Incredible service and a very clean and organized store. I'm driving from Miami Gardens and that's about a 45min to an hour drive. Well it was well worth it! I was able to get all the supplies I needed and a small discount because I have signed up for their members program (free of charge). Blick often has many sales and promotions going on, so there are things you can take full advantage of. Great savings and you can get lost in all the goodies available in store and online! Incredible value for sure!!

One of the last few true art stores left for true artists. This is where professional artists can be assured they are getting what they need. And to my pleasure and amazement they have moved into the building of what was the famous only true art store in florida way back in the 70's which was Pearl's art supply. I can't tell you the hours my brother and I roamed Pearls just enjoying the atmosphere of Pearls. Now 50 years later, a professional artist, i am able to recapture those memories at Blick. I support my local store and make the effort to buy my supplies only there. Thank you Blick !!!

From time to time, I like to do some painting, so I stopped at Blick to check out the art supplies and I was impressed by the selection and the variety of choices they had. I got some canvas, brushes and oils for my hobby ! BLICK has been "Family-Owned and Serving Artists" since 1911. It is currently in its third generation of family ownership. Built on innovation and creativity, BLICK is a company of firsts. Dick Blick's first catalog originated in 1911 in the form of a small pamphlet issued by the company's founders, Dick and Grace Blick. Their first product was a lettering pen, the Payzant, which quickly became a bestseller. Determined for success, Blick soon added other familiar advertising industry items including sign writing products, paintbrushes for signage, and other lettering tools. He later added paints with additional colors, poster paper, inks, cardboard, and just about everything both the traditional and sign artist would need. Above all, he made sure his quality art supplies were always available for immediate shipment. Today, they have become the largest and oldest provider of art supplies in the United States. Their products cater to the full spectrum of artists -- from a child scribbling with a crayon, to art students in training, to well-known art professionals. Their excellent customer service, extensive selection, and competitive prices are a great choice for those looking to practice their art.

We have been here 2x and it is super easy to get lost in all the great art supplies. We are so happy our friends told us about this store. My daughter loved picking out so many things. The staff is helpful and super friendly. Wish they were a little closer to us, but they are worth the trip.

Today Marta reminded me of why it's good to shop at brick and mortar businesses. We decided to go into Blick's because we were shopping at a neighboring store and saw sale posters on Blick's windows. Once in the store, we thought we'd like to try our hands at watercolor painting (we recently talked about doing ceramics as a new art project but figured we could do watercolor painting instead). Marta came over to us and offered to help. We asked if one of the watercolor tube assortments was on sale and she went to check the computer. It turned out that it was on sale but still a bit pricey for us to buy on a whim that we'd enjoy watercolor painting. So we started to pick her brain about paint brands and the benefits of using quality paints versus inexpensive ones. Marta was really informative. She wound up giving us a tour of the store as she helped us select brushes, surfaces, paint trays and more. She fielded all our questions. She explained why we'd want certain brush types and how we'd use them to create specific art (I told her I wanted to paint botanicals/birds and she explained how a pointed brush would help create a straight line on a leaf or petal). She shared information about brands, cold and hot press surfaces, surface thicknesses, sketch boards, etc. Marta even planted the idea of what to buy on our return to the store (masking fluid to cover parts of the surface that we want to keep untouched). She turned our store visit into a tour and a successful sale. If I ordered paint supplies online I would have missed out on all the tips she shared. We're excited to dabble in painting and are hopeful that this is the start of a fun hobby. Blick is an artist's store - it's not your typical craft store. This is where you find a variety of easels and paints. Where an aisle of surfaces and flat files of specialty surfaces exist. And where caring artists like Marta serve as store employees. We had fun today!

So much selection! Various brushes and markers.

So happy that there is a Blick in Fort Lauderdale! Blick sells high end art supplies. I love that Blick stores are always stocked with the best quality of products because whatever I pick out will be great. Everything in this location was presented in a neat and easy to find fashion. The female sales clerk behind the register was so sweet and friendly! Very refreshing for a store to have great customer service! Unlike Joanne's and Michael's where the checkout lines are endless, check out here was quick! I'll definitely be back to buy more stationary supplies here.

One of the things I've noticed recently has been that since the installation of the self service cash registers, there seems to be a belief amongst the staff that they don't have to talk to customers anymore. This morning, I had a similar experience. I went to the Michaels and found the frame that I was looking for. when I approached the register section of the store I could not find an employee. I did find a girl who was standing by the balloons and when I asked her for help, she had to tell the person on her AirPods to please hold on that there was a customer interrupting her. She then pointed me at the self serve, cash registers to let me know that those were there for my convenience. At which point she went back to talking on the telephone with her friend. I am certain that Michaels is not passing along the savings to their customers because the prices are absurd. And yet they can't seem to manage their staff at all.

The front wall and roof of the store screamed Candy Candy Candy by it's vibrantly colorful lollipops, gum drops and taffy decor. This was going to be a quick stop since parking on Wilton Drive is limited and notorious for citations by the aggressive meter maid. Based on my concern, the sole employee advised that a few free parking spaces in the rear are available for a strict maximum of fifteen minutes, which is a kind offering. The inside was much larger than the front view of the building reflects. The giant yellow Haribo bear stood proudly by the front door with bags of sour gummies hanging from it's chest. For chocolate enthusiasts, there was an entire section dedicated to fresh chocolate treats. At a quick glance, it was evident that a large amount of the candies were old school big brands. Aside from candies, there were novelty gifts which include coffee mugs with celebrity, pride rainbow and 80's TV shows like Seinfeld, Peanuts or Laverne and Shirley prints. Hundreds of hanging decorative ornaments fill the ceiling but unsure if those are for sale. Very cool candy store with alot of originality and snug parking.
