Now, the reason they lost a star. Was seated outside by hostess. We had a whole conversation about the great weather to sit outside. As I said above, no waitress for a good 5-7 minutes. This was our first time here, but it won't be the last. We stopped in for an early dinner today and had a great dining experience. Our waitress, Amina, came over to us immediately to get our drink and appetizer order. The spinach artichoke dip was really good but the toasted raviolis were the stars. Some of the biggest and best I've had, stuffed full of meat and paired with a nice marinara sauce. We chose the country fried chicken served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was delicious, the mashed potatoes were real and so good. I'd recommend the dish. read more

We were visiting a friend and stopped in Joey B's for an early lunch. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Our friend is a picky eater but she was patient and his order arrived perfect! DH ordered the lunch half salad-half pasta. He's lactose intolerant so had some special requests also. Again, the kitchen got it right. And, for the price, his was the deal of the day! We've eaten at Joey Bs in South County several times. They have a really good and varied menu. The breaded pork tenderloin sandwich is really good, big enough for two. They're always busy, so service can be really good or lacking. Last time I received the wrong order. I ordered the boneless wings appetizer, but they brought out the regular wings. The server assured me it was the same price, but it was $5 more. I was disappointed and unable to get a receipt or a refund of the difference. I've never sat at the bar, so can't speak to that. The main dining area is pretty big, lots of tables and booths. There are about 6 or 8 tvs, all showing sports. Great fried chicken-just ask the chicken clucker group! Stopped in for dinner and noticed the restaurant was clean and decorated for Christmas. We liked how it reminded us of grandmas house. The service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and polite. He made sure our drinks were full and was very attentive. We tried the mozzarella sticks and they were amazing. Very large and delicious, sauce was tangy and flavorful. I had a pizza which was great. St.Louis style with thin crust and covered with toppings. Asked for my entree to go, waitress did not apologize and it took 15 more minutes to get to go. Never had drinks refilled either and again no apology or break on check whatsoever. We settled on the fiesta pasta, grouper, mozzarella sticks, and a side salad. This place gives generous potion sizes and we quickly realized that we could have ordered one entree and spilt it. We went for dinner on Thursday and to our surprise it was so busy, always a good sign! However, we got sat rather quickly and our server came right over to get our drink order. The restaurant is VERY family friendly so it's a little loud if that's not your thing, we don't mind the noise. Our food came out quickly and BONUS....we waited to split a salad and they brought it out in 2 bowls already split. It's such a nice gesture and we don't have to "argue" over who got more, lol. I had been to Joey B's before, however a different location and it was a few years ago. I remembered that it was really good so looked forward to taking my teen daughter there for her first time. As she would say, "Meh." I was disappointed that it wasn't what I remembered. The ravioli is a very thick breading or whatever it is, the meat inside mushy, we did not enjoy that at all. Our meals were not bad, just nothing stood out as really good. The service was fine, nothing to complain about but also nothing stood out. It wasn't crowded, but also not empty and it was a Wednesday night. I don't think we'll go back, again, nothing exactly wrong, just "Meh." read more

Love this place! We eat here all the time, and always have great service and food. It's lively, sports on the TVs and not too loud.

I had the shrimp scampi pasta. This was just okay. It lacked lemon in the butter sauce, which for me is key to a good scampi. If they had even served it with a couple lemon wedges, it would have helped. I should have asked the waitress for some in retrospect. The server was very helpful and she would have brought me lemon if I had asked. It would have added allot. The ambiance is sports bar. Lots of huge TVs everywhere and pretty noisy. Great menu with lots of choices for the entire family so something for everyone. The bartolinos have been a staple in town for decades and the original one on Hampton was always known for their cannelloni. My sister had that and said it was very good. We split house salad which was huge and perfect for 2-3 ppl before dinner. Others had hammer sandwich, wings, spaghetti for the kids (they have a kids menu) and a fried chicken w gravy dinner. All were satisfied. I didn't take more pictures because my group gives me grief for doing that because I am on the Yelp elite squad and they don't appreciate the food pics while we are together. read more

Bad service at the bar last 2 visits, same two girls behind bar, both Saturday nights, had to wait 15 minutes to order drinks, then 10 minutes to get drinks, then 10 minutes for a menu, they seemed unconcerned about us, borderline rude, brought salad and main entree at same time, after food was brought had to ask for steak knife after 5 minutes of waiting, food getting cold, then had to ask for water. Steak modiga was not a strip steak but a very small and round piece of meat. Steak modiga is supposed to be a strip steak, but it was switched and not noted on bar menu it wasn't a strip steak, but still same price as before and half as much steak, and the side of pasta wasn't a side it was mixed (slopped) next to the small steak and into the modiga sauce on same plate. Really bad service and portions, we are not going back anymore. If it wasn't our anniversary we would of walked out. read more

