Founded in 2009 by Amanda Weiner and Chris Gaidry, the Indie Craft Bazaar is a premier handmade crafts and vintage festival in Ft. Lauderdale. After a brief hiatus in 2020 due to COVID, the event returned in 2021 in a smaller format at The Backyard before expanding to larger venues like Revolution Live and the War Memorial Auditorium. I recently attended the Indie Craft Bazaar at the historic War Memorial Auditorium, which has just undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation by the Florida Panthers. The venue--flexible enough to host concerts and large-scale events--was the perfect setting. The bazaar runs from 12-5 PM and features over 95 vendors, with free admission and parking. It's also very family-friendly. I had a great time browsing a wide variety of handmade, artisan, vintage, and locally made goods. There was everything from jewelry, live plants, and clothing to crystals, candles, bath products, accessories, stickers, crochet flowers, baked goods, and stationery. One standout for me was the upcycled concert T-shirts from Backstage Trends. They also offer fun extras like free swag bags for the first 100 guests, DIY activities, and food and drinks from The Federal. Plus, you can even go ice skating next door at the Baptist Health IcePlex. It's easy to pair the Indie Craft Bazaar with other activities in Holiday Park and make a full day of it. Indie Craft Bazaar in Fort Lauderdale is a great spot to get all your maker needs. I came to the one that was in the FTL War Memorial and loved it since I got to check out the space! I loved this venue and the vendors were so sweet and amazing. It was really spacious and, although I was prepared to spend, I left with more than I intended to. I love markets and vendor centric spots! It always feels good to support local businesses! My first time going and I got a mood ring, a balsamic red pepper jelly, a body fragrance body oil, and A blind box cat theme thing. Overall just a fun experience. I've been meaning to come to this for years and I'm so glad I finally did! This location has AC, huge clean bathrooms, a family bathroom and several concession stands selling alcohol. The crafts were really cool. You could tell that most of the stuff was actually made by the people at the booth. Not just a bunch of resellers selling junk off Amazon or Temu. I got a stained glass ghost, a framed preserved moth and a lovely pottery Christmas ornament. I could have bought more but I restrained myself! There was also a craft table at the front and my child was able to make two Christmas ornaments. I've heard they always have a free craft. Obviously this one was Christmas themed because I went in December. The only negative was that the music was a too loud at the vendors near the speakers. Be aware, it was packed, not that it was unbearable, but if you have a child in a stroller or use a wheelchair it could be hard to navigate. read more

I have been attending Indie for years, beginning when it was at Revolution. This switch to the revamped War Memorial is great! There was plenty of free parking, with free entry, and cute DIY projects upon entry. There are always a great variety of vendors, and this one was really good. There is plenty of room to walk around and it is easier to maneuver than before. I liked having everyone under 1 roof, although Revolution was definitely a vibe. I do wish more than 1 beverage area was open, but the selection was nice, and so were the bartenders. I am excited for the next Indie Craft Bazaar! read more

Saw many cute businesses selling all kinds of things. Plants, coffee, jewelry, candles and incense. This is definitely worth the drive. County parking is close and it was free for us today! Vendors! Crafts! Baked Goods! Art! Jewelry! Every which way you turn you are faced with exciting little trinkets, fun homemade items, artisan treats, and more! The Entrance is at Revolution Live spilling over to Stache and America's Backyard! Most of the event is inside or shaded! An Entry Fee of $5 per person is required- Once you are inside you feel immediately welcomed by all of the friendly vendors! Everyone is informational and gives you your space to browse! All of the booths that we purchased from took Credit Cards but it never hurts to bring a little Cash along! They provide a Schedule to you as there are various different events running the timespan of 12-5pm! At the time we visited they had 2 Food Trucks parked out front which were two of our local favorites! We brought our own drinks inside; they accepted! They also provide booze at the Bar in Revolution Live and America's Backyard! This was a great laid back event to attend! I'm so into this craft show. Happening every few months, it brings some of the best and favorite crafters South Florida has to offer. You have to check it out. Get on their facebook page and you'll be notified regularly for upcoming bazaars. Located at Revolution downtown Fort Lauderdale. The lot right next to it is completely free for the day, just pay the 5 dollar ticket fee when you enter the lot and you're covered. Get there early! Especially if you want one of their legendary swag bags! First 100 people in the door get one. They are full of gifts from all the venders. So worth it. Getting there 1 hour early. Venders are located in 3 different locations. You start by walking into Stache nightclub and then through revolution and then outside to America's backyard. Absolutely huge. There's tons of treats to eat, plenty of baker venders. Mimosas are $3 each! Panther coffee is also available for purchase inside Stache. Food trucks are outside. They also always have little craft sections setup with activities to do. Adults welcome! Not just for the kids. Have fun! read more

