete kitchen and bathroom renovation for him and had a great experience. I called, the phone was answered on the 2nd ring and Henry, the owner was at my business within 2 hours to give me a free quote. It was evident that Henry was knowledgeable and a great fit for what I was looking for (guest bathroom flooring, new baseboards, new toilet, new vanity, new drywall, fresh paint). I was emailed a quote 4 hours later and scheduled to have to work done while my business was closed for vacation last week. I trusted Henry with keys to my business and let him know I'd be out of the country with family but he could come and go as he pleased as long as the work was finished by this past Monday. I was blown away that he texted me updates with photos of the work every day which left me at ease and had the work done much faster than expected. The work is beyond perfect in every way and my business was cleaner than when I left. In addition, he noticed a floor board in the front of my business that was coming up on one side.. he called it a tripping hazard and fixed it for free. He also adjusted my bathroom door as the door was rubbing when trying to shut and he wanted to make sure it was fixed. The best part of this experience was the pricing... I ended up paying just a tad more than the remaining 50% I was planning on paying the other contractor because HG was so reasonable. Needless to say my house will be worked on next and I'll be using HG Handyman Services again!

I received nothing but grief, condescending comments, threats of keeping $400 for breach of contract,(which his contract states nothing about that). He later changed the bogus penalty to $150 when I pointed out his contract info. Finally, on 9/18/23, he stated my check "was in the mail". Never received one as of 10/5/23. I reached out and was told check was mailed 10/4/23. The owner(Frank) has not responded to my calls, texts, & emails after 10/5/23. My husband teaches out 10/18/23 and was told 2 checks were mailed but he would send another. Let's hope he is stating the truth this time. ( as of this review on 10/19/23)

Also, I later learned that even though I was billed for permits, the city had no record of any application for permits. This means A&B also faked the city inspection, so I don't even know if the work was done properly. When I contacted A&B about this matter, I received no reply. I advise looking elsewhere for a reputable contractor.

But I'm happy to report that Anthony unlike several others did what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it, and for the original price he said he was going to do it for. I went to meet James at their showroom and was very impressed. It was comforting that they have a location where I can talk to them in person where in the past contractors that didn't finish work, did not return calls and were nowhere to be found. I had James finish our kitchen, living room, foyer, banister and stairs. Every detail from the installation to the paint work was not only top quality, it was communicated through every step.
