This place is more like 3.5 out of five stars. I'm rarely in this area and wanting to get lunch and found this place. I'm glad they have lunch specials where you can pick a variety of items for $9.99 which comes with a small side salad. We end up getting a chicken fettuccine alfredo, the chicken was extra, and a ravioli dish. Both dishes were delicious as well as very filling, the chicken fettuccine alfredo was really creamy. Before they bring out the food, they give you some bread and butter, I highly recommend you use the bread and soak up some of your pasta sauce if you get pasta. On each table they provide a basket of condiments such as peppers, garlic powder and Parmesan along with a roll of paper towels. The interior is pretty dim but there's plenty of seats inside. One thing I didn't like was the soda machine on the outside near the ice dispenser. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned for a while. This place is located in a strip mall at the corner. The people working here are friendly and the bathroom at least a men's bathroom was fairly clean when I checked it. read more

I used to be so so good but they have gone down in quality recently. I have been eating here for 13 years and in the last two I don't know what happened but things have changed. This will probably be the last time I eat here because I am done getting mediocre Italian food. I ordered the calamari and they have changed it to mushy rings that have no flavor. Then the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo came with shrimp that were so overcooked they were past rubber and tasted dry as sand. The Alfredo sauce was thankfully as tasty as it always has been and that was what saved that dish. Then the angel hair with meat sauce was ok thanks to the very flavorful sauce but the pasta was very overcooked and mushy. Such a disappointment because I have ordered all of these dishes so many times before and they were always so perfect. I guess I will have to go to Olive Garden and that leaves me crestfallen. read more