This was my first Indie Craft Bazaar and it was a fun experience for me. My friend wanted to come to this as part of her birthday weekend so we came. Got there about a hour early and managed to snag one of the swag bags which came with a lot of goodies in there. -Samples of soap -Jewelry -Stickers/business cards Since this was my first Craft event it was interesting to see it at Revolution/America's backyard. I've only been there for concerts so it was nice seeing it with the lights on haha. The weather was nice out for the outside part of the event. I did manage to snag these bacon brownies which were delicious they were from Bake My Day a definitely worth checking out. I will have to check out another one of these craft events in the future! read more

So I somehow came upon an ad for this on Instagram or something. I wanted to go and figured with the weather being yucky it would be a good Sunday afternoon. If you got there before it opened you would have a chance to get a swag bag. The rain started as soon as I got in line. Thankfully it was under a closed off space so many of us stayed dry. However several vendors had their booths right in front and started to get rained out. Eventually a little after 12 they started letting us in. One room had air conditioning working. The other room did not and it was very uncomfortable. Apparently many people had the same idea and I don't think they were expecting as many people as they had there. Some really cute items-I got a leather cuff bracelet with a rhinestone starburst like piece on it. Also got some food related stuff, yummy cookies etc. I would come again, hopefully they might have the air fixed for the next time. read more

Love Etsy? Well, this is like an in person version of Etsy! So much fun to walk through all the stalls and check out the trendy new crafts. I've gone to this multiple times ad gotten many treasures including an amazing Harry Potter locket, a Cinderalla charm necklace and glass garden ornaments made from recycled glass. Definitely get there early to sure your gift bag, then go through your giftbag first to get any good coupons (many vendors have free stuff coupons), then get your shop on! Avoid the bar, its crap and overpriced. Instead workup a hunger a walk down the street for Roc Burger. read more

This was held at 100 SW 3rd Ave Ft. Lauderdale at Revolution this time (7/13/13) I believe they had 25+ participating vendors at this July 13th event and it was at a nightclub called Revolution. My husband and I got there in time to be one of the first 100 people to get a free "swag bag" which is a small bag full of coupons of the participating vendors and some samples like soap and candy. To be honest, I felt that ICB had overhyped the event on their facebook page and on their Yelp event page and I was disappointed at the quality of products that the vendors were selling. Just about 75% of the stuff was basically slapped together with mass produced supplies found at Wal-Mart, Michaels, and JoAnns.... I had hoped that there would be genuine artisans who make their jewelry and other things from scratch. Although there was this one lady who made these amazing rose flower earrings with polymer clay without the use of a mold which is VERY impressive. And on the other side, there was this vendor who had these amazing beaded jewelry but I was very very disappointed that the owner of that booth did NOT make these pieces and instead had found the jewelry in MEXICO. That's kind of a load of crap, whitewashing by finding art and then selling it as your own. I want to see and buy things that are definitely OOAK and actually meet the artisans themselves. I just felt this event lacked true originality and really showed that there is a large gap missing between the "DIY crafters with mass produced stuff" and true artisans. I am hoping that they step up with the next event by setting higher standards of what a real Indie Craft Bazaar should consist of. There has to be a point when mass produced craft stops becoming art. Wow! What a cool event. Went there today so that I could stock up on Christmas gifts and support local businesses in the area. I never expected it to be as great as it was! The items on sale are totally off the wall, one of a kind finds. If you want to buy something truly unique, then this is the place for you. Each and every one of the vendors was super friendly and took time to talk about their work. I however had gone there with one sole mission which was to stock up on locally produced Copperpots jams and spent my entire budget feeding my love of their Spicy Pepper Jam which I fully intend on giving away as gifts to my co-workers and neighbors. Parking was free but there is a $5 entrance fee for adults and over 10yr olds. At first I was a little emmmmmmmm about that but seeing as how there was a show on at the Broward Performing arts center and parking everywhere else was $5 and upward to $20, it covered what I would have had to pay in parking elsewhere. If you are a lover of kitsch and the out of the ordinary, Go, bring cash (though most vendors accept credit cards) and just have a lot of fun! read more