Joined the waitlist and good thing as it was packed We go in Sunday for the Fried Chicken Dinner. This staff knows what they are doing, waitlist, seating, ordering, bringing food pretty quick, and wrapping things up. They are fast, efficient, friendly, and they hustle on a busy night. Our table of five ordered a couple of appetizers, my favorite came pretty quick. I like the trashed wings since they are double fried and crispy. They have good ranch, too. The Sunday Fried chicken dinner comes with four pieces (breast, wing, thigh, and leg). Mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and a biscuit. Everything is good with the exception of the gravy. Went there Friday evening, last minute decision. it was the best decision. Got a table right away, GREAT SERVICE. I was trying to decide on what to order, I normally get the Trashed Wings, but felt like something different. Asked the waitress about the Spaghetti and Meatballs and she was very clear that it would be filling. she wasn't joking. It filled me up Friday evening and the other half filled me up while watching the football game this afternoon. Haven't been here in a long time. Honestly one of the reasons we stopped eating here was that they discontinued my favorite dish, pasta primavera. It was so good. Our very friendly waitress told us that people ask for it all the time. Why not bring it back? Tonight we sat out on their patio to enjoy the cool breeze. My husband was not very hungry so we decided to split a house salad and the chicken veggie pizza. The waitress offered to split the salad for us which was very nice. And we each had plenty in our bowl. Lots of pimentos, cheese, shrooms and onions if desired. The cider vinaigrette was good although slightly sweet. The pizza was good too with generous toppings. Go to KFC if you want better chicken. It's the main reason I go to Joey B's on Sun & Tue, but their cook times are the worst. I've been going to The Hill for a few months after telling several of the staff and management that their cooks are overcooking the chicken. I thought I'd give Concord (SoCo) another chance today and I was very disappointed! Chicken was overcooked and dried out. Gravy was as thick as milk... I just can't anymore. I'll continue to drive the extra 20 mins to The Hill location to get some good fried chicken. 1st time at this restaurant on Wed around 1:30 pm and the dining area was quite full for a late weekday. TVs were on but it was not too loud. Son and I were offered a booth which we took. There are steps, as another reviewer pointed out, so don't take a booth if you can't do steps. Blackened Hawaiian Salmon is the Daily special for Wednesday, but at $27.99, so I chose the standard Salmon BLT sandwich, with side of cole slaw. The salmon filet was close to the thickness of my son's burger, and well spiced. Our young server (forgot her name) allowed me to substitute a Wheat bun for the French bread that the Salmon BLT is usually served on. Slaw was good. Son got a Bacon cheeseburger with fries, and had no complaints either. We'll be back to try more of their menu, likely on a different day to taste a daily special. I wish they had smaller appetizer portions -- we didn't order any but assuming the prices reflect portion size, we didn't want to fill up on the appetizer knowing the entrees are big themselves. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm really not sure why people still go to this location. Had a humongous to go order with three pizzas and five salads. Get the order home. Only one salad is in the bags. Go back up to the restaurant and the (maybe) manager on shift made excuses that the line cannot see how many salads are on a ticket. She didn't even offer any sort of compensation and then also made us sit there and wait 30 minutes for four salads while the pizza got cold. Also tipped 20% which is regrettable for an incorrect togo order. I don't like coming here anyway, but I definitely won't be back. Especially not for it to go. Save your money and go to Liliana's! Joey B's a nice place to grab a drink with friends and a quick bite. We recently stopped in with a very limited amount of time and the waitress was very accommodating. We explained our time frame and she said it was doable! We were able to all get 2 drinks and an appetizer and be back out the door in about an hour. We had an appetizer buffet essentially! Spinach dip, onion rings, potato skins and fried cheese! Nothing healthy was chosen but it was all good with the cheese bites being my favorite. We had purchased gift cards that came with a $20 gift card that was to expire on 1/31/26. The heavy snow storm hit and they were closed for two days. They would not extend the cut off by even one day. That proved to us they really don't care about their customers. We had dined there numerous times and had also ordered take out. If you had to ask me where I could continuously go in stl for a great meal, Joey B's would be at the top. You really can't go wrong for any occasion. They have the BEST buffalo chicken salad I have ever had, actually best salad in general. Ever. And it's huge.- don't pour your dressing, dip it in the dressing, so you can take the other half home for leftover. It's definitely big enough for at least 2 meals. The managers were super great and helping the staff the entire time during happy hour. The bartender was by herself and running great. She was accommodating everyone and getting everyone the drinks quickly. The restaurant had several bussers making sure all the tables were clean. The food runners were very courteous and verified the food before placing it in front of the customer. I love that the restaurant allows dogs on the patio and had a Halloween party for them.
