Came in to town to visit family and noticed I had a nail in my tire. I called the local Toyota dealership and was referred to Joe's tires. I stopped by and met with one of the employees "probably not Joe" who spent 10 seconds looking at the nail and saying we can't do anything for you it's too much liability. We went to Orozco's down the street and tire was patched in 5 minutes. I don't understand how you can specialize in tires and have a direct affiliation with a dealership and can't take the time to not only evaluate the issue but potentially come up with a solution. I would have even purchased a new tire if that truly was necessary. Not a good experience. On the other hand I highly recommend Orozcos! read more

Very efficient - tire patched in just over 30 minutes. Good customer service.

Great service. Honest. Helpful. Friendly. Tito and Carlos know their tires. Would definitely recommend.

Called in to make an appointment for an wheel alignment and some rude as* hat refused to put me through to make one then hung up on me. I was inquiring to purchase 4 new tires as well. Instantly lost my business. Worst customer service, EVER. read more

Tito was super nice & chill. they ordered the tire for my vw I needed and got it the next day. Would rec.

Very friendly, super fast service and a great deal. Carlos was super helpful and made my experience a joy! Highly recommend

I'M STILL LOVING JOE'S TIRES! I went back in last week after not being theere for 4 months, and each of them, when they came in, said, "Hello Philippa - where are your chihuahuas?' They did wonderful work - a service plus a new tire for $199 (including tire rotation) read more

I brought in a flat tire to be repaired. The technician told me that the problem was that the bead needed to be replaced, which he did. He also tried to remount the fixed tire, but because I had broken the hub centric ring, he mounted the spare. The technician clearly explained this to me when he took me in the work area to show me the problem. I then went to pay, but was told there would be no charge for all the time he spent fixing my tire and mounting the spare. Amazing. The technician and man and woman working the desk couldn't have been nicer. If I ever need tire work again I will be certain to go back to Joe's because of their courteous and generous treatment. read more

They are really good. They are attentive to my needs as a customer. They fixed my brakes 3 hrs earlier than expected. I like how they are straight to the point and give a quote on site. read more

Well, It's been about a year since I went in to get help with a slow leak. My "Old tires" are still working great and there was no slow leak in the first place, no cracks, no evidence of cracked tires, no serious accidents because of my "old tires" they refused to work on and would only sell me new ones. I only went to them in the first place because I wanted to support a small business in my community and I find out Joe's tires is owned by the local berkeley toyota dealership. Thanks jose, hope you finally retired. Even though you asked me to keep quiet I feel the community needs to know who they are dealing with. read more

This is a very professional tire shop. They are extremely reliable and punctual, and take great care in their work. The personnel are friendly and responsive. I had a tire change and alignment done. Afterwards, my Saab felt like new. Leaving the shop, I forgot to take my groceries that I had got at the Trader Joe's on the corner. When I came back an hour later to pick them up, they had carefully stored the bags behind the counter so that nothing would get nabbed. Thank you! read more

Joe's Tires fixed the nail in my tire. I found the service to be extremely fast and friendly. The repair was also very reasonable. Highly recommend their services. read more

Last night I got a flat tire at 4:45 and my regular tire shop couldn't help me so I called Joe's and I took my car down there immediately. I thought I would have to wait til the next day but they stayed a little late and fixed it with a smile. They are my new favorite tire shop in Berkeley! Thanks Joe's for going to extra mile. Having my car back for the weekend makes a huge difference! read more

Aggressive and incompetent. I walked in and saw a another customer frustrated and expressing his feeling that he had been ignored and not helped in an effective and respectful way. I should have turned around then. I told the person at the counter I needed a new patch job on my tire. Repatch the tire, it was patched by a friend in a bind and I want it done professionally. He said it would take 1.5 hours. I left my car and after the amount of time I received a call with an "update" that the mechanic had checked out the patch and that it wasn't leaking. I never said it was leaking. They did nothing in the 1.5 hours I had to be without my car. When I went back to get my unserviced vehicle a mechanic gave me a bit of a stare and got into the car next to me. When I tried to pull out of their lot into the road I had to lay on my horn to stop him from backing up into my car. He saw me pulling out and continued to pull out and not stop even when I was honking. I nearly got hit from the front from incoming traffic because I had to keep pulling forward as I was beeping so that he would not hit me. Don't. read more

Beyond recommended. My car was really banged up and needed a lot of attention. Went to a few other spots around town to get some quotes and ended up getting charged for some of those "quotes." Brought it into Joe's Tires and honestly, some of the best and most genuine people in there really looking out for their customers. This is the first shop I've taken my car and don't feel like I'm being overcharged for anything. This shop has the greatest customer service and quality of service for cars. They kept in close contact with me to keep me updated about my car meanwhile it was in their control which made me super happy to know it was in good hands. read more

