    Lots of shade trees
    Rou M.

Large park with tons of tall shady trees. Lots of parking. Away from street noise. Lots of people taking naps or eating looking in the shade. I saw a few dog training sessions around here. A good escape from the big city life indeed.

Great park..baseball and soccer fields...Turf fields..good luck trying to find space to play or practice if they're in season..but very organized when it's time to close. Parking is a real mess during season.. great atmosphere

One of my favorite parks to visit. My early morning walks with my wife are very serine. Watching the ducks, the geese flying overhead in formation and the squirrels playing is interesting. Alot of open space, things to see and do. Great family park. The workers are pretty good about the cleanliness though lately there have been more homeless camping there. Still a very nice park overall.

    PRETTY!

I was here for a brief 6 minutes to rest and tie my shoes :D after biking. I think that this park is very convenient since it is by The Rio Hondo Bike Path! This park holds two fountains and a lot of ducks and geese that swim around happily and has a lot of trees for shade. Everyone seemed to be enjoying life and were living in the moment with their loved ones. Active people all around, nice! Most definitely a nice spot for a picnic.

This is such a peaceful park with big beautiful trees. I love the lake with the ducks. Lots of shade and large areas to have parties.

Nice park for hunting a particular type of Pokemon, but watch your step. The ground is covered in goose poop.

There's obviously the open spaces with grass, a pond (although a bit dirty) with ducks walking around, a pool, basketball gym, soccer fields, and baseball fields.

There is so much to admire, from the beautiful gardens and unique architecture to the bird enclosures scattered throughout the grounds. My favorite spot was what felt like a greenhouse--a beautiful white building tucked within the park, complete with a gorgeous fountain inside. It felt full of life and had such an ethereal atmosphere. Even the squirrels were curious and interactive, making the experience feel even more alive. There are also several beautiful statues placed throughout the property, giving you something new to discover around every corner. If you're looking for a peaceful place to slow down and appreciate nature, I highly recommend visiting The Heritage. 命に感謝。 @FireLordRia

Most people haven't even heard of SFS and if they have it's mostly known for commercial business rather than beautiful scenery. This park is so serene, even on a weekend! It's gated with two sides for entry so it's open during certain hours. The park hosts a few events during the year but if you visit on a random day, you're likely to find yourself enjoying the history of the park, the area and the peacefulness nature brings.

Temple Park is located in west Downey, just north of Los Amigos Golf Course…read more Accessible via Stewart and Gray Road, it sits in the middle of a nice neighborhood. It's a very small park and playground area with a couple of bbq pits and several picnic tables. The Park was originally dedicated in 1968 (according to http://www.thedowneypatriot.com/) and was said to have had a pretty cool spiral slide... too bad I never had the chance to see it. At any rate, a new playground was put in and the park was re-dedicated in July of this year ('15). There are two swings for older ages. The only way your baby or younger toddler will get to swing is if you hold them in your lap. No baby swings are available. The area with the slide is nice, but I can't imagine kids any older than preschool really wanting to spend much time here unless you brought a frisbee or something. Both of these area have wood chips (bark mulch) instead of sand or rubber mulch, etc. as the surfacing. If the entire area was fenced in, I might like it better when I have both of our girls to myself. It's not a real busy area with traffic, but there were a few cars moving in and out while we were there on 9/17/15. It was around 11:30 a.m. when we went there and not a soul was in sight. Also, I really wish that the City would develop a better way to contain trash that was probably placed into the open barrel trash cans but made its way back onto the playground and lushes grass areas. Fair amount of street parking available. Review #397 Yelp challenge 78/100
