All fluff put aside the John Boyle name brand mentions experience, and top notch customer service…read more For this picky do-it yourself type I have always depended the crew and the mixing counter to field my questions and turn me to a smooth finish line. The cost is muted when you see you own finished product. When time hasn't been on my side, a reference or two can be obtained. However, don't shy away from even asking a pro-painter for a name and number while they're waiting for an order.

Great customer service!…read more I went to John Boyle on 6/4/25 to obtain a quart of paint for my dining room wall. We had an in wall A/C removed and needed to match the paint. I was able to scrape a small sample for a match. The staff was very helpful, in fact Sean carried my paint to my car ( it wasn't heavy but he was kind to carry it for me).

I am building a new house in Colchester Ct. I needed tile for the showers and bathroom and laundry…read morefloor. My tile installer recommended Universal tile in Hartford. I hate shopping so i took my sister with me because I know nothing about tile. When i went in the store i was skeptical because I wanted to stay in budget and was hoping I could get something nice and cost effective. The store was fairly empty as it was about four in the afternoon. I went to the counter because i didn't know any prices and told the saleslady what i was looking for. i also told her i knew nothing about tile. She laughed and said she knew everything about tile and then proceeded.to put together tile patterns for my laundry room and bathrooms quickly but never rushing us and explaining how the color combinations would complement each other. She was also mindful of my budget. She gave me the estimate and said she would email the invoice the next day so I could review. I received the invoice the next day and she also secured a ten percent discount. When i went to pick up the order it was packaged correctly, and the warehouse staff was exceptional in helping load my truck. I will tell you that the tile looks fabulous, and I have had many compliments on my tile selections. although the credits belong to my salesperson Stacey Mckenna. Stacey's title is lead designer and for Universal to have such a qualified person on staff speaks well of the company. If you're looking for tile for your home office, etc. try Universal i am glad i did.

John Boyle's is my local Benjamin Moore dealer, located on Main St. in Manchester…read more This location is really great because the space is small, but also packed with anything you might need for your home improvement project, including staff who are very eager to help. Far less overwhelming than big box stores when you are mid-project and just need a fabulous paint color. The lighting in the store is actually really optimal for choosing paint colors, and there is a table right near the paint samples on which you can fan out your tile or curtains or whatever it is you are trying to match up. Simple, but much appreciated. They will also store your paint and finish information in the computer in case you need to reference it later and can't remember what the heck you chose. Everything revolves around the customer in this place, and you know what? I love it. Check them out next time you are sprucing up your homestead!

The first install was so uneven it had to be completely redone, which…read morecaused damage to freshly painted walls and left me with visible countertop and backsplash gaps, a misaligned refrigerator panel, and a kitchen that looks unfinished. The installers they use get paid by the job, they rush, finish in 1 day and get out of there. It's the worst "work" I have ever seen. This was the most expensive and time consuming mistake of our entire renovation. Customer service made the situation worse. Megan at the store was rude, dismissive, not solution oriented, and repeatedly blamed the customer instead of taking ownership of clearly documented installation failures. Measurements were incorrect, communication was horrific. Megan treats you like you should know how to design a kitchen and that you do it every day. She offers zero help and guidance. I had to call corporate to escalate the situation to have a second installer fix the kitchen which still was not properly corrected due to how terrible the first installers work was. Corporate refused to give me any sort of concession or discount. I honored my contract and paid on time. Cabinets To Go did not deliver professional installation, quality control, or accountability. Choose another company, I promise if you have an issue with this company they will not make it right. They will leave you with a kitchen that looks like it was done by a do it yourself homeowner. I recently when to Home Depot and spoke to a Wren Kitchen Representative. They have an amazing display of cabinets. So many beautiful option and everyone seemed so helpful. The cabinets come assembled already so there will be less margin for error. Cabinets to Go are not assembled and the installers put them together unevenly and bang them up. If I can help someone avoid the stress of what we just went through, I hope this review helps. It is so upsetting to look at my kitchen. It is terrible. But at least all of the big CEOs are making the big buck at cabinets to go. They don't care about people like us, remember that.
