The prices were a little more than the big box stores but it is family owned, local, and has everything we needed for home repairs/upgrades. They have two locations, Canton and West Hartford. They offer paint recycling. If they don't have the product in stock, they will order it for you since they are affiliated with the Ace Hardware warehouse; the warehouse carries over 80,000 items. They offer many services in-house such as key cutting and propane fills. When you join the Ace Rewards, you can earn rewards with every purchase. Overall, a great asset for the community.

When I got home I realized they had mixed the other color mistakenly. I get it. Mistakes happen. I went back the same day, brought another chip and showed the same person that had mixed the original batch what had happened. They acknowledged the error and mixed a new batch but insisted that I had to pay full price for the new quart. Since he wasn't the manager he wasn't authorized to give me "free" paint.

I…read morerecently had a color matching challenge with the stain for my deck, and Ethan and Claudia rose the occasion in a big way. My deck and fence hadn't been stained for 10 years, the fence was still in good shape, but the deck needed a serious refresher. However, the new shade of stain with the same name made by the same manufacturer wasn't the same as when we last used it - apparently, they changed their formulation from oil to latex - might that be why? Anyway, I pestered the c**p out of Ethan to try to make the colors match, and he gallantly gave it his best effort in a one-hour engagement - where I clearly had worn out my welcome, though he didn't let it show - and got it close, but it still wasn't the same. I went back later on in the day with my wife - the one with the keen eye for colors - and Claudia patiently worked with us to try different shades in different brands. We found one that was closer, but still not a match. But when I mixed a gallon of that with the original 5-gal I started with, it matched very well. Problem solved, and the story comes to an end but for my repeated praise for these two young sales professionals that were clearly well trained and have a bright future ahead of them.