Incredible service. Indeed, as others have said, Tito and his team went above and beyond. Tito explained everything in great detail, educated us about tires in general, gave us options, zero pressure about anything, incredibly thorough, kind, respectful, competent, efficient, and more. Many thanks to Tito and Jose! I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

Time is ones biggest asset and Joe's understands that. In and out in less than 30 minutes for a balance and rotation. Not more than two steps in the front doors do I hear my name from across the room, Brook! Gabriella was quick to recognize me and get me rolling. Not only did she process admin quick but also made a connection with me. Talking about my car lead into a conversation about travel and it really enhanced my experience. She provided grade A customer service which will keep me coming back. read more

really great shop! the service was highly professional w/fast turnaround to fix my flat this weekend. they were also v. informative + on the level about my car needing eco-friendly tires. as an additional bonus, it was wonderful to find out that Joe's is the tire shop that the local official Toyota service center outsources all jobs to...this definitely helped solve the mystery of why I had such a poor experience trying to get a quote to fix this flat @ the toyota service center in albany. related, as I had suspected, Joe's confirmed there was nothing wrong w/my rim which the toyota service center had tried to sell me on to the tune of hundreds of dollars. hopefully, I will have no more mishaps in the near future but, if so, I will be gladly bringing my business here esp since they carry tires for toyota hybrids in stock (unlike Costco!) read more

Tito!!! You and your team went above and beyond! Thank you. I want to share what an amazing and generous experience I had Last Thursday working with Paul and Manuel(and Tito at the referral tire shop down the road- Joe's Tires.) I was driving home from UCSF with my partner who just had shoulder surgery and was post-op 2 hours. We were driving along the 580/80 just before the Richmond Bridge split, and my brand new Volvo XC60 Hybrid, Pirelli Scorpion low profile tire blew out. There was a bolt in it that dislodged and the tire lost air. We safely pulled off the freeway, not knowing the area at all, into a industrial area with few around. As we turned the corner, we saw Toyota Berkeley Autobody. In a panic with the patient in the car, I parked and walked in asking for help. Paul saw my concern and immediately had me pull in to assess the problem and learned these cars do not have spares because of the battery in the back for hybrid use. A flaw about this high end Volvo. Paul and Manuel swiftly went into problem solving mode while I called a friend to pick up my patient in the car. They took great care of me for the next several hours helping me get to a nearby tire place and put a temp tire on my car. These tires are not in stock anywhere as they are specialized, another issue to take up with Volvo. (I have had 7 Volvo cars and never an issues with tires like this because Of the hybrid. Paul a d Tito at Joe's Tires did not charge me for their time or help with any of this. They saw two people in need of help and put us ahead of any financial gain. Generous, kind, helpful, willing! We need more of this in the world. Thank you Paul, Manuel, and Tito. We are home safe and swiftly because of you 3 kind men read more

Came here twice for patches. Great price, fast service! What else can I say?

Great local tireshop around Berkeley. I happened to be around the area and unfortunately I got a flat tire. It was 30 minutes before their closing time on a holidays, 12/29, but they were nice and kind enough to take a look at the tire for me. The staff was friendly. After I waited for 20 mins, they told me it was not fixable, so I decided to go ahead and purchase 2 new tires from them, price was okay, would not be the cheapest, but given the service and the quality and the time, I appreciate them for taking care of the service and put me back on the road within 45-60 mins. read more

Had a small hole and needed to fix it quick to drive back to Sacramento today so I looked on maps and went for the best review and for sure was not let down! I usually don't write reviews but they were very quick, super friendly and I didn't feel iffy about the tire patch. They also changed my flat tire and put the spare back in its compartment! Thanks Jose (and the other tire specialist)! read more

Love going here! I have two cars that I take here all the time. I purchase new tires, get an alignment, & an oil change. Everyone here is super friendly, Jose & Carlos always take good care of me. Love this shop. Can't remember the guy who works at the front, but he's just a straight shooter. Didn't try to upsell me when I needed three tires replaced or recommend I replace them all since one of them was still mostly fine. They were super flexible on when I dropped it off and when I picked it up. The price seemed totally reasonable as well. This is a business definitely worth supporting. read more

what a mess! Ok the people working here were quite nice but in the end this was a disaster. I came in to have my car realigned...was charged $109 and then was told as I was paying that actually $550 More work would be needed to replace the front camber and the back shim. I decided to get an estimate at two other places for That same work. Both places came out $200 less to replace camber and shim. And both new places told me I'd have to pay $100 again for a new alignment because Joe's should never have charged me for one since it wasn't real without the other work being done. One place actually suggested I dispute Joes charge on my credit card. I should have noticed that while I was there a woman was trying to get a refund for lousy service. They said no no no no refunds here. Stay clear! Not only are the prices jacked high, I paid for a service that I'd have to do again the next day to have it be correct. read more

Tito and Carlos were professional and kind when I walked in. I needed a jump for my car a few blocks down, and Joe's was extremely gracious and ended up helping me out.
