If you're planning to make items out of clay, be prepared to spend several hours--it's a detailed process, but also very therapeutic. Painting was so relaxing, and the studio allows you to bring your own food and drinks, which made it feel even more like a fun gathering with friends. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a creative and enjoyable experience!

I came in wanting to design my own plate - so I can use it for hosting friend and family for meal times! This is the large plate and I opted to do the glossy acrylic paint. My project took me about 10 hours to paint! lol I was not expecting that, but I had no clue either just how much time and detail and work it takes to sketch and paint. I paid the one time fee for the plate, which includes paints. However, when doing the glossy acrylic (which does have to go in the oven), there is an additional $5-10 charge for the kiln service. Additionally, this means the project stays for about another week for the process to take place. There is another type of acrylic they have that is same day take home (no additional charges). The shop is small, found in the galleria mall and there are plenty of paints to choose from! Would absolutely return! They have a rotation of items to paint- based on seasons too. Home decor, to items you can eat from. *sorry, I lost all my other photos and only have this one to share*

We were asked if we would like them glazed and we said yes not realizing this is not done right away. So we left our pieces with them and were told it could take 5-7 days and we did not get a text message that our items were ready until 6:41 pm on November 25th. The pieces came out beautiful but the information about it not being glazed on site should be disclosed prior to purchase. Then if you are an out of towner, since this place is so close to the beach, those customers won't be able to get their items glazed prior to their vacation ending because most people aren't in town for 7+days. It's just a bit inconvenient when you are spending upwards of $50 on these items and others places that are cheaper would glaze your items on site. I don't think I'll be back just because we want instant gratification.

I was so pleasantly surprised how quickly my pottery was fired, considering how long the process can take from start to finish. I have been to multiple OCISLY events, but one of my favorite memories was crafting matching swan coffee mugs with my partner. It was so fun to do side-by-side while surrounded by creative energy and good vibes. We cherish these mugs and pull them out often smiling at the subtle unique imperfections that make each one beautiful. Thank you to OCISLY for an amazing memory that will last for years & years. We look forward to many more clay dates!

I'm sad they took away the canvas painting options as that was the reason we drove 30 min just to come to this specific location. My fault as I should have called first to double check if they still offered the canvas painting. This is the only location I knew of that did that. Oh well. There is a huge selection of pottery pieces to choose from. Prices vary pending on your selection. Came here with my daughter and she selected the cute little tea set. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the price at $54! But this is what she wanted so I cannot deny her happiness. Haha. I mean I can but I didn't know want to. It took me a while to find what I wanted to paint that was practical. We have so many pottery pieces the kids make that are just for decoration. Love when we make plates, mugs, bowls or any kitchen pieces as they are most practical. I chose the geometric vase! The vase was $37. There is also an additional $8/per person studio fee to use everything (brushes, paint, materials). This stuff can add up quickly. Our total was $117! Ouch. But fun and you can't put a price on fun experiences. Lol. Once you pick your piece, the staff will bring you a bowl of water and a paint palette. All brushes located at the tables. The you select the colors you want and put onto your palette and bring back to the table to start painting. We took our time and was here for 2 hours. But our pieces were meticulous. Ha. They also offer coffee here which is a nice bonus. Once you're done painting your piece, you can use the blow dryer to dry the paint, this prevents smearing. Give the finished pieces to the staff and they will label it for the final touch of glazing and thus completing the process. It takes about 7 days and they will call you when it's done so you can come back and pick up the finished product. Can't wait to see ours!

First impressions: I loved the concept. A cooperative-style art studio giving artists a place to create is genuinely special. When class started, the teacher, a relatively young girl, introduced herself and immediately told us not to bother telling her our names because she wasn't going to remember them anyway. I remember thinking... okay. A little odd, but whatever. I'm here to play with clay. She was very skilled and genuinely helpful during the class itself. I enjoyed learning and had a good time. At one point I noticed a pile of glazed pots sitting nearby. The teacher mentioned that unclaimed pieces get donated to a rage room. I remember cringing a little thinking about all those cute handmade pots getting smashed. After learning the wheel, you glaze your pieces and leave them behind to be fired. We were told the studio would contact us once everything was ready for pickup. A few weeks went by and I never heard anything, so I checked the website. It basically said: please do not call us, firing takes time, we'll reach out when ready. Okay... slightly cold in tone, but fair enough. I figured I'd be patient. Then life happened and I completely forgot about it. Now it's been months. No call. No email. So at this point, I'm assuming someone probably had a fantastic time smashing my pots with a baseball bat.

After a brief hiatus in 2020 due to COVID, the event returned in 2021 in a smaller format at The Backyard before expanding to larger venues like Revolution Live and the War Memorial Auditorium. I recently attended the Indie Craft Bazaar at the historic War Memorial Auditorium, which has just undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation by the Florida Panthers. The venue--flexible enough to host concerts and large-scale events--was the perfect setting. The bazaar runs from 12-5 PM and features over 95 vendors, with free admission and parking. It's also very family-friendly. I had a great time browsing a wide variety of handmade, artisan, vintage, and locally made goods. There was everything from jewelry, live plants, and clothing to crystals, candles, bath products, accessories, stickers, crochet flowers, baked goods, and stationery. One standout for me was the upcycled concert T-shirts from Backstage Trends. They also offer fun extras like free swag bags for the first 100 guests, DIY activities, and food and drinks from The Federal. Plus, you can even go ice skating next door at the Baptist Health IcePlex. It's easy to pair the Indie Craft Bazaar with other activities in Holiday Park and make a full day of it. I'm so glad I finally got to experience this unique and vibrant market!
