They will tell you they are "no pressure" but will give you the same slimy sales rebuttals if you even think about backing out on a possible purchase. Kyler in the finance department was not only extremely pushy about signing a service contract, but especially rude about not wanting a service contract. This service contract was not even mentioned until it was time to apply for financing. Chad the sales rep was pretty pushy with rebuttals, especially when he thought he might lose the sale. However. Kyler was a whole extra level of rude. He had to excuse himself from his office because he waa so angry by the end of the interaction. read more

Bought a 2017 duramax from them, have 2500 miles on it since I bought it, so far it's had fuel rail pressure sensor, water pump, upstream nox sensor and injector pigtail replaced, but it's not fixed yet still, needs a new dpf, I thought buying one of their certified vehicles would mean I was getting a good vehicle, but it's not, left a google review for my poor experience before, got a response telling me to call them to get things handled, called and wouldn't you know the manager was not in that day, I've since left two messages and no response, would never buy a vehicle from them ever again, especially from Ashley Tudor, as he lied to me and sent me misleading pictures of the vehicle as I was 4.5 hours away, what a great shock to arrive to. read more

As an employee of Caliber Collision, I recommend buying parts through Rydell as they are reliable when it comes to ETAs on parts, has very reasonable prices. Since buying my vehicle from Rydell Chevrolet in Waterloo on September 10th, I have had: A broken center vent-repair of the air vent, a broken adjuster for my passenger window, a complete replacement of the generator/alternator, a faulty battery cable, and now a broken rear ABS sensor. Hundreds of dollars in diagnostics and towing costs and thousands of dollars in repairs. I haven't even had my vehicle a year. I could not be more dissatisfied with a dealership. read more

We made our first stop at Rydell Chevrolet today (normally Dan Deery people) after debris in the roadway caused a flat tire and initiated an emergency stop. Bryan at the service desk said they didn't have our size in stock but could get them much later in the day. He didn't want me and my family (with two young, impatient boys) to have to wait all day so he directed me to Tires Plus across the street. The price he could give me for tires if we would have waited was as great as everywhere else but instead sent me where it was better for me and not the company. He aired up my flat tire to get me there at no cost. Bryan and his excellent customer service are the reason we will be doing all future vehicle service at Rydell! read more

I was not happy at all with the sales department. The condition I made for purchasing the car was to have the under carriage being covered with the protectant would be included. I then discovered almost $900 had been added to the price of the car. The sales manager (Jeff) was horrible to work with and the salesman (Brian) lied to him and said that was not part of the deal. Be careful when taking your vehicle into the Independence location, but probably the same in Waterloo to get service work done with pricing and payments. With covid-19 going on money is a little tight right now and my bill was pretty expensive when I picked up my vehicle I asked if I could pay it over the course of a couple payments and was rudely told no we don't do that here would be nice to know that up front. read more

just got a 2013 spark they told me they were checking everything completely out before it even ever left they only focused on the radio they let me leave with a nail in it windshield washer not working and when I hit highway speeds it's making sound like it's in the axel and the sales manager Tyler and sales representative Wyatt is trying to cover up for the unprofessional inspection saying it has to be a coincidence the sales guy Wyatt knew the tire was low before I left the lot so that's proof the nail was in it before leaving I will not remove this until rydell makes everything right I had kids in the vehicle when the vehicle was making the unsafe noise essentially rydell put me and innocent children in possible danger not fully checking out how it drove on all speeds the highway is literally right there about a 15 min drive to the cedarfalls highway at 65 mph (Edit) I don't want the owner to respond with this generic response with the rydell phone number like I'm seeing I want to talk directly to them I'm not dealing with Tyler Wyatt or anyone else they straight up lied to me and didn't do there job read more

All my experiences with the Rydell staff have been wonderful and I feel like I've dealt with almost every department! Their receptionist is always warm and welcoming, the sales team really cares and takes time to find the right vehicle for each individual person, the service department is quick and timely and the management/office staff is always easily accessible if needed. Watch out for 'bait and switch' where used cars are concerned! Called last night about a vehicle we saw on the internet and then again today before we drove the hour to get there and were assured the car was available. Then 6 min away, they called and said, "oops I guess that one sold, but you might want to look at this one only $1000 more..." Very disappointing. read more

They are always very friendly when I take my car in. Both the service department and oil change department are quick getting my car in and out, and take the extra steps to vacuum the interior and make sure that my wait is pleasant. I have used to courtesy shuttle in the past and am always happy with how friendly the drivers are. I last brought my car in for a recall, and was expecting to use the shuttle to pick my car up over my lunch hour, but they were nice enough to drive my car back to work so that I didn't have to waste my lunch! I've always been very happy with their service and plan to continue bringing my Malibu there. read more