Jewelry, bags, clothes, recycled record bags, hanging terrariums, delicious food and snacks and so much more!! Be one of the first 100 in the door ($5.00 cover charge but includes free parking) and get a great swag bag with little trinkets and coupons in the bag !! We went to the indie craft bazaar today at Revolution in Fort Lauderdale after seeing the events on yelp. We got there about 10 minutes before they open at noon, and there was a long line ahead of us. It took a while to get in there only two people collecting admission at the door, but we were in within 10 to 15 minutes. Even one of the first 100 , So we each got a swag bag. Each got jerky, soap, bracelets, key rings, and coupons to many of the vendors. They had bars around the place, so we got to drink while we shopped for crafts. It was really fun, something I had never done around South Florida before. The theme was very steam punk, alternative, goth, alternative style. They had a lot of jewelry, clothes, paper products, bye. Probably not the best place for a guy, before a girl, it is great. I ended up buying a shirt, three pairs of earrings for my bridesmaids, a necklace, a vintage advertisement fees, and some earrings for myself. All in all, I spent less than $120 today, and I feel like I left with a lot and I had a good time. Plus they had three dollars. I am definitely coming back to one of these events next time, I haven't found anything like this software it before read more

I have been to most of the craft events in Broward-WPB but have missed the Indie Craft Bazaar's so far due to being out of town, so I was happy to finally check it out. I kind of hate when market fairs charge a cover, but it seems to be common here in SoFla. $5. There were a lot of vendors here and a good variety of products, from jewelry (mostly the cheaper end), clothing (mostly shirts), cosmetics (mostly lotions and bath products), food (jerky, cupcakes, brownies), home dec items, prints, etc. One of the more interesting stalls had things like hand-bound notebooks and letterpress items. Generally the stalls are geared mostly towards items that would appeal to buyers in the their teens and 20s - subculture apparel type stuff. I didn't buy much but it was a nice hour spent browsing. read more

I have been to several "craft " fairs or bazaars, and most of them have a few real crafters with a load of vendors selling mass produced junk. Happily the Indie Craft Bazaar at Revolution is a craft bazaar that is exclusively REAL crafters. I would guess there were about 60 or so vendors in two rooms plus the outside participating with a wide range of different crafts. Soaps, soaks, candles, jewelry, art, shirts, etc. The selection and both myself and my friend found items to purchase as presents for Christmas. In addition, the vendors were all very very nice, and there was a rep from the event who seeing our lost look at one point, guided us personally into the next room, showed us the various points and showed us where the door to the outside section was. There is beer and drinks for purchase inside and food trucks outside. Parking is $5 but after you go crafting you can go walking in Himarshee village and have a drink or bit to eat. Every vendor I talked to took credit cards. All in all, this is a great event, and if you are a supporter of crafters and crafts, this is a must go to. read more
