For savory items, we ordered the tocino sausage and spamganisa sandwiches w/ egg added. My boyfriend thought the spamganisa needed some sort of kick like hot sauce, but we both agreed the tocino tasted better: it had a nice balance of sweetness and savoriness. For sweets, we ordered the caramelized honey butter toast and ube champorado croissant. The honey butter toast was aesthetically yummy, but was difficult to cut into and the bread tasted slightly overcooked so it was hard to bite into. However, the ube champorado croissant had a nice crunch and ube filling inside! The service was quick, the area where the cafe is located is nice and the decoration and lighting made the cafe very aesthetically pleasing. However, they do have limited seating, but if you go around the morning on a weekday, there might not be too many people which is nice if you're not into crowds. My husband ordered the Cremas Latte and oh my god I wish I got it, it was so delicious; creamy, flavorful and sweet. I ordered the iced toasted almond "hot" chocolate, it was a very rich dark chocolate taste with the amaretto flavor coming through nicely. It was not overly sweet which I enjoyed. I think this is how hot chocolate was meant to taste and I'll be curious to try it hot. I also appreciated that there was some of my drink that didn't fit in the cup, so the barista gave it to me in another cup. My son ordered a Golden Mango Smoothie- he loved it! I love that it has turmeric in it, I felt good letting him have this drink. We also got some snacks. We ordered the Haitian beef patties which were very authentic. You get two per order which was a nice surprise. My son wanted to eat all 4 from our two orders. We also ordered a mini chocolate cake which was decadent and moist and a mini key lime pie which was refreshing and delicious! It was really nice being able to go to a Haitian cafe. My husband and son are Haitian and we enjoyed teaching our son about his culture while he can enjoy treats made with imported Haitian ingredients and recipes. He also enjoyed looking at the art work which prompted him to ask my husband more questions. I only wish there was better parking, especially for us out-of-towners, but I know that is hard in a city.
