We recently took our Nissan Armada in for service. We were told that our extended warranty would not cover the service. We were confused why our insurance wouldn't cover it so my husband called our warranty company to get further explanation. We were informed by our warranty company that no inquiries into coverage have been made. I understand that things happen, but this unfortunately was dishonesty from the service department. The work on the vehicle was up to standards, but this is an ethical issue that will likely result in us looking elsewhere for an honest service provider. read more

It was worth the drive from Rochester to Cedar Falls. Buying experience was fast and easy, and I feel like I got a good price and a good deal. Went to John Deery Motors in Cedar Falls with some dear friends (Aug 18th, 2020) who got a great deal on a 2013 Rav4. Take the time and check them out. Ask for Sal, who was awesome. Sal is a good listener, respectful and a NOT pushy sales consultant!! Sales manager and Finance manager were awesome also. The have a great used car selection. The easiest and fasted car buying experience I've ever had. I truly hate car shopping and dreaded having to find a vehicle even though I knew I needed a different one. I'm usually turned off by the big dealers as I feel like they just push you into what they want you in. I found a vehicle I liked right away, the salesman was very friendly and respected me as a woman which I have found to have been treated unfair by many salesman. The finance team was amazing and even though outside normal bank hours he was able to get me an awesome loan with a great payment. And this is was all completed in under an hour. BUYER BEWARE!! Quality checked is not what they say. Paid clean retail book for a vehicle and missed a star in the tint line of the windshield. Only put 35 miles on the vehicle when it started to spiderweb. No worries right? WRONG!! "Bought as is"..I get it. Was in the auto business myself. But I find it hard to turn a customer away for a safety issue. Bought multiple Vehicles from Dan Deery. Two days after purchasing my Daughters Corolla, it got a flat. Dan replaced it without me even asking. Guess that's customer service. Shame to think of all the referrals that would have come John Deery's way over a $280 windshield. Guess they will never know. Not a way I wanted my Son's first car deal to go down. Guess the Corolla and RAV 4 we have coming off lease means we will be going back to Dan Deery's. I think they know what customer satisfaction means. "Make them happy they tell a few. Unsatisfied and they tell hundreds" I have a tough time believing John Deery made this call. read more

I went to UNI for college and now live south of Des Moines, 2.5 hrs away from cedar falls. I decided to look at John derry's for a car and found one I liked. I drove up and they took care of me that same day and worked out a great deal. The AC seemed to be broke once we got the car home, which middle of the winter I did not check it before buying it. I took it to a repair person and they said they fixed it but did not fix it for long run. We took it to another and found out it was a very expensive fix. I called John Deery's about it and with out hesitation they said they would send me a check to get it fixed. AWESOME customer service. We will be back! read more

HORRIBLE! Will never, ever go back and never recommend!!! Called the service area about a.simple problem with a window, and asked about parts. The person I talked to confirmed what part would fix the problem and ordered it. I went in to have it fixed and it "didn't work". Was told I need a new part. AND I had to pay for and keep the part I didn't need!! A week then went by without hearing from them. I finally call and find out the part had been there for 5 days, sitting, no one plannefd on calling me. Then I go to have that part put in and get the bill, which they doubled the price of the new part, and there is a new $4 fee on the bill. I ask what it's for and am told it's "miscellaneous fees"!! They charged me to wash my car and wipe a cloth over the dash!!! The service managers all spoke down to me, assuming I'm a dumb woman who knows nothing about cars....which I am not. 3 people were eating food at the service desk, speaking to me with mouths full of food. Absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service and professionalism, as well as tacking on hidden fees and milking customers. Awful place, stay away!!! read more

I am really dissatisfied with my whole experience through John Deery. First a foremost, I was given a price that the dealership would come down to on the specific vehicle I was looking at, however, when I went to go through with the deal they said that was not the offer and said they could not go down any. I still decided to go through with purchasing the vehicle. When I went to sign, they increased the price to basically cancel out the amount I should've been receiving as a rebate. In the end, I still went through with buying this vehicle because I really liked it. One of the stipulations I had when buying my new vehicle was that it had remote start. Well, I was told that Nissan Rogues do not come factory built with remote start but I could definitely take it somewhere else to have it installed later. So, just recently I decided to take it in to have remote start installed and was informed that you cannot, in any way, install remote start to Nissan Rogues. That was definitely strike three for me. Poor customer service and salesmen are not well informed. read more
