Their work encompassed nearly whole house wall repair and paint, ceiling and trim/door painting, installing recessed lighting, and changing out light fixtures. Their work was truly impressive and it's unbelievable the results they provided. They were careful with furniture and ensured that all floors and carpets were covered prior to all work. Wockenfuss painted my house twice. The first time he did a good job the second time I had a small…read moreissue which he would not fix for me. There was a rotten strip of wood that was not repaired during the painting process. About a week after he left I found a small rotten piece of wood over the garage door. You could put your finger through it. He told me to use wood filler and then paint it. You can fill small holes not an 18 inch strip. He told me to come back it would be $550 to do the work and I had the wood. So instead of paying that ridiculous price I called my handyman and had him do the work and buy the materials. It was $216 total. Then I filed a claim with the County Board Department of Labor for the $216. Mr. Wockenfuss did not want to pay and wrote a letter stating why and never honored the warranty or his work. I consider him a poor businessman. Yes he gives a decent price but he is not a decent person. So buyer beware. If everything goes well and he can leave rotten wood where you can't see it, you will be happy with his work. Beware if you want an honorable contractor. This happened in 2022. I was going through some old papers and decided to submit this before I throw the papers away.

So we gave them a call when we needed some interior painting done. Dave was prompt and thoughtful as he inspected our project area and he was very honest in his analysis. His pricing was fair and transparent. We ended up waiting to do the interior work during colder months when he offers discounts for interior painting. He gave us a great price and scheduled the work right away. His team did an amazing job and was very respectful, cleaning up at the end of each day. They also resolved a minor misunderstanding about paint colors with excellent customer service. We also had Wokenfus replace French doors which we had purchased most of the supplies ahead of time. They did an amazing job around the botched work of a previous contractor and made the doors look beautiful! He also provided quotes for some other interior carpentry. Unfortunately we are holding on some of that work to focus on recent water damage elsewhere. Dave seems to understand that establishing a long term trusted relationship with his clients is an important part of running his business. This was the worst service I have received from a contractor. Because it took me so many months to…read moredo the work the contractors didn't do and even correct the work the contractors didn't do well, I am just now getting to this review for a job that was done last fall 2024. After I paid a few thousand dollars, the workers just stopped working. Contractors agreed that they would lay down flooring throughout my townhome, renovate the basement and close in the hvac and water heater in a closet, install a new sink/vanity, and remove any dump. All was in their provided quote. However it was incomplete, sloppy, and late. Several areas have not been fixed in my townhome according to our quote. The gaps in flooring in the upstairs bedrooms have not been filled in. The paint job on the stairs and walls were not touched up as they had promised. The basement pipes were not painted over as they promised several other tasks. Also, the team did not reconnect the internet wiring in the guest bedroom after their "repairs". The contracting team left a mess over my belongs that was not cleaned up before leaving. For example, I asked for plastic to cover my furniture multiple times. It was not covered, now that and more items in the basement are dirty to the point where I had to pay a cleaning company. There is white paint all over the basement floor and my belongings that was not there before your team. The team also left their personal drinks/trash in my basement which is unprofessional and caused me more work. It has been several weeks since the team was supposed to be done with repairs (in early September). Further, dump removal was on the original quote, however you refuse to remove the back patio garbage that the team caused from their construction. The work was incomplete and late. The owner stated that he would send the team to make corrections by last Friday 10/4/24, but they did not come and he has not answered my calls or texts since last Monday in October. Thank goodness they were yelp verified, because Yelp was able to refund me up to $2500, with no help from the contractors. Let it be a warning, just because a company is Yelp Verified, does not mean they are reliable, but do choose Yelp Verified workers just In case for the guarantee!

The wholes they cutted to run the cables still have a different paint color despite me paying $3000 for the whole thing. Additionally, he hired workers elsewhere to do the work. My recess lights aren't aligned and the whole thing looks bad. Get yourself a professional!
