I was initially working with Gary Rando (one of his team members under him) who was shady to begin with, would never let you finish a sentence and always interrupt from you making your point. Anyways the condo I was interested in purchasing listed for 40k overpriced, so my and my realtor negotiated it down to 10k cheaper than listed price, hoping that once loan officer aka Gary the crook sends out bank appraisal, it will come to current market value. Appraisal came back exactly what my realtor and I negotiated the price down too, and it was comparable to three other condos that was 1.6-1.8 miles away in complete different subdivision and different neighborhood. My condo is in Westchase and they appraised condos in energy corridor neighborhood which are obviously bit on more expensive side of spectrum, that's when I started doing my research and calling realtors who have sold condos in that same condominium subdivision during entire calendar year of 2019 in Westchase location and all confirmed appraisal has been overpriced by 40k. So I fired Gary Rando and escalated case to John Christoff who I didn't trust since from same prime lending organization but wanted to give him benefit of doubt to prove himself and come clean. Initially he told me I was correct and appraisal was category risk 5 and was appraised overpriced, so he would rebuttal appraisal and add comparable properties within same condominium and not condos from 1.7 miles away from different neighborhood. But sadly I was correct, he was just as crookish as Gary Rando after all he is supervisor of crooks. Basically he rebuttal my original overpriced appraisal and added one condo from same condominium and kept the other two comparable properties from kirkwood condos which is 1.7 miles away in energy corridor neighborhood despite me sending him a list of comparative market analysis of 11 condos sold within 2019 from the same condominium I was purchasing condo from instead of going miles away to appraise a condo. Houston is a gentrified metropolitan which has condos market fluctuate within 0.1-0.5 miles, so off course condos 1.7 miles are going to appraise 40k higher than condo I wanted to purchase. Long story short, don't go to this integrity lacking dishonest crooks, I have wasted $525 appraisal fee, and $600 rent for additional month since I had to prolong my closing since I had to begin all over with a new lender. Even if the review helps one person, then so be it, I will feel satisfaction of helping others from not falling into these loan Officer lie and traps and waste time and money. read more
