Also, you had to park a mile away because as previously stated, there is no parking! Why host tournaments if there is no place to park? There is zero shade and if you don't get hit by a foul ball then consider yourself lucky. The prices in the concession were okay but the food was not that good. The worst part is how unclean and filthy the restrooms. The men's and women's were equally bad. Although the moms on our team had to go as partners to the restroom due to lack of locks on stall doors. They are in need of something to cover and shade fans as well as some netting to protect spectators from fouls balls. Finally, they need to hire someone to maintain and clean their facilities. Our two games were early morning which means they hadn't been cleaned in a while! Just not a great park overall. The Slumpbuster is a big tournament and should use better facilities to host the tournament.

This park is super close to my house and a convenient place for walking my dogs with the circular, flat paved pathway. Overall, like most city parks it could use a little more maintenance but I was pleased to see many people there enjoying it on a recent Sunday evening. There is a playgroud with benches and picnic tables scattered nearby, at least 5 trash cans, 4 tennis courts and a baseball diamond. It was pretty clean but unfortunately some people have used it as a place to dump tires in one area. I wouldn't come here for quiet meditation or solitude as one can see and hear the nearby interstate. Also, I probably wouldn't come here in winter months if there was snow or ice on the ground. While the park is flat, the entrance/exits are on a steep incline making it difficult for my little Honda to get the traction needed to get back on to 50th Street even on a good day. I've been coming to this park more frequently lately than other locations to save on gas.

Shaded picnic spots made it easy to relax between innings, and the concession stand was stacked--fountain sodas, nachos, burgers, hot dogs, walking tacos... basically ballpark heaven on a tray. Then the cherry on top: a Colby Ridge food truck dishing out waffle cones and frozen lemonades that hit the spot like a walk-off home run. The whole scene was just good vibes--kids laughing, running around, families cheering, snacks in hand. Honestly, it was the kind of evening that makes you forget your phone for a while.
