For one my recent pictures do not do the whole park justice. Its massive and all the different…read moreareas are far apart so there isn't much noise bleed over. Tons of baseball diamonds although i dont know how often actual events are scheduled in them. Last visit i even admired a few people flying some nitro fueled tethered airplanes. When i was onsite 2 baseball games were going on and the splash pad was busy and still tons of parking. One thing i didn't like is the playground by the splash pad had a 'soft' ground covering but WOW was it reflecting heat like crazy. On a hot sunny day keep an eye on your littles so they dont possibly burned. Also that playground equipment is wheelchair accessible from what i could tell since it had ramps up and walkways were very wide. It can also be tricky getting into the park as the entrances are pretty small steeets. I'd recommend the access off Harrison street.

The clubhouse makes the perfect meeting point for group activities or just to hang out with a cup of hot cocoa on cold winter day. Plenty of free parking and well marked activity areas. Check out Seymour Park If you just want to go for a walk or you're more ambitious for some of the great activity infrastructure available for public use.

Love this little lake Treasure located just outside Ashland (between Omaha and Lincoln). It's got…read moreamazing primitive tent campgrounds on the lake with wonderful views and relaxing spots. Also has camper spaces. It doesn't get the traffic like big camp grounds in my experience so it's more peaceful and costs significantly less- only $8 for primitive camping ($5 more for vehicle permit if you don't have state park pass). When I was there in May I had the whole camp ground to myself save one other camper on the edge of the park. Camping is self-sign up with slips around park. Has fire pits and wonderful lake with tons of birds and avian wildlife to see and listen too. Hundreds of baby geese. Good fishing and local Dons Bar is the only food stop in Memphis so don't be afraid go on in and try a cheeseburger or fish- the bartenders super friendly-Also get fire wood there too. It isn't a far drive from Omaha- 35minutes if there's no road construction and is better than most campsites in platte or Mahoney. Take a trip there it's worth it!