Had my car serviced at Rydell. Free full inspection oil change and rotate in less than a half hour plus they found my brakes were getting pretty bad. When I said they hadn't made any noise they happily brought me to my car and showed me and explained it. Very pleased!! read more

Service in the Quick Lube, has been getting very poor. They are no longer quick, and the quality of their work has bordered on incompetent. Had oil spilled down the side of my engine and no attempt was made until I pointed out the problem. Car was parked outside in the rain with keys hanging from the door and the drivers window down. Had to stop them from using non_Synthetic oil when I ordered the Full Synthetic to be used. Employee turnover of the Service employees is very high. read more

I had made an online appointment for an oil change at 12:30pm on a Monday. When I arrived there were 8 cars pulled up to the doors. They said they would try to get me in sooner but it looked like a 2 hour wait. I appreciated the honesty and prepared to wait. It was 3pm when my car was finished. I learned many things while there waiting. The popcorn and snacks were very good and that some people can be very rude. I also appreciated the patience and friendliness of the staff during what seemed to be a stressful day. The service on my car was excellent and yes, I will be returning. read more

I took my car in to find a problem with why my car was overheating. They did a diagnostic on it and determined that it was my water pump. I had them fix it only to drive it off the lot and it was still overheating. The service department came to the conclusion that it was my head gaskets and said it would cost between 2200-2400$. I decided I did not want to spend that much on a vehicle that had that many miles on it and went to talk to the sales department about purchasing a pre owned vehicle with much less miles. I was very impressed with the salesman that approached me (Will Frost) who was not pushy or demanding he make a sale. He was very patient as I test drove several vehicles. I then went back to the service dept to tell them of my decision only to be advised that I fix my car because I was told it was in great condition for the amount of miles it had on it. I was concerned that my transmission was slipping as well and they told me they would test drive it as well as taking 1000$ off the top of my service bill to fix my car costing me only 1200 instead of the 4500 I was planning on spending to buy a pre-owned vehicle. I took the service departments advise only to receive a bill of 2200$ because they found other issues and problems with my vehicle that needed fixed. I now have a vehicle that the transmission is regularly slipping, have invested over 2700$ into, and still needs major work done to it in the near future. I was very happy with the sales department but highly disappointed with the service department as they worked again their own sales department to get my business. Not sure why a company would allow their employees to work against each other to try and garner a customers business instead if trying to find the best fit for them so they become a repeat customer. In all, I would probably buy a vehicle from Will Frost but never use Rydell's service department to fix another one of my vehicles. read more

Usually have a pretty good experience when visiting Rydell however, after getting my vehicle serviced from them last week I was extremely disappointed. Seemed that they didn't do the full service I had requested and were definitely trying to rush me out of there! However, my experience at Rydell Cheverolet was the best car-buying experience I have ever had! Tyler Frank was my sales associate and he was certainly a pleasure to work with. He greeted me with a friendly smile and sincerely and honestly answered all my questions. It was as if I had brought a friend along. I normally have a very good experience with Rydell however this last visit didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. I went to get a headlight bulb replaced and when I called customer service set me up with an appointment at 4:45pm which fit my work schedule. Once I arrive the service guy said "Im surprised cs made an appointment this late" it gave the feeling that uggg I am ready to be done with work and here you come. I was not impressed with that and was glad to get out of there when it was over. It rubbed me the wrong way. read more

While I appreciate the promptness of being able to get my truck serviced, there are a few items that left me concerned. I gave the service department my extended warranty information, and also a service ticket from another local dealership, as to what was done to check the problem with my service ABS light coming on. While the problem was resolved quickly, and all paperwork submitted for my extended warranty company to pay for the repairs, I got neither my extended warranty paperwork ( which happens to have my contract number and warranty company contact information ), or the service ticket from the previous dealership. I like to keep a copy of all repairs done to a vehicle with it at all times, but now that I never got one back, it's like that service was never performed. It would also give me a mileage, and date at which repairs were done. Also, I no longer have my service contract for my extended warranty, so with no contract, I not only wouldn't be able to get extended warranty coverage, and have to pay for repairs ( there is approximately 3 1/2 years left on the contract ), I have no one to call and get a copy of the contract. Like I said, the repairs were great, but it would be really nice to have all my documentation back. I didn't notice it was gone, until I got home. read more