Wow... what to say about Joe's, it's fantastic! This location has been here a minute and is a local favorite I live quite a distance away, but still make the trip for the food. We have tried almost everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed in anything! Pizza is full of delicious flavor while being cooked throughly while maintaining its crispy crust. All of the entrees are well seasoned, cooked to perfection and nicely portioned. The Clam Linguine is my favorite dish by far, especially with the garlic cheese bread. The Owner and staff are amazing! How they remember me every time I come in... I will never know, it's a universal mystery Don't let the age fool you on the restaurant and decor, it's well maintained and very clean. I've been driving by this place for years! I was in the mood for some Lasagna and I remembered this place so, I stopped in. It was a pleasant surprise. I'll tell you all about it I walked in and it was empty with just an employee eating his grub. The tubby sleepy guy with glasses and a striped shirt at the counter just stared at me. I believe, he was occupied with the game. I was like Welcome to Joe's! Lol. The employee that was dinning in laughed at me. He still didn't say anything, awkward. I told him it was my first time and he kindly said, go ahead take your time. I ordered Lasagna. There was like a fifteen minute wait. So, I did what any Yelper would do. I snapped some pics and struck up a conversation with the owner, Joe! You guessed. It . The guy at the counter was the M.O. D. Manager on Duty. I learned so much from Joe! He told me he had been at this location since his hair was dark now he's old and gray. Lol. The outside of this restaurant is located in a vintage shopping strip. However, the inside is really cute and gives off Italian vibes. There's was definitely an Italian Theme going on. I asked if, it had always been this cute and large in size. He said, little by little he has added on. When I asked how business was going ? He said, meh. It could always be better. His employee added to the conversation and said, "Oh come on, Joe! " "You pack this place out during lunch time!" Lol. He confirmed that a church group from Saint Bart's comes in here too. Joe is really observant. A mid aged lady walked in and he was like hi, young lady. Then a Mexican family walked in, consisting of a large male and a tiny wife with an oversized son, who appeared to be Autistic. Ok, now to the food. They give you a generous amount of bread. It was warm, soft and crispy on top. They place it in the brown bag with your food. My salad was fresh, lettuce crispy w one slice of tomato. Ranch dressing was creamy and delicious. My Lasagna was hot and enormous in size. It came in a round tin pan. It was two Lasagna sheets with lots of Tomato Sauce and salty Mozzarella Cheese. It was rich and fulfilling. I had to save it for the next day. In sum, it was better than I expected. It's nicer on the inside than out. Food was fresh and well portioned w a decent price of $10.99 Service was good it just took awhile to warm up. We both went for the 2 slice and drink special, with our choice of toppings. Pizza was very good. Later we learned we could have ordered a whole pie for about the same price... I haven't left a bad review in years. I've been coming here for a long time to get my partner eggplant Parmesan substituted spaghetti outwith fettuccine Alfredo. This is usually a $3.50 upcharge. The girl that I talked with said that this would not be possible as there was no manager in house to do a substitution and could only substitute items available on the menu. I worked in the restaurant industry through college and have never been able to not give a substitution to a customer. She charged me the full price of eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti and I had to buy a half order of fettuccine Alfredo. $24 after tip for a simple substitution. I don't eat out often and when I do, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for something simple. I've always loved coming here, but after this you've lost a customer. We were staying in an AirBnB nearby. One night we wanted something easy. We were a little bit hesitant as the outside doesn't look like much but after we looked at reviews, we decided to give it a try. I mean the sign outside says best Italian food in Fort Worth. We got a few pasta dishes and a pizza. The pasta dishes came with salads, but they were not good. The rest of the food was amazing. We got a seafood pasta and it was really good. Like really good. Good Everman eatery. Went here for lunch with friends. Got the stuffed shells, the ziti bolognese, and pizza by the slice. My ziti had a great flavor. So many places don't offer ziti with any kind of meat sauce, and this was very filling. Friends liked their meals as well. The rolls were dense and yummy. Salads were pretty simple and the dressings were good. Had the Italian dressing and my friend had the house (a kind of tomato vinaigrette) We came right before the lunch crowd so it took us a good minute to get our food. Not a big deal though. Hand-tossed, thin-crust pizza. It is crispy and chewy to perfection. We haven't tried anything other than the pizza, but after reading reviews, we may have to give the lasagna a chance next time. The best part of this place is the woman who runs the restaurant. She is usually there on Friday and Saturday evenings (in my experience). This small pizza place faces out on South Freeway. They have a 2 XL pizza special for $22.99. It's a whole lotta pizza. They only sell one type of crust. It's on the thin side which makes me so happy. We ordered the special for carry out without adding any additional toppings. The pepperoni was excellent. My fiancé and my son devoured the Canadian bacon pizza. The counter staff was not especially friendly but the pizza is really good, the location is okay and I would order here again for sure. I was shocked today to see that it is now basically a take out place and you service your own table, drinks, utensils etc...The food was old tasting and not very want despite being the only people there. I had chicken parm and it was like chewing rubber. To top it off the man who I believe is the owner was in the other section on his phone screaming cuss words at someone, not once, not. twice, but the entire time it took us to eat. They are charging insane prices for the quality of food(we got 3 slices of pizza, a chicken parm dinner and 2 drinks for almost 50 bucks), especially when you are your own server, and then to have to listen to someone cuss like you're in a nasty bar the entire time was just a bit much. Joe's Pizza Pasta & Subs on South Freeway at Sycamore School Road is a hole in the wall neighborhood Italian restaurant in a nondescript strip shopping center with a surprising menu. This is the first and only place we think of close to us when someone mentions ITALIAN. The ambiance is early 50's diner with the obligatory wall-mounted 26" color TV permanently locked onto a sports channel. Hey! We would rather listen to talking heads arm-chair quarterbacking last week's game than to loud rap, heavy metal or goat-roper music that many restaurants assault patrons with these days. Visuals aside, the food is EXCELLENT. We have tried the pizzas, the lasagna, calzones, veal marsala, veal parmesan and the eggplant parmesan, which are always tasty and prepared to perfection. Hot homemade bread rolls, salads and ice cold beer round out our choices. However these are but a few of the items on the menu and everything is very reasonably priced. Not once in our many visits to Joe's has there been an unreasonable wait for our orders as both the table service and the kitchen staff are polite, very competent and professional. The only improvement I could suggest is turn off the TV and pipe in Frank Sinatra , Mario Lanza or Dean Martin singing ITALIAN. (What a novel idea: Italian music in an Italian restaurant!) Either that or mount 70" HDTV 1080p's all around if you insist on being bombarded with sports during a meal like the sports bars. read more

This location has an established, old-school vibe. We liked it. Painted murals on the walls, red/white checked tables and a well-worn appearance. You can imagine all the great meals shared by family & friends since 1993. Fresh ingredients make it special. Thick sliced Italian sausage, quality meats and WONDERFUL Mozzarella make the pizzas a treat. We did the 2-slice lunch special which comes with a nice side salad. My companion could only eat one.
