Jason and his team (big shout out to Cassie and Beverly) are amazing! Our home buying process was…read morestraightforward and completely transparent. We received attentive, proactive service and helpful guidance throughout the process. They even reached out to the seller's agent (with whom they were familiar) and let them know we were great buying candidates. The team's use of technology for managing all documentation and signatures was enormously helpful as we were thousands of miles away. We never waited more than a few minutes to get responses from the team and no question went unanswered. We knew exactly what everything would cost long before we signed our purchase and there were zero surprises. His team shared in our excitement when we closed, and we'll be heading over to the office to thank them in person sometime soon! Protip: If you're moving from out of state, going with local lenders like Jason is a big plus with sellers!

This is one of those "I should have and wished I'd gotten to this sooner" moments. We were house…read morehunting in January 2021, at the height of the seller's market. In having lived in other states and this being our fifth home purchase, we have had the full spectrum of experiences related to lenders and mortgage companies. We relayed our concerns to our realtor who recommended Jason Higham at Cherry Creek Mortgage. We could not have asked for a better referral. The loan environment when we purchased was struggling with the post Covid events and the market explosion in sales. The day-to-day changes in funding, qualifying criteria, and background checks had intensified to a level of extreme frustration for us as experienced buyers. If it wasn't for Jason and his team staying on top on all communications, keeping us in the loop, and expediting delivery of loan qualification materials I can only image how stressful this could have been. Jason's knowledge of the ever-changing criteria and needs of the individual lenders was outstanding. He was always on top of what was happening and sending out emails to both my wife and me. We knew he always had our best interests at heart and was working to get us the best loan for our financial needs and personal desires. He kept on working despite the many after-hours discussions and found us the lender with the best rates and conditions for our particular purchase. He was always realistically upbeat (no canned phrases) keeping a quiet and at times an appropriately humorous approach that worked to get us past the mountains of frustrations. For example, on the morning of closing and us walking into his office, he told us he just got word from the lender about us making a refrigerator purchase the day before and that they had to investigate; thus, we couldn't close. Unbeknownst to us, his team was working behind the scenes and after less than half an hour we were good to go with closing. During that half hour he was talking (and in hindsight distracting us) and making humorous comment about the impact of the lender wanting us to wait post-closing to purchase a refrigerator in what was at a time with the Covid supply chain shortages. This delay in this recommendation is more than embarrassing to write but is a long overdue 'Thank You" to Jason and his team a Cherry Creek Mortgage and hopefully speaks that our sincere appreciation is not forgotten.

It pained me to type this because I didn't want to. I hate sharing bad experiences but this was one…read morethat we were not going to brush under the rug. I can't speak on the rest of the team because we only dealt with Mark and his assistant. I actually waited a few weeks to post this review so it wouldn't be typed out of anger. He never ran my credit to consider my debt before allowing us do a purchase agreement on for a new build even though we're in a community property state - I had to find that info out on my own. We sent emails after emails / calls after calls once we realized this and he would completely ignore us along with his assistant who I won't name. They wouldn't answer calls from our realtor or respond to our emails - IF they did it was days later they emailed back. There were literally WEEKS before we would hear from him that we can actually post proof of. We did our research and read reviews so we were dumbfounded by the treatment and the situation. What was it about us that caused such carelessness? Why us? We called it a lost and cancelled the purchase agreement losing $2000 on our first ever home buying experience. While we forgive him and have grown stronger from the experience, it's one we will NEVER forget. We now qualify for a home after all the hard honest work and guidance put in by another lender.
